that's a good word from you. i also with you. most of traders of investors are greedy and didn't learn from their fail in the past. they want to become rich in one day. maybe they become greedy because they have some regret too. in example, they hold a coin, then the coin goes up 50% that day and they take the profit, but in a few hour the price is going up to 150%. they regret to sold it. the next day they hold another coin, even the price up they didn't sold it, because they want a big profit like the other day. but the opposite happened, they just keep to get some loss every day. |

There are many bad exchanges in cryptocurrency, and i remember one, it is BCNEX exchange.
It is a new exchange, but now their website is on maintenance since few months ago and not yet over.
Many user's coins are stuck there because they cannot withdraw their coin from the exchange.
My advice is never deposit too much coin on new exchange unless you know they are very trusted in crypto.
most of the new exchangers are scam. there are so many ICO and IEO projects that created exchangers projects, but most of them were abandoned or failed. i suggest you to keep using the big exchangers that have a good trust by trader or investors, because there are some exchangers that using trading bot and fake volume to interest some traders and investors. |

Do you trust newbies that starts projects?
There are two types of newbies that starts projects.
1. Newbie with "Copper member" tag.
2. Newbie without "Copper member" tag.
When a newbie without "Copper member" tag manage a project then that project is much more likely to be a scam. So I personally don't. participate in that project.
When a newbie with "Copper member" tag manage a project then that project can be trusted somewhat. And you can participate in some such projects after making your own research about it.
did you really trust the projects that using cooper member tag ? newbies is still a newbie. they just created their account some time ago to promote their projects in bitcointalk. they can be a scammer that paid for the cooper member tag. they just cost a little money for doing that and then get a big money for robbing investors money. |

Airdrops have been useless for years. The big time of the Airdrops was 2016 to 2018. Today's Airdrops are only there to get some attention. Accordingly, the values are low. There are only a very few good airdrops like Uniswap where everyone recently got almost $2000 for free. The Airdrop was not announced but distributed to those who had recently traded on the decentralized stock exchange.
I didn't know about Uniswap. That is an amazing value for an airdrop. But I disagree that airdrops are useless. They are mostly useless for bounty hunters, but they are very useful for those companies. Airdrops are mostly used to inflate companies database with customers. They will just collect all your data and give a worthless token in return. Then they will sell that data or just inflate their numbers with customers and investors. I never take part in any airdrop. unless if it is very easy to do and kyc-free and paying with some instant tradeable token. yeah, they just want to boosting their social media with a cheap prices, even for free (for giving worthless tokens). there are some airdrops that require us to submit KYC too. they give us the reason that the KYC is to avoid some cheater in the airdrops. but i think KYC is not the only the solutions. submitting KYC in airdrops is too dangerous. i can say that Uniswap airdrop is the best airdrop for this year. they didn't require you to submit the KYC, but it gives you a big money for free. now, so many airdrop plagiarize the uniswap airdrop methods, but they become a worthless and scam tokens in the end. |

Defi hype is still not over as we can observe in social media a lot of projects still promoting to attract investors. This is to warn other people not to invest quick and better yet invest with real products that offer profit. A lot of people get scam these days because of not having diligence first before investing.

i am a gamer too, but i think i won't investing my money in a gaming project, especially for a new game development. it maybe abandoned like other gaming projects in the past.
i think it would be good if the projects create their token, make a partnership with some famous muliplayer PC or Mobile games, then build a 3rd party app for that games. so, they can use their token for some competition/tournaments.

An absolutely correct post. If projects at the bounty stage finally begin to pay for the services of bounty participants in US dollars or some stablecoins, then this will certainly contribute to an increase in the price of the project's tokens after they appear on the exchanges.

perticipate social media campaigns and compelecting those task is quite easy for hunters even for a newbie.no extra skill is required for done that task.that's why, more than half thousands of hunters join social media campaign where most of perticipator are newbie.so it's a good idea to join singature especially article campaign and youtube campaign for earn high reward. but for finish those task, need to be skillful and that's absent in most of newbie hunters.
currently, you can see that the bounty pool is divided equally. they know that social media campaign has the most participants. so most of bounties make a biggest reward allocation for social media campaign. there are a lot of participants too in article campaign. for now, i think that contents creation (video) has a big reward for now, because it's more difficult and troublesome for participants than the other campaigns so there are not so many participants will join it. |

