21  Economy / Economics / Re: Why aren't people utilising cryptocurrency payment methods? on: August 14, 2022, 04:36:05 PM
In huge majority if cases Bitcoin transaction fee is only a problem if you are using wallets where you can't manually set the fee so the wallet makes you overpay the transactions several times over. Alternative is to use wallets like Electrum with the combination of https://mempool.space/ where you can check what's the fee needed for your transaction to go through. Use that and you will see that sending bitcoin ain't that expensive at all.

This is a good idea but not everyone can set the right fee using this type of wallet, in my case, i use the wallets which already have a set transaction fee, i will have to switch to electrum wallet to i can manage my transaction fees on my own but i have no idea how to use mempool.
22  Economy / Economics / Re: Most people more and more people depend from this on: August 14, 2022, 04:07:26 PM
Everyday we wake up and i ask is btc long or short.
Nowdays this is biggest question and most important one
We wake up morning we ask is the day gona be LONG or SHORT day
Many people asking thus everyday will be short or long and how short or how long will be long or short.
Before we go to bed we think isit going to be short or long if we leave position open for the night.

So yeah.

If you are a futures trader this can be a problem for you, not knowing if to long or short btc and from your post you seem to lack the knowledge to trade futures, why stress yourself in area you have no idea instead to just hold your coins! market is fluctuating a lot which makes it difficult to know which direction it will go.
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Biggest mistake in crypto? on: August 11, 2022, 07:49:23 PM
In my opinion,  no bigger mistake than holding your bags all through a bull circle without taking advantage to the ath to buy back at a much lower price. This has happened to me and I felt really bad not making the right decision at the right time.
24  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is dead! on: June 18, 2022, 06:09:24 AM
Maybe the next bull run btc will go as high as 100k and those who are busy selling now will fomo back in at ath and then sell when it crash down to 50k and then they will spread different fud on how they lose money on btc when they refuse to learn and understand the market circle.
25  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Food for Thought!!! (Bear Market Special) on: June 18, 2022, 06:03:21 AM
Some people are just too pessimistic towards the bear market and that's why they fail to take advantage of the cheap price, they spend time being negative towards the price and spread fud about btc going to zero or will never go back to previous ath. History has proven time and time again btc will always surpass previous ath and set a new record.

We have a lot of sell low and buy high investors in the crypto space, it is in their nature unfortunately.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: 🔴🔥🔥$60K WORTH of ETH REWARD FUND 🔴🔥🔥INCUBATEX LAUNCHPAD BOUNTY 🔴🔥🔥🔥 on: May 27, 2022, 07:44:41 AM
This is the best thing about this bounty it pays via ETH and did not pay via NFT. So investors has no reason to get dumped by bounty hunters! Just keep it up.

Don't be so excited hunter, you haven't been paid yet, there is no escrow to the funds and to crown it, the reward is tide to the amount of nft minted, if only 10% or 1% was minted during the course of this campaign that's what hunters will get, i hope you read that part properly.  Tongue

Why have same campaign on the service section and some members claim this campaign is scam not authorized by 1xbit team.  Undecided
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FC Barcelona may issue official NFT and enter the Metaverse on: March 06, 2022, 03:04:53 PM
Quote
Companies developing their metaverse

• Meta (Facebook)
• Epic Games
•JP Morgan
• Snapchat
• Microsoft
• Samsung
• Amazon
• Adidas
• Nvidia
• Apple
Can't say am not surprised to see those big names getting into the Metaverse ecosystem, Am still finding it hard to believe about Apple, the rest of them I have read something about it, perhaps, the next big name to see on the list will be Google  Wink,  it will be crazy, soccer games will do well in the metaverse space and Barcelona just jump in early.

In 2 to 3 years from now if these companies above are able to successfully build and launch there metervase, it will be huge, the entire crypto space is getting widely spread, through metaverse most big companies are coming in, most of the big football clubs are creating their NFT for their fans, the other day I saw PSG ad on Twitter with one exchange (can't recall the name now) it was great, PSG already have the fan token.
It is good to have Barcelona on board, am sure they will do well.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Metamask "decentra-lied" to us? on: March 05, 2022, 09:26:40 PM
What you guys are missing out is already said here. It is not metamask software that is getting centralized, it is the company that is getting centralized. This was shared a bit back up before, and you guys are still thinking it is centralized wallet, and it is not. Wallet is still by far the most decentralized thing you could use because it literally is just interface, it is not even a wallet.

