Is there a slack for this coin?
There was not, but I just created one. We can get it going if you want, just reply with your email and we can get it going. #hyper is the name of the channel.

This market is in danger of de-listing due to low trade volume and lack of user interest. It may be removed on Friday, September 23rd 2016 unless the average daily trade volume for the last 7 days exceeds 0.2 BTC. If you would like to keep the market listed, please encourage the development team to contact us at support@bittrex.com. Buy or Sell. Keep the volume up people. I have been monitoring the HYPER trading on Bittrex, and the volume has not been too low, but low enough for the Bittrex system to flag I guess. Trade a small amount over the next short while to help keep Hyper listed. jtnichol, being the PR manager, could you contact Bittrex on behalf of HYPER users?

I too fear about the dev. Anybody who disappears from a project like this for months and then reappears... It is very odd. I agree, and have said before that this project needs a takeover.
This project is not dead. It has awareness, and it has a community of people who are involved. I am not trying to falsely display Hyper. The community is not the same as say a Litecoin or a Bitcoin community, but we are here just the same. We all care about Hyper, we all like the idea of video game currencies.
This project is not dead. It is just in a temporary break. The nature of cryptocurrency prevents projects like this from simply dying. The users are still in control of a cryptocurrency. We run the software, we run the coin.
Lets stick together. Eventually a developer with some serious skills will come along and be ecstatic that a community exists here.

Eh, come on, its really not that hard, just dont play safe. Sure, playing that way you might sometimes meet the wall really fast, but eventually and gradually you will train your skill to new levels... Ill try it. Thanks for the advice! ... and the key to your defeat muahaha

I play the snake game somewhat regularly, but damn.. Some users have got some really high scores on there now, and its tough getting on the leaderboard. Crazyjack has eaten over 51000 coins! hahaha

I am having no issues with my HYPER client. Sorry, I do not have any recommendations for your issue.

Not saying it was intentional or the like, but ever since HYPER sponsored Jon Fitch, the price has started a tremendous decent down. Been away, but has there been talk of this at all?
I think that the Jon Fitch story did not get the news coverage it was worthy of. Irregardless of this fact, I believe people have been watching the Bitcoin runup, and have decided to liquidate some hyper in order to profit from various markets. Odds are the money will come back in once Bitcoin hits the top.

Just a little bit of news - HYPER-sponsored retro point and click adventure game "Troll Song" won the "Best Demo" awards at last night's (much delayed!) AGS Awards 2015. It's actually the second time Troll Song has won this award - the original very small tech demo won in 2013. development on the full game is stalled for various reasons but I'm never going to give up on it, one day it will come out! I am rethinking the idea of making the whole thing an episodic release though.
Really cool! Way to go. I look forward to the day the full game is officially released

A mac wallet would be amazing for the user base. There was one in the past, but support was discontinued and it eventually stopped working. Knowing very little about it, I would assume it is not too big of a job to fix the wallet and get it working again.

Good news! We are considering the possibility of merged mining with Bitcoins!
Would merge mining affect Emercoin's Proof-Of-Stake (POS) system? No! We will be first cryptocurrency with the PoS / Pow & Name & merged Hello, Could you possibly explain this? Or if there is a link to where it has already been explained? Thanks

I have recently heard from Shapeshift, and they are working to get HYPER back up and running on the exchange. Hang tight everyone! http://imgur.com/a/izKaH

Congratulations everyone involved!

And maybe lower the POS reward structure to 1 or 2 years instead of 5 years, to reduce inflation with this coin.
I think that most users do not want the POS schedule to be modified. Are you aware that a reduction in inflation is coded into HYPER? Pure PoS Phase 1: 5% monthly interest, applied and compounding daily (will last approx 5 years)
Pure PoS Phase 2: 10% annual interest, applied and compounding daily (will last approx another 5 years)
Pure PoS Phase 3: 2% annual interest, applied and compounding daily (will last for eternity, until the Sun swallows the Earth and long after HYPER has become the virtual world currency of choice: as human life will be primarily virtual by this point HYPER will be the de facto global Earth currency as we explore the outer reaches of the galaxy and beyond.)

