21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: SpreadCoin | Decentralize Everything | UnOfficial Monitored Thread on: January 25, 2017, 04:49:24 AM
Guys, I wish to welcome you back in the official thread.

Hope to see you there soon.

Peace!

tanx georgem ...

seems that the trolls have thinned a little out ...

ill keep this open for a while ... if not used - as i mentioned in the op - ill be happy to lock the thread ...

but it will be at the behest of the community ( as i am one also ) ...

eitherway - open discussion and communication is always a justified option for communication ... but trolling is not ... which is the bane of my life ( and many others ) when it comes to educated and open dialogue ... especially when it comes to focus on the subject matter that is important ...

hi all ...

a lot of work is being done for the cwi-ecosystem - especially in the granite ( grn ) coin and coding field ...

im still interested in acquiring the mtr projects - but just dont have the funds upfront ...

if a deal is still available on the table - then i would be interested in discussing further - but ALL the funds we have are currently in the cwi ecosystem we are building ...

@mt777 - let me know if you are still looking at placing some sort of life back into these projects mate ... you know im genuine - real - and honest ... so there will be no shafting of anything if anything can be struck ... BUT - please understand that IF there is a takeover to be had - it will done 'completely' ( as in ALL components are to be acquired ) and will be rebranded to the cwi-system standard ... then redevlopment will commence once its all finalized and we have full authority over it ...

as with anything - payment will always be the priority ... ive been in business for over 25years - and been an entrepreneur most of that time ... as with you - i have seen so many good idea die because timing and availability was always an issue ... if costing / payment is the issue currently - then we need to discuss what can be done ... otherwise - as with most projects - the equity within the projects will dwindle to almost nothing ... no matter how much money - time - or effort - you have put into it ...

thats how businesses die - and all your investment will die with it ...

if there is ANY form of negotiation further than 'deposit first' scenario - then we will have something to chat about - and breathe some life back into these projects ... if not - then im afraid there is not much else i can do on my end mate ...

sometimes you just have to bite the bullet - or lose it all ... or sell it to someone that has no interest in anything else but to make a quick profit from it all ...

i on the otherhand - actually see a good projects base - and can assimilate it into what we are doing ( and will release this year ) with granite and the cwi-ecosystem ...

tanx mate ... ill be around ...

Alexis78 optimisation in this build - https://github.com/alexis78/ccminer. https://mega.nz/#!iJYnWLQJ!jDkcfaWeK6ooYGPhPCieorva9kR9FwGQMbKsAbLY43w . Donate me, I am is super compiler  Grin !!! my BTC is  1BVSGR4cTiFJqCbKtzxZSLyB5NAD9HVGPi
but, it is all for free.
It doesn't work properly with more than 4 cards.

it works perfectly tbear ...

i have tested this version on 6 x gb 750ti oc - and 5 x gb 980ti extremes ...

as ive mentioned to you before - you need a full clean reinstall with the base system setup for mining without ANY other apps and infections / malware that 'may' be in the system - to avoid any issues you have currently with your setup ... and the oc you perform on most of your systems are not required with this version ... they are already maxed out on the intensity side - and you may need to lower this settings in your miner setup ...

soon - the 1080ti farm will be here - and i will be working towards getting all 6 cards working in the one system ... so far there has been no luck - only the 5 cards ...

#crysx
Thx crysx   yes it seems like the intensities may be to high which means lowered them back to the same hashs as 2 years ago. So no improvements. And my op is fine mining with windows. thx  Smiley

there are plenty of improvements mate ...

they have been redone is quite some unique ways ... but the you need to find your breaking point for the cards to maximize the optimization and hashrate ...

the optimization done by alexis far exceeds that of most opensource ( and many private ) miners ...

same hashes as two years ago? ... mate you have some MASSIVE issues with your system if that is the hashrate you are getting with this miner ... especially when you consider that i can use the same opensource miner - on my older cards - and get a huge increase in hashrate over and above the previous private miners i used to buy from sp ...

and that certainly was NOT two years ago my friend ...

any news?

yup ...

an update coming through next week ...

im at thefarm currently in adelaide - which is 2500kms away from home and my office ( and partner at the moment - i havent seen her for a week now ) ...

the work on thefarm is to resurrect the fallen systems and get mining again ... the work on granite is always continuing and there are many developments happening ...

i will be back 'home' friday this week - take the weekend off - and start work full time again from monday next ( 30th january 2017 ) ...

