I really don't want to format my linux box for installing 64bit version or Windoze.
Any suggestions will be very wellcome.
@K0T0: You may copy the chain database from a synchronized Windows machine.
Don't forget to save (backup) your terracoin.conf and wallet.dat files (from your linux machine), then copy the rest from Windows.
That's what I did, and it worked! See below post:I've finally managed to copy the block chain from Windows to Linux!
Here is how:
1. Copy the ENTIRE Terracoin folder from Windows (which was synchronized) - without wallet.dat and terracoin.conf
2. Paste to .terracoin folder in Linux
3. IMPORTANT! Delete .terracoin/database/log.00000000 files! (all log.xxx files from .terracoin/database/ folder!)
4. copy your saved wallet.dat and terracoin.conf files to .terracoin folder on Linux
5. start the daemon (terracoind -daemon)
Done! Linux daemon is now synchronized!

Am pornit si eu iar mineru , vad ca a cam iesit lumea.
am pornit un -rescan, pentru verificarea wallet-ului pool-ului... e posibil sa nu functioneze pool-ul pentru aproximativ 15 minute daca sunt erori, incearca sa te conectezi din nou peste 15 minute! multumesc pentru orice feedback! |

se pare ca am reusit sa ii dau de cap! inca nu sunt 100% sigur, inca testez... dar pare ca e ok!
am reusit sa copiez block chain-ul de pe Windows pe Linux, fara sa mai am eroarea aia in baza de date.
-- dupa ce am copiat complet folderul Terracoin de pe Windows in .terracoin pe Linux, a fost nevoie sa STERG tot ce era in folderul /database/ ... adica am sters fisierele log.000000x. Dupa care am adaugat terracoin.conf si wallet.dat si am reusit sa pornesc daemonul linux sincronizat la ultimul bloc! --
o sa mai testez un pic... sa vad daca s-a rezolvat 100%

Nu stiu cum functioneaza un pool, dar nu este posibil sa-l pornesti si doar partea de daemon s-o rulezi prin wine? (stiu ca am mai intrebat)
Concret, pentru cateva minute am minat solo in Linux dar avand un terracoind.exe de (cu config-ul necesar) ruland in wine.
@philips: pool-ul nu poate functiona cu daemonul prin wine... site-ul accesseaza daemonul Linux prin php singura sansa este sa ma prind care e problema de compatibilitate si sa reusesc sa mut baza de date de pe Windows pe Linux (pentru ca de la developers nu se vede nicio reactie) |

Linux 32-bit terracoin client is not synchronizing, always stucks at block 137161... and I try to copy the block chain from a Windows 32bit machine (which is already synchronized). But, when I try to start terracoind (the daemon) on Linux, I get this error: " Error: Error initializing wallet database environment /root/.terracoin!" It seems there is a database incompatibility error... maybe the Windows binaries were compiled with a different database version than my Linux terracoind (compiled from sources, on a machine running ubuntu 10.04 32 bit). So... I am still stucked with an incomplete block database, unable to use the blocks chain from Windows. --- Any help or suggestion to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated...  din pacate "serviciul" nu mai poate fi oferit pana nu se rezolva problema cu bug-ul din clientul de Linux 32, sau pana nu gasesc o solutie pentru a transfera lantul de pe Windows pe Linux

la inceput eram pe 64, dar apoi am mutat serverul (acum vreo luna) pe un Linux 32 bit
wine nu e o optiune... serverul ruleaza remote, am access doar in linie de comanda
am incercat sa copiez lantul de pe alte 2 calculatoare -- tot 32 biti -- (unul cu Win7, si altul cu Win XP)
fara succes insa, nu a mers clientul de Linux cu bazele de date de pe Windows

se pare ca e o problema cu clientul Linux 32 biti... desi, singura informatie pe care am gasit-o este neoficiala, aici: TRC: 32-bit Linux client cannot synchronize with TerraCoin network@philips: nu reusesc de niciun fel sa transfer baza de date de pe Windows... in orice caz, nu am reusit inca sa pornesc pool-ul, pentru ca demonul nu porneste cu baza de date copiata de pe Windows (am incercat de cateva ori, si da eroare daca copiez tot folderul... iar daca iau doar blk0000.dat, il ignora si re-downloadeaza chainul de la zero... ca apoi sa se blocheze iar la blocul 137161) |

@philips: am reusit sa transfer chain database de pe Windows pe Linux, insa acum ramane blocat la blocul 137429
(exact blocul mentionat de tine ieri)
nu vad nicio reactie pe forumuri referitor la probleme cu terracoin... ma intreb, sa fie oare sfarsitul TRC?

Clientul de Windows se sincronizeaza, iar blocul 00000000000342fd6e38765cc6f8f56d60c49e3e9522a54d99f561d35800a293 (137162)
nu mai apare in debug.log.
Am mutat tot continutul folderului Terracoin (cel care contine blocurile, wallet.dat etc) din Windows in cel echivalent de Linux iar acum si clientul Linux se sincronizeaza.
Evident, wallet.dat trebuie pastrat.
@philips: multumesc inca o data pentru ajutor. am facut acelasi lucru, clientul Windows s-a sincronizat, insa dupa ce am mutat fisierele din Windows Terracoin pe Linux in /root/.terracoin (pastrand wallet.dat), nu porneste demonul terracoind... da mesajul de eroare: Error: Error initializing wallet database environment /root/.terracoin |