Your money is in blockchain, the metamask software just allows you to see it, or send it or receive and so forth, it doesn't actually hold the money in there, it just helps you with it, even if you end up with metamask disabled, you could reach to it from another wallet very easily. So, it is the company that bans access, but the wallet is still decentralized.

Thanks for clearing that up, the op almost got me thinking what is the next decentralized wallet to switch to, your explanation was insightful, if the company is centralize and the service still remain 100% decentralize i think we shouldn't worry much, metamask have no access to personal data, all information stored directly in the blockchain.
ever since i started using mm, it has become my number on wallet (for holding my alts) and i don't have the intention of changing it anytime soon.
30  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Swiss City of Lugano to Make Bitcoin Legal Tender on: March 03, 2022, 07:31:03 PM
Taken with a pinch of salt,  but excited about the news, more publicity for btc, using it for tax or legal tender all point to one simple fact, btc recognition.  Although am struggling to fully understand how they intend to use it for tax purposes, does that mean that taxpayers will have the option to pay with btc or how it will be done?
31  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Binance is refusing to block Russian customer's crypto wallets. on: March 02, 2022, 05:57:17 AM
@op why single out only binance when coinbase and kraken also feel the same way?  Undecided
Am glad binance, coinbase and kraken didn't agree to this, can you imagine being a citizen of that country and mostly getting your income from crypto sources and you are suddenly subject to this harshness simply because of the atrocities of your president? They made the right decision, not everything should be categorized as politics, crypto is decentralized and supposed to be an alternative to fiat oppression undermining the exchange are centralized.
32  Economy / Reputation / Re: The story of how "puddinpop" got 10K BTC and disappeared. on: March 01, 2022, 02:13:29 PM
Why are you interested in the wallet? it doesn't seem as if the owner has lost his wallet since it is right there on his signature, there is no current transaction on the wallet since 2010, and the user was last active here in the forum in October 14, 2021, puddinpop, between i was expecting to see a story according to the topic heading.  Huh
My "Newbie" status does not allow me to insert pictures in this text. Open the links and you will see the story of how "puddinpop" got 10K BTC and disappeared.
He received these coins for opening the program code for bitcoin mining on video cards.
Whether this user is alive or not is the question.

It was a donation for his work! so what do you expect him to do with the donation? there was no condition attached to the donation that prevent him from accessing the coins, beside, being a newbie does not prevent you from doing a little digging, i have shared a link of his profile in my first post, if you are really eager you can use the link to get more info regarding the topic.
Let me assist your quest a bit further "I have some good news.  Because of a generous contribution by jgarzik, I am releasing the code for the CUDA client".

And remember, when that donation was made 10k btc didn't worth much so even the rest members didn't raise any issue with the donation. And why do you care if he is alive or not?

34  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: To what extent are Russians capable of storing their riches in Bitcoin? on: March 01, 2022, 09:52:54 AM
I was just brainstorming about the depth of the Russian sanctions and how deep it can affect them internally, so i was wondering if the various exchanges with branches in Russia will do the same thing as what is happening with banks and other non-Russian business? i mean like all the exchange who have their Russian version will stop trading because of the sanction!
i did a little search and i saw that there is -

Binance Russia
Kraken Russia
Bittrex Russia
OKCoin Russia
Bybit Russia
(from coinmarketcap)

Will they stop providing services to the Russian crypto market, because it they do then it will be a huge issue for those who wants to buy btc with their RUB.

For the moment major exchanges like Binance and Kraken said that they find it unfair to target every single Russian account and not let them use their platform referring to innocent civilians there. They said that they will block any wallet found connected to people which sanctions are in place against them from US and EU countries. For the moment the civilians can trade but this can change anytime now and the ones who have some Bitcoins in Russia should be very quick in trying to monetize them otherwise the suffering there has already begun because of very restrictive sanctions from US and Europe.

