Sooner or later, the crypto community would soon realize both pros and cons of Bitcoin and its derivatives, that in the event that happens, they should take sides. I guess "the ball is now in the hands of the developers" of this projects and their capability to further improve and innovate more to ensure long term survivability. Imho.

The miners are the ones who run the network.  this is why the devs are trying to remove them and also why miners should be hiring devs like SV  seems to be doing IMO.

Yeah, projects with POW mining algorithms have an inherent risk of being compromised and that is a bit risky. If they could only upgrade the network to change its mining algorithm to other more secure algorithms that uses less energy, then I think it might be good for all of the community.

Nice try to twist my words lol.  that is not at all the point lol.  the algo is not used in bitcoin like how encrypted files in storage uses an encryption algo lol.  and the community has nothing to do with mining LOL.  And your comment about POS or hybrid algo & electricity shows you do not understand reality based security at all.  good luck.

the only digital coin that is worth consideration IMO is the one that can scale and is secure.  If it cannot stop double spending or if it cannot properly scale then no one will use it as money at scale.

BCH is now a dev based consensus model so there is a single point of failure same with btc.  The goal of the anti-bitcoin crowd is to add back in 3rd parties like Lightning network and dev based permissions/ liabilities like all vulnerable pre-bitcoin projects had.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: March 07, 2019, 08:40:38 AM
Are your incorrect blatherings driven by ideology?

The same could be asked of you.

There are several coins up more than BCH, take for example Binance Coin

Which is why I would not make the claim that Binance coin "is dying". The careful reader will note that the claim to which I was responding was that BCH "is dying". Which -- at an increase on the day -- is quite clearly false.

I don't much GAF about Binance coin, which is why I did not comment upon it until you drew me into a discussion upon it. But at least I can be truthful about it, which is more than I can say about tbct_mt2. Why you feel the need to spout off on the topic with a non sequitur about Binance Coin is beyond me.

That one is in similar class as gemmybitzzzzzz.  Maybe not quite as creative but certainly famous troll account/

I have recently received a patent on lightbulb jokes.

Have a nice life.

Sorry your patent is invalid I blogged about my patent years ago

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=582994.msg6386214#msg6386214

I have 700 other types of joke in patent, if you want my jokes in your country accept me!

blog no longer counts because law.  https://www.uspto.gov/patent/first-inventor-file-fitf-resources

"The first inventor to file (FITF) provision of the America Invents Act transitions the U.S. to a first-inventor-to-file system from a first-to-invent system and became effective on March 16, 2013. The provision introduced changes to 35 U.S.C. § 102 that impact patent prosecution directly.  This resource page gathers information about patent prosecution under the FITF system all in one place."

Unless someone chooses to ride in on a white horse... this would be a good time to dump your idiotic BSV imho.

Mmm Hmm... Meanwhile, the average BTC block size has been creeping up again. We may already be on the edge of the next blockalypse.

The first blockalypse never happened. What has happened since December 2017? BCH's market share has plummeted and bitcoin has survived just fine.

Un Hunh. And what happened to all that adoption that was building - right up until the point that BTC could not handle the demand?

Quote
Which of course will be accompanied by ever-lengthening confirmation times, and soaring fees. Once BTC returns to its eventual equilibrium of unusability, where do you think the tx demand is going to go?

Well that's easy: Lightning Network.

No. LN cannot onboard enough people fast enough to be a contender. Not to mention all the evil that will be unleashed when the chain does not have the capacity to handle renewals or cashouts. Even if it had the value capacity for meaningful commerce. Or even if it had simple clients. Or the ability to route in a malleable environment of channels coming and going, with users wanting trustless, permissionless, decentralized operation.

Wow... I know enough about you to know you, more than the average person,  have the skills to do simple deductive reasoning...  If lightning doesn't have the ability to onboard people fast enough for OFF CHAIN... then  how will BSV be able to confirm that may payments ON CHAIN without centralizing?  It takes ONE TX to go off chain and then to do do millions of transactions using that SINGLE off chain TX.

Doing everything on chain is an interesting future goal... but it is decades out.

(key words "on chain")

You seem to be missing the fact that everyone who wants to employ LN needs to perform at least one onchain tx. Only then can they engage in gajillions of off chain channel txs. No room on the chain, no room for more LN adopters.

How many Bitcoin txs have you done in the last year? What percentage of those were opening, closing, or maintaining LN channels?

Until a cabal of subverters decided to cripple BTC, doing everything on chain was just The Way Bitcoin Worked. Fortunately, in the cases of SV and BCH, doing everything on chain is still just the way Bitcoin works.

Some of the same subversive items that crippled btc are being added to BCH so it is only a matter of time before both liability and subversion becomes obvious on the BCH chain also.

money is not needed at all

why do we need LN if bitcoin was invented to fight LN?
LN is another great deception of the people

before you talk about technology - money must involve, they work hand in hand,
Before technology becomes economy needs finance
technology don't grow on trees Wink

All materials used, down to the water he drank during his days of brainstorming Grin was bought with money and not with any technology

you are funny.  So before money existed no one drank water?