thats when ill compose the new update ... until then - i have the electrician i need to speak to for a full rewire and rebuild for thefarm infrastructure - in preparation for the asic addition ( baikal deal should go through in the coming months ) and the full gpu upgrade in the coming months also ...

ill provide details of the cwi-pool system - the custom cw-stratum - the new cwi-website - and a few other things we have been working on - including the seednodes and global distribution of these seednodes ...

our flagship coin - granite - will be the first to benefit from these upgrades - and the development that comes with the integration of not only the seednodes - but also the modules of the website that will work congruently with the granite wallet ... thefarm will play a major role in that also ...

back to work for me ...

interesting reading graham ...

i havent yet had too much time to absorb it all - but i think many points ( and ideas ) can be gleaned from it ...

i am currently at thefarm - reworking some of the areas that need to be for it to mine efficiently ... development on thefarm is stalled and i guess mining granite - spreadcoin - or any other coin is at a slight standstill for the time being ...

but i will be back 'home' ( 2500kms away - and away from my partner now for a week ... yes i miss her - im human too ) and will look over - read and reread - and absorb what has been written ...

i will be looking for a dev that will be dedicated and focused on a few things in the CWI ecosystem - of which a few ideas to be implemented ... i wonder is the spreadcoin core should be part of that? ... interesting ...

eitherway - electrician about to come and quote me on  the full rewire for thefarm ... ie - destroy the bank balance again ... Tongue ...

i have a lot to catch up on when i get back home ... which will be friday my time Smiley ...

29  Economy / Reputation / Re: [User Generated] - Known alts of anyone on: January 23, 2017, 01:51:24 PM
15 Accounts Connected: (so far)

SpreadCoin, georgem, e1ghtSpace, spreadspreadcoin, Mr. Spread, Spreadcointalk, Spreadcoin_, Mr_Spread, rhinomonkey, spreadcoiner, eightspaceaids, poachrhinomonkeys, Kim Georgem Un, Georgem W. Bush, Georgem Washington,

The keys to the connections are the four who registered on the 13th of January, 2017:

Georgem Washington Activity: 3 Kim Georgem Un Activity: 2 eightspaceaids Activity: 2 poachrhinomonkeys Activity: 2 and zero activity Georgem W. Bush

on the same page are

  • e1ghtSpace u=256837 and eightspaceaids u=941930
  • georgem u=144737 and Georgem Washington u=941972 and Kim Georgem Un u=941969
  • poachrhinomonkeys u=941935 while rhinomonkey u=542199 posts previously
  • The coin has multiple alts for it's namesake SpreadCoin
  • there are "two" Devs with the same name Mr. Spread u=360096 and Mr_Spread u=461477

Given that SpreadCoin u=123090 is registered months ahead of the other UID's listed including the Devs, I can only assume this is another pump and dump TM ShitCoin TM

Proof:

I should have read georgem 's trust wall, seems this isn't the first time they've self vouched their shit coin.

Quote
Hippie Tech 0: -0 / +0   2015-02-12   0.00000000   Reference   georgem is an alt of MyFarm aka. Spreadcoin_.

Don't be surprised if they are all Mr Spread's socks.

Reference: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=715435.msg10417032#msg10417032

Spreadcoin_ u=433065 is an alt of georgem for self vouching.

So a little bit of digging and we have:

Code:
Offline SpreadCoin Brand new 2013-05-27 0
Offline spreadspreadcoin Brand new 2014-04-19 0
Offline Spreadcointalk Brand new 2015-01-13 0
Offline Spreadcoin_ Newbie 2015-02-05 22
Offline spreadcoiner SpreadcoinTalk is better than here ;) Newbie 2016-01-10 13

Then there's a Mr. Spread u=360096 the actual Dev of the coin, who was (allegedly) banned for six months, although that's a little unclear...

...it's also unclear why Hippie Tech thinks georgem is an alt of MyFarm a search turns up:

Quote

Offline    NotMyFarm                      Full Member    2015-10-31    209

These dates don't correspond with any other alts listed, so I can't count them in at the moment... (and their trust walls yield nothing either).

Miscellaneous:

e1ghtSpace vouches for Mr_Spread u=461477 (activity just two) - who's signature is: Don't mind the registration date, it's a glitch.