I'm feeling sad for you op but hope you have learned a lots of things from this incedent. You shouldn't follow anyone blindly even if he/sge is your friend. You shouldn't choice any altcoin like switch when so many good currency are available in market.but switch is not a bad token at all.you can increase your capital by trading, if you can. so be patient and don't lost your hope
the op has a good amount of ETH. but why he should invest in the other projects when he has 14 ethereum ? you should just hold your ETH, don't invest in other altcoin projects that don't have any trust yet from people. i hold some ETH too, i never fall to FOMO and i also never look for other projects news. i just focus on ETH information updates. |

This thought just comes to my mind especially these days, with a lot of altcoins doing airdrops or giving away different altcoins.
But I got some confusion here when the "airdrop" term used.
Because for what I believe the meaning of "airdrop" is a way of giving a free coin/s to some wallet addresses without seeking any investment or doing nothing.
Are those spreading all over around especially in this forum known to be an "airdrop" is considered an airdrop or bounty campaign since some of those are requiring people to fill up some of the forms or need to sign up or follow some social media accounts, etc?
Since you did some task or work to get those coins.
yes, i have some thought like you in the past. but now i know that airdrop need a little effort. they usually ask you to follow / retweet their social media or follow their telegram, but you just do it once. not like bounties that require you to do it 3 times every week. just like a video games, when there is an "airdrops", you need a little effort, you must run to chase it and fight with other player to get it. |

POA is very important but few bounty managers are still stupid enough not to implement it on their bounty campaigns, they are the ones complaining about cheaters joining campaigns with many stolen identities/Profiles, POA makes things lot easier and smooth for any bounty campaigns
yes, POA makes thing easier for any bounty campaign but it also makes bounty manager work harder. they must double or triple check it everything in every week. so i think they're not stupid but they just tired. but it is their responsibility, because they were paid. maybe that is one of the reason why there are still so many bounty that didn't use POA. |

The word "hold" will make you multi millionaire one day. Why taking profits like 1 thousand dollar if your coins or token will be worth million dollar in the future. Bitcoin is the best example why the word "hold" is very important. If those seller of bitcoin, giving the chance to go back in the past im sure they will hold their bitcoin. Remember 'Hold' sound like 'Gold', and 'profit' sounds like 'regret'.
"Hold" is good for some good coins with a good projects or some old coins that have some trust by people. i don't think that some new coins / tokens from ICO and IEO will good for us to hold. you can see it in some current or just finished project, most of them are lack of investors, then the price fall really hard and become another shitcoin. |

Investing to the ICO is not good anymore , It's better for me to play to the gambling instead of investing to the ICO just a real talk because playing gambling will possible to return your money with profit a short period of time. Choosing project depends to your taste if it's good or not depends on how you review it so I suggest to follow also the professional investors so you can know what altcoins is good in investing of your money.
you know what ? that is what i'm doing right now. i agree with your statement. also, investing in ico will not guarantee us with a successful project in the end. our profit is still not clear from investing in ICO. maybe all we get is a full loss if the project become a scam one in the end. i don't suggest to joining some ICO with the hype projects/ideas. because scammer will run the same projects and scamming all the investors. i also agree, if you want to invest just follow some experts or people who experienced investors, because i believe they will know the characteristic a good ico and the legit one. |

Bounty cheaters are smart and will probably avoid the campaign if it requires KYC. KYC might help but will not really solve the problem. The only solution I guess is for the bounty manager to be more thorough in the spreadsheet.
KYC is really not a solution. not only for bounty cheaters, most of the honest bounty participants will also avoid the bounties that require KYC. we don't know that the project will end with legit or scam ones. it's really risky. the only solutions is the bounty managers must work harder to check it. creating some ideas or another way for participant POA. also, bounty managers must not enter all participant data in the spreadsheets. make a duplicate spreadsheets. one of them just show participants name or payment address only and it's open for public. and another one is for managers only for checking the participants data. |

I think it is high time to call your friends or neighbourhoods call into crypto. I convinced some of my friends to invest into crypto by telling them advantages of using or holding crypto.Cryptocurrency is so important and it is not going away as crypto is the future currency.
not only tell them about the adavantages of holding crypto, we must tell them all of the risk in crypto investment too. don't let all newbies get a big loss and they feel that they were tricked by us who call them into crypto investment. |
