Bitcoin has changed my life.  It has changed the way I handle my finances.
23  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Just some reassurance for Bitcoin Investors on: September 03, 2016, 11:20:15 PM
What that "guy" is doing is none of your business and same goes to the guy who stole your sister's 1000$ assuming that they aren't the same person. You didn't lose anything, your sister didn't lose anything as well. Only the bank did lose something. Well, there are other crimes out there that are more clever than what you said and we don't even know that it exists.

Also, you can't just claim that the fiat system is a lie just because of what happened. I could only think of a worse reaction from you if your sister didn't get her money back.
It wasn't my fault this guy decided to tell me his life story, so I was minding my own business.  Personally I don't think you understand the point of this post. I am not complaining in anyway I am only stating facts and an occurrence that happen within my life that I thought had relevance with Bitcoin.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why isn't there an Altcoin capable of overtaking Bitcoin ? on: September 03, 2016, 05:55:59 AM
I can see it happening.  The blockchain is getting longer and longer. That, Coupled with the ability to trace bitcoin transactions, and its vulnerability to 51% attacks.

Bitcoin was a revolutionary piece of technology.  It will reign for years.  But an altcoin reaching parity, and eventually taking over, is not a far fetched idea.

The majority of People loosing bitcoin has lost it to gambling.  Seems like gambling and bitcoin go hand and hand.
26  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what happens to Bitcoin if internet goes down? on: September 03, 2016, 04:26:09 AM
If something catastrophic would happen that resulted in the entire internet going down, Im sure my bitcoin will be the last of my worries.
27  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is unpredictable job. on: September 03, 2016, 04:07:32 AM
The biggest thing for me is to never trade on emotions.  If you made a conscience decision on a trade, you must follow through with it.  Sometimes, it really does pay to be patient.
28  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to motivate women to use Bitcoin? on: September 03, 2016, 04:05:33 AM
This post is a very valid point. I feel like the way to motivate women to use Bitcoin is to develop an easy method for them to invest into bitcoin without the fear of having to manage it.
29  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is 1000 btc Possible on: September 03, 2016, 04:01:12 AM
Anything you put your mind to is possible. If you just keep working at it learning the market and how it works, you could easily make a living from trading.

I have lost and been scammed for Bitcoin. When i was scammed i bought a product that was never shipped to me.  I also lost some Bitcoin due to my own personal mistakes, but that is how you learn.

Fiat works for day-to-day transactions, but I'm not arguing that the system isn't broken.  It's very broken.  When you get fiat--and this is my opinion--you need to spend it, and not save it.  Especially with interest rates at 0%.  I don't keep any money in my checking account over what I need to live.  All my fiat I use to buy things with, including stocks which pay good dividends.  And bitcoin of course.  And some precious metals here and there.  Fiat ain't for keeping, it's for spending.
100% agreed.  Personally I have stopped keeping my savings in the bank other than spending/living money.  All my savings is in Bitcoin, developing altcoins, and businesses that revolve around the idea of bitcoin.

33  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bank or Bitcoin Wallet? on: September 03, 2016, 01:59:43 AM
I keep all my money in Bitcoin I personally do not believe in the future of FIAT currencies.  With banks bailing out around the world i would prefer to keep my money in BTC.
34  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your biggest problem with Bitcoin on: September 03, 2016, 01:31:02 AM
My biggest problem with Bitcoin is the transaction times between sites.  Sometime it worries me only because of how long it takes to transfer.
35  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: actual number of people using Bitcoin? on: September 03, 2016, 12:28:46 AM
That is a statistic that I do not believe can be calculated with the way that bitcoin operates.  As i read in this thread I can only come up with the conclusion that the actual number of people using bitcoin is only increasing due to the rise in price.
36  Other / Archival / Re: Do you use bitcoin as currency or investment? on: September 03, 2016, 12:03:17 AM
As a believer of Bitcoin and currencies you should be at least try to use it as both
37  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is this the end of Bitcoin Encryption? on: September 02, 2016, 11:55:11 PM
Quantum Computing could help us make something even better than Bitcoin.  At least for all of us who stay informed.  I am confident we would be able to ride that wave to success, whatever quantum computing brings us.
38  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Just some reassurance for Bitcoin Investors on: September 02, 2016, 11:38:07 PM
For all my fellow Bitcoin investors I just wanted to share to you all about something that stood out to me today.  I currently work at T-Mobile and we deal with other peoples credit all the time.  I would say at least 80% of time, in my area, we get the worst of the worst credit classes. Today I had a customer tell me his entire life story about his failing business and how hes in hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt.  This guy's method of staying on his feet is by bouncing 10k checks , withdrawing the money, then piling more debt on top of what he already owes....  All in the same day my sisters debit card information gets stolen and $1000 dollars gets withdrawn from the account in some casino.  The Bank proceeds to pay us back but the thief just ran away with $1000 and no penalty. Cases similar to these happen every day and on even larger scales. The moral of this all is that the system is broken.  This belief that our money is safe in FIAT currencies is all a lie.  Do not lose faith in Bitcoin and the decentralized network, it is a currency run by the people and for the people.  Keep your heads up and invest wisely!
39  Other / Off-topic / Re: What can i do with 3 Bitcoin? on: August 31, 2016, 10:15:41 PM
You can always day trade your bitcoin using other cryptocurrencies.  I always found it fun to watch your money grow over time. Playing the market is almost like playing a video game, but instead of your highschore going up, its your money!

Whats not to love!
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Facebook About to Get ‘Myspaced’ by Next-Gen Social Media? on: August 31, 2016, 10:13:59 PM
Facebook still has its place for the older generation.

All my family members still love to use it to keep in touch with each other. I see Facebook surviving for a long time.