34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: January 30, 2019, 11:28:08 AM

Lol! Please spare me the technology mumble jumble, and i can see you are a hip of clues about how btc technology works, so tell me, what good is technology without monetary value alongside? Do you buy technology with your poo Shocked or you need money to do it?
Show me which technology that is for free? Grin
Everything in this life revolves around money - price, btc is no exception.
so yes, am more concerned about the price for now, Wink

the technology is economic lol.  But if you prefer us dollars then by all means good luck..  let me know when your dollar can store a song in it..  Wink

fake satoshi and company goal is to destroy the real bitcoin ...get over it! :\  ===> these crooks need jail time imho weee

I believe he believes what he is doing is right but what he has done has caused great harm to the crypto market in general. I don't think he cares that most of us have lost money. He comes across as selfish, mean-spirited, and narcissistic in my opinion.

And what exactly do you think he has done lol?

Craig has systematically been working to save BitCoin since day 1.

Jihan WU gas-lighted him and then stabbed him in the back in order to cause first btc/bch split and again his moron devs et al split bch/bsv now.  Yet in spite of this Craig is fighting for the innovation known as bitcoin to have a chance in this world.

it seemed very mean-spirited and selfish in my opinion but maybe you believe you are doing right IDK..  But why do people who like to say things about Craig only have emotional items to complain about?  Meanwhile actual bad actions like chain splits have been caused by JiHam and Ver and they get a pass because they say please and thank you once in a while in public?  I think your standard is way off for real life money.  Money and wealth is not based upon pretty please it is based upon real things not emotional reactions.  BTC and BCH are now in the hands of bad actors and all anyone can say about Craig is that he hurts your feelings?  BSV PLS

One of good news recent days is Bitcoin Cash and DASH might make a partnership in the future (as Roger Ver disclosed).
The news mentioned in the ANN topic of DASH project.
#dash_force

Bitcoin Cash [BCH] and Dash can work towards bringing economic freedom to the world, says Roger Ver

https://ambcrypto.com/bitcoin-cash-bch-and-dash-can-work-towards-bringing-economic-freedom-to-the-world-says-roger-ver/

proof roger does not understand cash vs. money lol.  I guess he needs to go back to where he learned about economics to study more Wink

Its quickly abandoning itself. We already have a bitcoin, its called bitcoin, and its doing just fine.

No. Satoshi's Bitcoin did not include the abomination we call SegWit.

... ant Ctor, and DSV,

tru dat

You guys are missing the point. The general public, which your fork of a fork is trying to appeal to, don't care about what was in the original white paper. It's a talking point aimed at crypto enthusiasts who might be on the fence, and are easily manipulated. The average world citizen doesn't care about your interpretation of the white paper, they just want a product that works and is usable.

Technologies advance, adopt, evolve. Hence, SegWit and LN. Bitcoin Cash has big blocks yet far less transactions per day than BTC, and SV has even bigger blocks and even fewer transactions. You can continue to think, "yeah, well, that will change in the future." But I just don't see that happening. More likely BTC will just continue to evolve to meet user demand and its knockoffs will continue to flounder.

the Bitcoin whitepaper proposes a specific economicmic model that does not parallel with the lightning network as you can see if you read the first page of the whitepaper. The lightning network is literally, an off chain solution that has nothing to do with hash power. Hash power is what backs the bitcoin economy, lightning network takes that away by proposing ‘2nd layer’ (a dummy name for third party) solutions.

We are talking about two completely different experiments here.

So for some, what ‘constitutes’ bitcoin is a document, not a ticker symbol ruled by the likes of a third party exchange.

the USA is still an experiment much like the wheel.

38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: January 27, 2019, 03:44:07 PM

Will Bitmain continue propping up Bcash?  Do the small fry bag holders regret not selling before the fork ?  Are Bcash and SVcash cancelling each other out and having a race to the bottom? Is Satoshi shaking his head and saying to himself "these guys are obsessed with my white paper, they need medical help"

These are the questions that must be asked.

the only group following the whitepaper is the BSV coin

USD price line too

if bitcoin falls to 1000, then BCH will not fall lower than now

ETH may drop to $ 10, LTC to $ 4, but BCH may not fall below $ 75 because nobody bought it cheaper

So you are saying that the people whom bought BCH at 75 usd are too stupid to sell when the price drops lower than 75??  Wow great fundamentals your coin has.  Yeah it is true that when people find they have been scammed they dig in further to ignore reality...  I am just kinda shocked to hear you claim that as an algo for your coin.  You realize you literally just admitted in a backhanded way that BCH is backed by nothing other than scamming right?