Quote
e1ghtSpace 0: -0 / +0   2015-02-27   0.00000000      Totally is the legit developer of Spreadcoin. Don't trust anyone else. Wink

I think e1ghtSpace is an innocent party in all this IMO, I had a chat with him back in 2014 when he was giving heaps of support to MottoCoin while sussing him out, he lives in the same City as me but on the Bayside, he had a shitty little laptop at the time and couldn't mine much and was all in on SPR, anything easy to mine & anything he could get for free, he is a little naive (No Offense e1ghtSpace if you read this) but had so much faith in MottoCoin & SPR and probably still does by the looks of it, he even asked me for guides or tutorials on how to create an altcoin late last year after earlier trying to help me work out a coin wallet as he wanted to learn so I doubt he could of created anything of the sorts, he just likes to give his support if you read his contributions which are very basic how-to's.

He has been around since he was 13 "I quizzed him on that" but he really is a teenager.

Here is the picture of him (Sorry dude but it needs to be verified if you don't want that get negative rep sticking for being innocent)

Twitter Account: https://twitter.com/e1ghtspace
Github Account: https://github.com/e1ghtSpace (Picture looks like him in the GitProfile Picture)

Miscellaneous: I have traded SPR with MyFarm before, he genuinely to me didn't seem like the SPR dev though was just an early adopter that got lucky.

Miscellaneous#2: There is also chrysophylax who hangs in the SpreadCoin thread who said they lost their account and created this Alt to start again crysx

Seems there was recent activity on his first account but hasn't posted on it since early last year....odd as he never mentioned that he got it back...

tanx nthused ...

i was notified by e1ghtspace of this thread and of your post - and it is true ...

e1ghtspace is a good guy who means well and is really heavily interested in all things crypto - as you well know ...

he means no harm or ill will - and knowing him for a few years now - he is an allround good bloke ...

i 'lost' my account ( actually locked out of and banned from bct - of my own stupidity - NOT because it was hacked ) a while ago - and the mods of bct refused to even acknowledge any of my posts - least of all theymos ... the only one that helped me in any way was mprep - and he has limited accessibility so couldnt reset my account no matter what he did ...

recently i sent a message to another mod ( last week to be exact ) that seems to have a keener interest in actually helping people on here from what ive seen ... our core dev ( steven saxton ) was reunited with his cryptocanary account after over a year in exile from it because theymos refused to even look at it ... approximately the same time ive been locked out and banned from mine and bct ...

i am waiting on whether this other mod ( cyrus - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=78147 ) who was the one that released cryptocanary for steven when he proved it was him ... i cannot even access the account via bct due to the banning from bct ... hence this profile now ...

this is the strange thing here - i have no access to that account profile - and yet it shows i was active as recently as this month ... something i cannot explain as there are NO posts - NO activity - NO functionality of the profile apart from the date of 'activity' ... so there must be something in bct that is resetting this activity status when one of my machines tries to log in to bct ... i had many at the time i used the chrysophylax profile ...

if there is ANYONE that can help to get my old profile back - i would be more than happy to hang this one up for retirement ...

with either profile though - i sign it the same way - and my posts are the same also ... and i still argue and fight with the same morons-ahem-people that i did with the other profile Wink ...

30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Blockfolio ~Bitcoin/Altcoin Portfolio App~ Charts & Price Alerts on: January 22, 2017, 12:57:50 PM
Still missing any kind of Backup.

Is there any way I can copy/export my data to a new phone?

Thanks in advance

Hi, unfortunately we don't currently have a built in method for backup/restoring Blockfolio, it's definitely something we intend to add in the future. However, an alternative that's worked for some users are apps such as Helium or Titanium Backup which allow you to copy the app onto a new device, so that might be an option worth exploring.  You might have to manually re-enable App permissions manually in Android settings if you go this route.

Helium : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.koushikdutta.backup&hl=en
Titanium Backup : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup&hl=en

interesting ...

its a good app - yet without a backup plan - there is little that can be done in the ( quite often ) situation of a phone / tab meltdown ...

i would think that would be the priority for the next version ...

but outside of that - impressive ...

its funny reading these posts though ... especially how sp calls his customers 'dickheads' ... and everyone STILL pays him ... hehehe ...

#crysx

I'm inclined to think that 'dickheads' is a reasonably accurate description.
See, paying upfront, and sometimes ongoing fees, for something that might be a wee bit faster, on only some model cards, on some magical clocks, on a limited set of operating systems, ignoring the additional rejects, and never really receiving an upgrade that matters, takes a special kind of person. You know... A 'dickhead'.  Grin

It's really only a couple of people that continue to release their open source work for the benefit of the nvidia miners. In particular, and referring generally about recent times, I'm most thankful for Epsylon3 and Alexis, with casual but valued contributions from other folks who know who they are. Big thank you guys!

