23  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Paypal troubles? on: March 27, 2013, 12:06:38 PM
I ordered a BitForce Single SC last week (on friday) using Paypal. Although I was well aware of what's going on with BFL and all when I placed the order, a few hours later I had a gut feeling and canceled the order. I also created a "dispute" in Paypal over the transaction, just to make sure that Paypal will hold my funds in case BFL was planning to run away with all the funds in their Paypal. (Paypal automatically creates a "hold" whenever a dispute is created.)

god this is fail. i hope you lose all your money, and... this is a wild guess, but all your fucking litecoins too.

btc's new found fame is just killing this board with stupidness. i hate it.

You are a fail to humanaty mate, i hope you carry on with your shit life enjoying peoples missery and also enjoy.. this is a wild guess, but your tiny cock too.

Im sorry for using inapropiate vocabulary, but it just pisses me off so much that this guy comes here seeking for help worried because of loosing his money and this guy sais this..

Bitcoin is a voluntary system.  It is not "required" that you include a fee.  You are welcome to attempt to broadcast a transaction with no fee (some wallets prevent this under certain circumstances, others will allow you to do so regardless of the circumstances).

However, peers are not "required" to relay your transaction.  They are welcome to refuse to relay it for any reason they like.  Most peers will be running the "reference client" called Bitcoin-Qt.  In that case they will relay most all transactions, but if the transaction appears "spammy" or like it could potentially be part of a denial-of-service attack on the network, then they may refuse to relay the transaction if it doesn't include a sufficient fee (typically I think that fee is...

Hmm ok thanks mate, so is there aniway to determine the kbps of a message? i guess these are influenced by the number of adresses right?
26  Other / Beginners & Help / Super noob question about payment fees on: March 25, 2013, 05:32:57 PM
Hi,
Super noob question, keeping up the forum's sections spirit

Ive heard transaction fees here and there..

So for what i know:
Apart mediator fees like from mt gox and all of that there are fees which happen every time you make a btc transaction which are distributed amongst miners. How much are these fees? does this mean for example if i have to pay someone 1 btc i will need to put 1.01 for example to compensate?

Also I've heard of free bitcoin sites collecting payments and doing them in bulk in orther to save on fees, how is this? are the fees not charged on a 1 wallet transaction basis?

Cheers

Hi,
Firstly, sorry if its a really stupid question.

for what i know:
Digital currencies can be easily doble payed (using same coin to pay two transactions)
To aid this, all transactions are held upon confirmation buy all the mining machines looking for blocks.
These miners are rewarded with newly generated coins that get produced.
Difficulty levels adjusts in order to equilibrate the mining of coins which also half every 4 years.

So the question is: when the number of bitcoins reaches 21 millions and no more coins are produced,
will all the bitcoin system rely on non-rewarded donating miners in order to not go wrecked?

Don't forget that dividing by 2 with 8 decimal places can get pretty lengthy...
by 2030 most of the 21 millions coins will be mined, however, the halving will continue 25 now, 12.5 in 4 years, 6.25 in 8 years, 3.125 in 12... and so on until we hit decimal halving only...  we are really far away from the day were a reward might be 0.00000225

Smiley

hahaha ye i thought about that aswell, they would never end technically. Will see if they are worth a million $ to compensante

31  Other / Beginners & Help / Opening orders with MT.Gox do I need funds? on: March 24, 2013, 07:51:01 PM
Hi for the first time  Smiley,
I wanted to buy a btc from mt gox so opened an account today, so my question is if I open an order smaller than current min. ask price can I keep it going until I make a deal without funds and then transfer them into my account? or do i need to have already existant funds in order to do this?

I dont really want to put in money yet just in case i see my offer is not going anywhere and i have to deposit more funds again in order to rise it.

Thanks in advance
