another DAG Coin, awesome! is there a Exchange to buy some coins for a test? I would like to compare with the brilliant Byteball project. Is IOTA a german project? If so ... umso besser  Nein. Das ist kein deutsches Projekt but also many Germans are there. and it's not a another DAG Coin it' the FIRST and sole DAG platform Others by the way are not pure DAG but hybrid between blockchain and DAG. If by others DAG algorithm does not work, then is the blockchain used.  IOTA is the only DAG platform with transactions without charge. IOTA is perfectly designed for the M2M industry, internet of everything, but not only for this! Trade over slack is not so good, my opinion. Maybe is cryptox.pl a good start for IOTA the admin from this exchange has experience with a DAG-coin from Byteball. dear... only some no name shitcoins that just "fork" the idea will try to sell unfinished product on some no name shit exchange as if it would have a DAG algo. There are many one day shitcoins on the one day shit exchanges like Mt.Gox. Some renowned exchanges have themselves proposed their services for IOTA. Our devs have the vision and understanding how the platform should be developed. They will never bring a half finished product one month after the launch on one shit exchange just to get the money from the naive lemmings. Well lemmings will always exist that's why have fun with your collection of shitcoins. |

Will anybody who wants to withdraw from exchanges have to do pow on their local device? If you are a notebook user you would be screwed especially when done in browser?
I make the transaction local with my notebook within 5 minutes. Very fast and very easy. No problem at all. BTW with the recent version the transaction are much faster confirmed and this isn't the last improvement that our devs make. |

Kann eigentlich was passieren, wenn ich das Claiming abbreche? Habe alte Seed eingegeben und neue erstellt. Ich lasse den PC mal die Nacht über durchrennen, aber sollte es morgen immer noch nicht fertig sein.
Nein. Du kannst ruhig das Claiming abbrechen und von vorne anfangen, kein Problem. |

Am I right deducing from iota.cool that the bulk of txs are not confirming at this time?
How long will it take before the fix is applied and txs can be sent again?
The fix is almost finished, our devs make last tests, maybe available either today or tomorrow. Just look in the slack. |

There are a few simple questions and answers that can remove a lot of pressure from devs, management, experienced users that need to be in the FAQ on the first page. lurker10, it can be that some regulations change from time to time, IOTA develops very quickly. Therefore, some things are not yet in FAQ. I would recommend you to ask in slack. Most are very helpful, we help wherever we can. |

I've made a transition of my Iotas to Nostalgia and pick new seed and all proces works fine for me. Now on GUI 2.0 my new seed is not working. Is something wrong?
so you claimed? Define "not working". Yes i claimed. When i put new seed in new GUI and clikc on login then this message appear: Your seed contains invalid characters. Only A-Z and the number 9 are accepted. Your seed is also too long. When try the same seed in nostalgia and iri-1.1.1.1 is everything OK. I can see my balance. Maybe nostalgia convert the small letters into the upper case letters? and special character to 9's? Maybe you copied a special character at the end of your seed? Try to replace manual all special characters. Only A-Z and 9 is allowed, nothing else. I generate 2 new addreses and now is OK. Balance is OK. When i log out and log in with seed, message is appearing again, but balance is OK. Can i generate new seed? generate a new seed for the same addresses? Of course not. But you can generate new seed for any purposes any time, also manually. |

Ich habe neulich mit Dominik Schiener gechattet und er hält einen Börsengang vor Weihnachten für möglich und auch angestrebt durch sie. Schauen wir mal.
Würde mich freuen,....daran glauben ..hmmmm....es wäre ein schönes WeihnachtsWunder ...ich warte inzwischen seit Monaten auf Coins von Seccour die er als Escrow verwaltet. Er hat meine Bitcoin versendet und die IOTAS erhalten, bekommt aber den Client nicht zum Laufen um mir meine Coins zu schicken,......ich hoffe echt das die Sache.noch gut aus geht für mich :-/ Seccour hat GESTERN seine escrow Dienste im deutschen slack wieder angeboten, wie kann er denn als escrow dienen, wenn er das IRI nicht zum laufen bringt? Ich glaube, es ist besser, wenn man ihn öffentlich bezüglich dieser Sache anspricht. z.B. in #general? Gibt es auch eine Anleitung, wie ich mir diese Wallet installieren kann? Bei allen bisherigen Wallets brauchte man eine feste IP-Adresse. Das klappt bei mir irgendwie nicht.
Ja die gibt es und ja du brauchst ein Server mit fester IP. Hinzu kommt das du deine eigne IP von einem anderen Server adden musst. Du kannst nur connecten wenn der andere dich auf die whitelist setzt. Ich habe keine feste IP, aber mit DNS von noip.com (übrigens kostenlos) funktioniert es ganz gut, die Verbindung ist stabil und ich bin immer synced mit dem Koordinator. |

Geh einfach deines Weges. Niemand zwingt dich hier zu investieren und wenn wir alle auf böse Betrüger reingefallen sind dann ist das eben so. Crypto ist Risiko, war es und wird es immer sein. Und an Achim etc, ich denke es macht keinen Sinn Leute überzeugen zu wollen welche offensichtlich wenig Bereitschaft zeigen. Also ist es das beste wenn einfach jeder seines Weges geht, wir unser Geld verballern und er sein Geld in andere Projekte investiert. du hast völlig recht ImI |
