2FA is additional security and having an email sent to you upon login is also an additional security feature.
If you wish to try to brute force passwords, the system will ban your IP after X attempts.
The system is currently running through CloudFlare and we utilise SSL certification across all domains/subdomains.
Obviously we are not going to go into detail about our security in place, but rest assured we wouldn't launch a platform which secures funds without it being secure. In short your funds are on a completely different block storage, but under advice from Matthew we cannot say anymore than that.
2FA is already in the system and will be enabled shortly. Matthew has also confirmed that a notification email will be sent upon each login as well.
As the current system stands it is 100% secure even if your account was accessed. There is no withdraw and no send, so literally nothing can be done.
Please ensure you are all using complex passwords, there are a number of complex password generators online that can help.
Currently the only issue that we are fixing is the transaction scripts so that your balances show correctly within your wallet sections and Matthew is aiming to have this done by tomorrow, he is currently working on this right now.

There hasn't been a word, so far as I know, about the why. It is save to say though that these coins, including Silk, didn't have the volume poloniex is hoping to receive money from.

He does nothing but bullshitting, trying to piss you off so you might say something he can completely twist in trying to discredit you. It's been personal from day 1. I wouldn't even be suprised if he doesn't have the 4 million, but franctly I couldn't care less. It's pretty much everybody that reacts to Trak, that makes him speak up in such extremes really. This guy is fed with negative attention by means of getting heard. On the other hand he is kid screaming and kicking on the ground because he won't get what he wants. How's the paranoia going Trak? Enjoy and annoy us some more in this Trak4ubit-show :/

Trak I'm really not concerned about liquidity, nor getting on an exchange right away. I've been in plenty of coins that have had shit for liquidity in the short term. I'm long term, I never make short term decisions... Here's an example - Emercoin... I was there day 1 release. You probably never even heard of it. See where it's at today, the list goes on. Until then, talk to the hand bro, been in this game longer than you have.
Orestes, yes Poloniex is an exchange that has liquidity and is the go to at this point in time. But, again, I don't look at short term. Was just saying for all the crybabies needing an exchange that there are other ones out there. I'm long term as I said to Trak, so I could care less about price/exchanges short term. In order to build things you need heavy PR blitz, that's all I am saying.
No matter what you do, short term will always be the most volatile whether it's on one exchange or a hundred. So just be prepared.
EDIT: And for the record, I don't care if the release is tomorrow, or if it's delayed. Just saying, reiterating my stance... Long term hold.

I don't think the old wallet will be polished so close before the release of SLK. In my point of view that's time wasted (I don't know if it really consumes a lot of time though). The price of SLK will eventually be 4000(+) and that's why Orestes had been telling everybody multiple times that it's not a bad idea to invest in SILK(/SLK). The man of conscience as I know him wants to be able to say "I explained it thoroughly" in hindsight. I shouldn't react to trak, but take an effort to read before you post. It helps in not making a fool out of yourself (again). The SLK/Darksilk was in the announcement and even had been clarified explicitly a few posts later (not even going into ETC). If you don't comprehend the material, than just ask like normal people do. Maybe you don't come across as a fudder in that case, but as a man with concerns that has good questions. In that case you might get some sympathy from people some day. I'm excited for sunday! |

Last sunday we got a first glimpse of the crucial workings of Silk/Darksilk. Next sunday is one of the last days of juli and therefore possibly (read: hopefully) the release of Silk (SLK). What is going to be in between  ? |

I don't see how anyone got F'd in the A. There would be more info about silk and exactly that is what we got. If you were expecting a release of the new silk you have been ill informed and drawn to hype. I'm looking forward to the whitepaper (hopefully) in the upcoming 2 weeks and it would be great if (the end of) Juli would still be able for launch of the new silk as has once been stated and has been withdrawn to be sure the tech (both Silk and Darksilk) would be ready for it. In that case we can expect Darksilk before september, which sounds reasonable to me and should be for investors too.
Can't have sympathy for daytraders though. They don't care one bit for the project, but if anything they try to take enthousiast's silkinvestors money by the end of the day. I guess the hype made people blind for reading the real info, not unlike the works of gossip.

Yo wtf happened, I couldnt be bothered to read it all but nicely put george. Please let's keep our emotions in our pocket like true men. I finally understand the true intentions of the commitment of trak4ubit and I can understand the care he is giving (not the way of expressing). If you guys have a problem, please just contact through skype or whatever and bitch there. This is getting really unprofessional and clogs helpful information.
