This needs to stop... These "DDOS" attacks are just killing BTC. When the price routinely drives down, people will start to cut their losses and move on.

24  Economy / Speculation / Bitinstant -- influencing the market.. on: April 17, 2013, 01:54:12 AM
Yesterday I deposited 200$ into bitinstant in exchange for an Mygox coupon and still haven't heard from bitinstant.. Today to I tested with another 20$ and no response even with a different transaction type. I wanted to hop on the market while it was low..  Today it has rose.

After thinking about it I have kinda came to the conclusion that bitinstant may possibly be creating a higher demand by limiting transactions and thus increasing the buy price.

I feel like I'm getting screwed by them.. I could amount to a loss before the possibility of a buy

I tried to fund my mtgox account to buy some while they are low and it is still stuck in no-where land. Its quite disappointing watching the market rise when I know i could have had a stake in it.

Ya, I'd be okay just losing my $200 compared to your 5000

These rules need to be better displayed. When I first signed up I was reluctand to find that I couldn't post a response to a support thread in which I had the same issue. It wasn't until just recently that I was able to lo ate the rules on permissions. I initially assumed that I couldn't reply due to a permissions error.
33  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Call the btc price at the Mt Gox re-open here! on: April 12, 2013, 04:30:22 AM
I'm hoping it stays around 100$ - $120 for a while. Two reasons, it will give new people the chance to invest at a safe point without potential of a huge loss. I plan to invest $3k next Tuesday.. I try to spread my investments out for sanity sake.. It allows me to better monitor the market.

The other is stability.. What goes up must come down, and in order for btc to beconsidered reputable by accepted means, the market needs not to be so violent like it has been the last few days.. It chases newcomers away and gives btc a stigma   I'm not on the bubble crash trend, I strongly believe that btc has the momentum to survive without heavy media coverage. It did over 3 years