SP_ please ignore the distraction. By all means proceed with your sales of whatever-shitalgo-0.0001%-spmod to the 'dickheads'.

yup ...

im SOOO glad i stopped being one of those 'dickheads' a while back now ...

seems to me that this will continue for a long time - until sp gets as much as he can out of everyone for the growth of that farm he is building for himself ...

again - wait and see sp - there will be blood Wink ...

Sure news is coming LOL...this is a dead coin..old idea ...look into Digix if you want a gold backed coin.

I did, gold backed coins are a bad idea.  Regulations create barriers and then the regulators get ahold of the devs and its over.  Coins that can be traded for gold in Generic TEP or Assay Package is a better idea.

can you elaborate please ? ...

36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: January 21, 2017, 04:30:30 AM
SP rarely makes versions for nix, he's mentioned that and we've talked about that numerous times over this thread. That issue in particular has come up of and on over the last few years. There is no way you searched the thread and didn't find any information on that.
Ignorance is bliss bro.

I have sold the sourcecode with linux support. Tried it with my decred modded kernels. My kernels where 10-15% faster as usual, but after I sold the sourcecode the opensource got much bether just a few days later. Blake constmem precalc trick.

I am happy with "ccminer all alexis algos optimized". I do this for fun and not for profit.

To bad djm34 has quit. He is a legend. And a good teacher

Yup...

And DJM and Epsylon are both very good coders. It is a shame that DJM quit and Epsylon really doesn't do much anymore. DJM complained about unfair payments (not enough donations) and Epsylon laments about not getting enough, meanwhile Claymore and EWBF are making fists full of money with a miner fee, which I've tried to perpetuate numerous times.
heu... I didn't quit at all, I just don't really follow what's going on bitcointalk (and I am more active on #ccminer channel) but yes I avoid to release stuff, if it doesn't make sense to me financially (meaning donation are ok, but at the end of the day the whole has to match time/money ratio in par with the cost of life in my country... )

come work with us mate ...

we have the fastest miner on the planet currently on the vast majority of algos ( for maxwell - and pascal in the coming month ) - and still fully developing it ...

some algos could use your expertise ...

its obvious that a copy and paste with small teaks of other devs work is working for sp - so come and join us real devs ...

we have also a negotiation in place with baikal currently for the mid year upgrade to thefarm ... so even though its all in the background - we have NOT disappeared ...

its funny reading these posts though ... especially how sp calls his customers 'dickheads' ... and everyone STILL pays him ... hehehe ...

I do the same with all my downloads, disk space is cheap.

That makes it a lot easier for me. I can dig out some of the older ones if the're needed.

Wasn't paying attention to the project for some time, so missed a big amount of the releases. And old links posted here are no longer working.

I'd like the older ones, and looks like th3.root doesn't have 3.4.5 version in his archive.

Do you maybe have a single archive of all of the versions?

Would be very grateful ^.^
If memory serves me well 3.4.5 was full with errors in compilation...
It wasn't possible to make a binary to any of my systems, so maybe I deleted it.

EDIT: Found it on my laptop. Sent.

Thanks!

If anyone in this thread is interested, I'm hosting those at https://hmage.net/cpuminer-opt/ — the link is permanent.

nice repository there ...

cant you just assign the transactions as a single 'send' to the same wallet address using the 'coin control features' of the wallet? ...

as impressive as that script is - the coin features area makes it so much simpler - forcing all dust to a single transaction to the same wallet ...

#crysx
Oh, if it were only that simple. You see, wallet transactions are limited by number of Bytes per transaction, determined by the quantity of dust particles you've selected. There's a maximum of 70 or so that can be selected at a time before getting a "transaction too large" error message when processing. AND, they must each be selected one at a time. Even using arrow keys and space bar keyboard shortcuts is cumbersome when you've got wallets filled with 10's of thousands of dust particles and have to wait 30 or more seconds for the transactions to process before you can repeat the process. If I've missed something in the Coin Control section please enlighten me.

And Tony, I guess it's been a while since we've chatted so you've probably forgotten this. I have no winblows machines. Period. 100% MacroSuck free. Got anything for Linux?

in that context - you are right ...

as far as i know or see anyway ...

i too dont have any windows machines ( bar one for compiles im working on - and OH! the headaches ) ...

all the rest of the machines we have a linux - fedora 25 x64 for desktops and fedora 23 x64 for miners - with centos 7 x64 for servers ...