Hey all.
I just got excited by the recent Coinbase news, and how it relates to Hyper. From now on, newcomers into the cryptocurrency space will be growing up in a world where multiple cryptocurrencies is the norm, not in a world where everything other than Bitcoin is a scam.
This could prove to be extremely positive for cryptocurrency and the amount of decentralization in the space.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I will review the site. My site is not perfect but I am certainly honest and real and have a depth of experience with btc and alt coins that very few attorneys can claim. I do take exception to your equating your "grading" my sentence structure et. al. with businesses that are "scams." I have been serving the public for 24 years. Please forgive me if there are any spelling, grammar or sentence structure errors in this reply. I do my best. Most importantly, I only charge when I can provide a service of value and have been giving free consultations in this area of law for the past two years. George D. Greenberg, Esq.
Think of it as being like a person driving around a wrapped car bragging about how well they can clean cars, being the best ones around, yet always having their van covered in dirt and looking raggedy. It doesn't mean that they can't do a good job, it's just a bit of irony that if they're so good... well, you can figure out the rest. You must be talking about my van! LOL..... I'm a great DJ....with a rusty dusty van. But I love her. rusty dusty van... is that a song name? lol

Will it be possible to get the snake game on steam? or is that web-based only? We need HYPER incorporated into steam now that they have opened the doors for cryptocurrency technology. More adoption with gamers is the only way that I will be able to pay for steam games with HYPER directly in the future. Unfortunately, I do not see them adding hyper any time too soon... They did not even add Litecoin.
Thoughts on how we can get closer to being a payment option on steam?
Speaking more as a gamer than a crypto enthusiast, I think they'll wait at least 6 months to see if Bitcoin integration benefits them at all. If it does, I think we could see others adopted - sadly I would not think HYPER would be very high on the list (unless of course they use a payment processor that can accept multiple different coins). But you may have hit on an idea sideways - if we could get get games that incorporate HYPER onto Steam, that would be a way to get more publicity for HYPER. Snake AFAIK is only only but I don't see as that would be a stumbling block necessarily to it getting on Steam. The problems are, unless my info is out of date (possible) that it would have to go through the Greenlight process, and getting it on Greenlight would incur a $100 fee (on the upside, if you can piggyback another developer, you might be able to get on it for free - or if not, you can put further games up on Greenlight without a fee - it's a one-off fee per developer). Now the interesting question would be whether the existing HYPER community is anywhere near big enough to boost a game's Greenlight chances. My suspicion is no, honestly, but I'm not sure. I don't know how much of an appetite there would be among existing Steam gamers to vote for a game like Snake. Retro is in vogue, and being able to "earn" virtual money may be enough of a pull. I still don't really think Bitcoin is going to gain mass acceptance but, if anything is able to get it out there, it's something like Steam starting to accept it. Like it or not, right now the all altcoins will have to piggyback any acceptance Bitcoin gets, so it's an important first step. Yes, I think we will see all altcoins benefit from bitcoin gaining more traction here. It will just take time. Games where people can earn crypto will become very popular if more gamers catch on to the whole cryptocurrency thing... We just need to have the HYPER games ready for them Exciting times for sure

It is sad to see this wrap up. Amanda was great, and you can tell she cared as she was choking up in this final episode. As good a time as any to announce: I am in discussion with a couple friends of mine about putting together a podcast that covers topics such as video games, game development (indie and organizational), cryptocurrency, Hyper, and any other topics we come up with over the planning period. It would most likely be an audio podcast, as I have no experience with videos. I have a few contacts that work in development, and I am talking with them about possible interviews. I will update this community as it becomes necessary, and if production occurs and the podcast launches. Also, if anybody has any ideas for topics of discussion, please PM me, as the project is still in the idea stage, and the more help the better Thank you all No need for experience with videos...why don't we Google Hangout and get both vids/audio at once. Doesn't take much and we can do multiple topics...this is exciting Pablo. Good for you. Unless you are wanting more scripted material. That's understandable. Thanks JT. Will PM you
