Here's a video I made today showing comparison of T-9 11.5 vs. S-9 12.0 variable frequency power draw at the wall. Uses more power, but runs cooler. At 210 VAC T-9 uses 1352 W, hashes at 11.5, highest chip temp 80C S-9 uses 1329 W, hashes at 12.0, highest chip temp 94C https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yHJzo7A312cwhats is you room temp ? and S9 batch ? because latest batches have less temp than earlier one

i think they figure the reason of high S9 hashboard failure it's the power needed for the chips! so they produced T9 with 180 days warranty each T9 board have 57 chips instead of 63 and need 480W to power instead of 400W less chips more power!

Happy New Year All!! I would welcome any assistance with a controller board issue for a 13.5TH/s S9.
This is a S9 (October 2016) and I believe there is a failure of the controller board (single piece). I have older S9s at 11.5TH/s, and this controller board looks very different. I have requested a replacement controller board for Bitmain and hopefully they respond.
Symptoms include: No way to access the eitherner GUI screen. I have reset many times, unplugged bashing boards, and still no way to find the unit IP or GUI screen. The small red lights on the hashing boards do not light up at all during any period. I can't update the firmware because there is no way to access the S9 interface.
Long time miner, but this one really stumped me. Of course, happy to donate BTC to anybody who can find a fix. ☺☺☺
try to use another power supply and connect to another internet router with using IP Reporter again on this new router to create virtual IP on it ( after reset your machine )

it still get X's after some hours from working they send me defective board and now i have 3 boards damaged on the same machine use there latest auto tune firmware and on Ambient temperature lower than 15C all the day with EVGA 1600 PSU i have another 4 S9 and they doing well this is the only machine hurt me from the beginning

now in lower than 12 hours there new board that replaced on paid repair is start to give me X's every time i reboot in temp lower than 86C and after i send the other both boards!
What temp is reading 86c? the chip or board temp? the chip with auto fan we have temp lower than 10C now in winter they sent me 550M board by mistake which have lower heatsink like this ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2F6nW3Ktt.jpg&t=663&c=A4LNaJhzClz58Q) i installed 550 firmware and it's working fine for 90 minutes now now if they repaired my both boards and send it back i still need to work them on 550M to protect this one from damage i am disappointed and don't know what should i do with them!

@bitmaintech
So I have a batch 11 I believe it was. They run at 550 MHz. My intake air atm is less than 0c. What will happen to this miner come summer. I was able to downclock to 500 last summer as 30+c was too much for them. So in looking at temps of chips I'm not impressed at the cooling. Pulling in -14c only dropped chips temps to 80c. That's terrible cooling. So if I upgrade to this auto tune fw. What is going to happen to my miner when temps rise. I have a pretty good idea. I just want to hear it from you!
BR
Your gear will not be happy unless it is in a room under 80f. Auto tune really demands a cooler room. But this is just an observation from the 8 units I have used. They need to make auto tune have more choice for setting frequency. It starts with 550-600-650 as your choice once you pick it is stuck there pretty much. It should offer 450-500-550-600-650 what will happen in the next summer ? i don't test this auto tune on summer yet, we get hight temp here, more than 100F

I tried updating one of my first S9s I think it was 550mhz I updated first to the new auto tune firmware, but nothing happened even after setting pools and rebooting. So then I loaded the S9 recovery firmware, and it started working again. Then try the new autotune firmware, and I'm getting this (I think one board has always been dead, so that is not a surprise) Is it ever going to start hashing? Been 2 hours. check PIC voltage=940 on chain[0] check PIC voltage=940 on chain[2] check PIC voltage=940 on chain[3] set command mode to VIL

I apologize. Is that the pound symbol that says code or is there another way? Do you have any helpful input as far as why the miner appears to be OK as far as status lights but is not hashing?
the new firmware can't work if one of your boards have an issue so just remove data cable from one board at a time and open your machine until you get the damaged one and you machine will work with 2 boards

Want more Blocks?
Shift the hash power from other pools to here.
Bring in more people.
Slush increased from 84 PH in Jul to 150 PH now antpool increased from 330 PH/s in Jul to 440 PH now btc.com get 130 PH from Sep to now kano is the only pool decreased in this period of time from 43 to 29 now we can't get people to pool they are not convinced by
