Do you have a trade history? A bitcoin-otc profile? What proof can you offer that you are a legitimate escrow service for a first-comer. Don't mean to insult your godly post count or anything, but you can never be too sure.
I have none of those. But i thought it would be fun to help out the community a little. It's ment as a way to get things moving. If you don't trust me to handle you kilo's of coins then i understand. Maybe lay out a business plan on how you are going to go about this - Ie: fees (would they be charged on a failed sale/buy etc?). I have only been involved with Crypto since late December/January this year, but what I have noticed in such a short space of time is FEAR, its everywhere, FEAR of new members, FEAR of new currencies, FEAR of change, FEAR of exchange  I even made a joke about in another thread and I FEARED I had induced more FEAR Its quite sad really, that as a community we generally FEAR each other, if we all FEAR then how can any of this Crypto actually work? Anyway I would be willing to risk 500 FTC in an initial sale using you as an escrow, if I get scammed, then so be it, mobodick will be exposed as a scammer and the community will have one less, either way, whether I do or don't get scammed, it might just help to alleviate some of this FEAR Oh and I'll take a lower exchange rate, to try an alleviate the FEAR that I am in it just for profit. Say 1 BTC or LTC equivalent (after fees) for 500 FTC? (first come first served basis - I'll let mobodick decide the fees with the buyer based on my terms) I have to get some work done now, but FEAR not, I will be back later on today. |

I still can't see a straight 50FTC transaction?......For Block #26,865? I disabled the 50FTC before this was mined. You disabled it but in a way that seems to insinuate that the rewards would still be paid out at another time, but the actual act of paying them out is suspended.. not the earning of them. You probably are very honest and added very late on the 29th but it definitely was not there at the time I joined on the 29th. Maybe a time stamp next to any of your future additions might alleviate those doubts. |

Network Hashrate: 5587.19 MH/s WOOOOOW!
Yesterday it was 2500!!!
That hashrate is incorrect and there was no jump. The network hashrate is calculated based on the average time blocks are found for a particular difficulty. Network was lucky and just found more blocks than it "should've" right after the difficulty change. It will taper out. Thanks for clearing this up. I must admit I was a little confused myself as I couldn't find any Pool that had a really significant increase in hashing power. |

well.. now we could debate that for hours i fear Either way, crappy clones are crappy clones... that's quite different than a scam. They are most likely non-viable in the long term and offer, technologically speaking, no innovation whatsoever.. but that's doesn't qualify as a scam, no until they come laced with Trojans or wallet drainers. They are toys that people who are willing to risk a few hours of mining at the very beginning may enjoy for a quick profit. that's all. They don't hurt anybody who doesn't hurt himself on the way. I agree! Crappy clones are crappy clones. On the other hand add a devoted Development team that produce things that work from the off and then continue with their support and people will start believing & seeing for themselves that there are a hell of a lot of Crappyclones out there. As with everything, only time will tell. |

Just signed up with BTER, I like that its Chinese - having a billion potential customers isn't something to be sniffed at! Some people say there are delays withdrawing on Bter.com, as it's a manual verification process. Certainly deposits appear very quickly. Manual withdrawal verification is not sustainable if they expect any reasonable volume of customers. Oh I dunno, Old English Proverb say; 'many hands make light work' At least it should be more secure this way until they can implement an automated system, decent security and get it all streamlined. |

Litecoin is THE altcoin because it *fixed* something in BTC, namely, the ASIC problem. Making almost no changes to a coin just means you have a carbon copy of it.

Litecoin is THE altcoin because Tenebrix *fixed* something in BTC, namely the ASIC problem, then Fairbrix *fixed* something in Tenebrix, namely the "pre-mine", then Litecoin copied Fairbrix, updating it to newer bitcoin code? If just copying it and while you're at it using more-recent bitcoin code is the big deal then someone should copy litecoin but use newer bitcoin code. Hmm, Feathercoin didn't even use newer bitcoin code did it? Just copy and rename? So judging by Feathercoin's success, the real secret of Litecoin's success is simply copying a predecessor and changing its name. If *fixing* the ASIC problem was the magic bullet, Tenebrix or Fairbrix (or both) should be the ones getting the accolades. -MarkM- Again I thing you should be asking the Developers of these coins? Luke is right. The only reason people buy it is to make a profit off how volatile it is. Don't kid yourself in thinking it is as good as bitcoin. Think in terms of all of the COD clones, did they ever actually succeed in being the new popular game? No, because they brought nothing substantially new to the table. COD always won over the market, just like bitcoin does and will.
BTC = COD LTC = Rainbow 6 FTC = Battlefield All brilliant Games in there own right! Edit: Also Killzone = PS3 only But a brilliant game IMO. |

There will always be people of any coin that will see it as a get rich quick scheme, there will always be users who pump & dump, the general consensus for both LTC & BTC is that have value and all those/these things have been said about those 2 coins I am sure.
The fact is they have value, because more people value it than pump & dump it or see it as a get rich scheme - I'm currently mining and have bought Feathercoin - I have not sold or taken any profit, in fact I've been Playing Blackjack online already and supporting this rapidly/seemingly accepted NEW alt coin.

I'm mining successfully with 3 x 2GB DDR5 GPU's and 4GB of system RAM - It's pretty much useless for any background tasks though  But it's a 24/7/365 miner so not an issue for me. |
