21  Economy / Gambling / Re: SatoshiDICE.com - The World's Most Popular Bitcoin Game on: July 01, 2016, 09:50:15 PM
Let me clarify what I mean by saturated. The BTC wagered over the past 4 weeks is very small compared to such a large bankroll. So site profit (even taking into account one bad run) is pretty diluted from an investor perspective. Low volume + big bankroll = small profits. I'm not saying any of this is bad. I just wanted to put some context to tarantoga's comments that "investments are returning" and citing a big bankroll as evidence.

Why does my percentage of total site investment less than it should be? Is the bankroll bigger than is publicly posted? There is a very large discrepancy from what my percentage should be.

SatoshiDice has been working quite well for the last few weeks!
Investments are also returning, with over 4500 BTC invested.
Keep up the good work. It's fun to play again Smiley

Let's be honest, investments have been okay. Just 1% return in past 4 weeks. Bankroll is too saturated.

Is anybody else having trouble logging in? The site is up, but when I log in it takes a while to load and then it takes me to the home page.

Wow! Helpmywallet is still going at it.

My "coding" is available for everyone's use and it simply utilizes the moneypot simple dice api. My reckless wagering is against the moneypot bankroll. My winnings or losses are mine to sorrow in or rejoice.

HelpMyWallet

Thank you for posting. Congrats on your win.

I appreciate the very quick responses. I take back my unverified statements. I was unaware that the Bitcoin Dice site existed. Thank you guys for the clarification.

But this opens up another can of worms, I'm not sure how I feel about the owner of a site gambling large amounts against his own site with a 50% kickback. It seems like he's a pretty big loser on other sites, but a huge winner overall and all because of his site. Not saying he is doing anything wrong, but it doesn't give off the best perception to investors that the guy who wrote the code is betting against it and winning huge somehow. I will research and think about this some more.

first of all this app owner and player is not a winner if you check his history of last year. that he will win sometimes is very normal

all app owners are wagering on their own sites and investors are profiting from this. do you want to stop the owners from wagering on their own sites?

MP is provably fair and we all are glad about it

what is needed is Patience and trust

I never said I had a problem with an owner betting on their own site. I said I would think about it. My gut feeling is that I have no problem with it. But I want to do a little research myself.

The user helpmywallet is clearly up according to his public betting history. I don't know why you are saying otherwise, unless there is something I am missing. https://www.moneypot.com/users/helpmywallet

What helps build trust is everyone's quick responses and clear explanations of what happened. As an investor I appreciate that very much.

Oh, I see it now. That leads me to a couple questions about your betterbets and moneypot info.

Does the daily profit that you post match betterbets or moneypots profit? I see that it's broken down when you look at the moneypot app stats. It looks like your tracking the moneypot bankroll and calling it the betterbets bankroll. That's why I'm asking.

You might want to look at adding Bitcoin Dice (https://bitcoin-dice.github.io/) to the moneypot data. Had a huge loss the last 24 hours hours. Looks like the site has only been around a month, but it has cut into investor profits big time.

Can you point me in the direction of what app or site cause such a big loss for moneypot investors in the last 24 hours. I can't find or verify it myself.

I really dont think it was a very big loss.  like 4 or 5 months ago was a big loss when a player hit a huge payout with a large bet.   The swing you are talking about isnt too bad at all.  Keep your money invested and you will get it back.

An unverifiable loss that wipes out 1 month's profit in a day is pretty standard?

I really could care less about the swings. I just want some transparency because betterbets (which is like 80-90% of the MPs betting volume) had a winning 24 hours. So some small app just wiped out a month's profit. Seems a bit strange to me that a small app could cause such a big swing.

Thanks for that info. I will check those sites out.

Could you list some sites that didn't make the cut on your site, but are on the fringe? For example, a site like Bitvest. I'm looking for some more investment options outside of the sites you have already listed.

The withdrawal and invest tab work on the full site. I haven't tried mobile.