Man! that's tough, the question is..... does Putin really care about the sanctions and what effects it will have long term in the Russian economy or he is to egocentric to care?
I agree with binance and kraken, the citizens of Russian should not be punished for the crime of their president, he is too stubborn to listen to any sense of reason, there was no need for this war in the first place, especially fighting a country not as powerful as you in terms of arms and ammunition. it is very sad situation.
35  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ukraine is now accepting cryptocurrency donations. Bitcoin, Ethereum and USDT on: February 27, 2022, 05:21:03 PM
To erase whatever doubt people may have who are willing to help, I think the officials or some legal bodies should have publicly announced this information and made it known to everyone the official wallet that was authorized for the donation. That would have made it easier from the start but seeing that big names like CZ Binance and Justin Sun already made donations to the same wallet (from what I read above)  I guess we can conclude it is authentic.
36  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ukraine - Russia war crisis. Will Bitcoin be legalized soon? on: February 27, 2022, 05:08:43 PM
Seeing that sanctions are being applied on Russia which has seen several sectors of the economy including the banking sector being affected , if Russia supports bitcoin then chances are high that other countries will pull out of it.... At this moment most countries want to do the opposite of what Puttin and his forces are doing, to register their displeasure. But for now bitcoin has no borders hence i dont really expect much to be affected.

I don't think that will happen, pulling out of btc just because Putin decided to accept btc won't do them any good and certainly won't harm Putin in any way, why should they do it when they are in the space before Putin would ever imagine it,
The only way to deal with Putin is not to engage in any form of trade even if they decided to accept crypto, if nobody does business with him, accepting crypto won't be of such a great benefit to him and that will hurt him even more.
37  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Binance donates $10 million to support Ukraine on: February 27, 2022, 04:09:36 PM
Such a huge gesture from the CEO of one of the top exchanges, it feels relieved to see crypto is a saving grace in a time where people's hope has been dashed, my respect for crypto has grown more, those who constantly speak against this technology are not fully aware of its various capabilities. I like this humanitarian aspect of binance, I sincerely hope all the donations are channeled to the right recipients.
38  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Recent events should make everyone withdraw all their coins to their own wallets on: February 26, 2022, 10:30:05 PM
Am partially guilty of this honestly,  even though part of me knows the risk involved but it seems to be the only option I have for staking because as it is in centralized exchange you can't stake from your personal wallet, so this is why part of my funds are in the exchange.
Actually, I have thought of having everything in my wallet I hold the keys but the thought of having them idle in the wallet not generating additional funds doesn't sound good, but I will definitely find a better option in which I can from a wallet I hold the keys and not from an exchange.
39  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buy Bitcoin, You'll Thank Me Later - Mexican Billionaire Says on: February 25, 2022, 08:10:37 PM
he is absolutely right, perhaps, having the covid-19 crisis won't affect the market growth and I am supposed to think that the current conflict won't affect it as well. Coz I believe that the market is freely moving despite the war as many people living outside Russia and Ukraine are still investing and trading.

We are actually thankful for the chance given to us, the price is cheap and we shouldn't have to miss this opportunity as for this never be in this situation forever. Pumping of price can be around, so we have to make it now or regret it later. Well, of course, patience is always a key to success.

You are right,  life must go on, despite the hardship the people in Russia and Ukraine must be found through as a result of this chaos, life must go on in other parts of the world, and I will say there is no better time to buy little by little than now, btc is full of surprises and have the support of many, the market may reverse when you list expect and you will wish you had bought when the price was down.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 5 new cryptos available on Pancakeswap: Opportunities not to be missed! on: February 24, 2022, 06:30:34 PM
can you help me to provide info , what are the 5 new cryptos on pancakeswap ?
because I didn't read the 5 cryptos in the article, or did I miss it?

Maybe they are newly listed tokens on pancakeswap, op forget dex is nor like cex where you can find information on newly listed tokens,
Besides the market is generally down, it is highly unlikely that what the op says is possible, x10 in one week sounds unrealistic. Pump and dump can give good profit if you are lucky and can also cause a loss of funds.
