21  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] [EU] S5/S7/A6/Spondoolies w PSU on: April 02, 2017, 11:28:47 AM
Hi

So I got a friend with free electricity so we're looking for 5kw of hardware to max out his meter, shipping would be to France zip 01000.

Please list your offers below, the miners have to come with PSU and be relatively neat (they migh have to be moved in emergency)

The must would be rackable SP units with PSU included but open to offers.
Hey mate,

I'm selling my SP30, hashing reliably at 4 THash/s. It comes with two built-in PSU's and I'm throwing two power cables with EU plugs into the deal. I want €300 for it which includes shipment costs. I'll be shipping it with DHL from Sweden. Interested?

Hello everyone,

Is the group buy project still happening? If so, I'm in for one quad. I'm based in the EU (Sweden).

…and I have a wreck of a Spondoolies SP31 (bad eBay purchase that I fixed as best I could, when I got it it didn't work at all.) I get 3TH/s from that. I'm just below 16TH/s. I manage to stay above cost of electricity by selling coins or contracts on eBay (where I can usually get twice market value for the convenience factor.) I also have a ZEUS Thunder X6 which gives me 22MH/s Scrypt, but honestly, that is a crap paying algo.

Hello, if you don't mind me asking: what did you pay for the SP31 and when was it?

Bought a few months ago for around $350.

Thank you. I bought mine in mid-October last year for the same price. Just wanted to make I didn't overpay for mine.  Grin

3kw damn !

I'll take it for 0.2+shipping to France, it's low but with my kwh price I can't really offer more.

Cheers,
Q.

2.2 kW at maximum. Sorry, the price is non-negotiable for me. Currently it's 0.35 BTC. Maybe I'll be offering it for 0.2 BTC (+ 0.05 BTC for shipping within the EU) in two months from now, if I haven't sold the miner by then. Smiley

Price for shipping to sweden?

Hey man, if you're in Sweden, I can sell you my SP30 (4 THash/sec) for 0.35 BTC, shipping cost included. Or for 0.3 BTC, if you want to come to Gävle and pick it up in person.

Hello all,

I'm selling the above hardware miner with an average hashrate 4 Thash/s. You don't need an external PSU for this model, as it has two built-in ones. I'm throwing two standard power cords (with EU power plugs) into the deal, so you can start mining as soon as you unpack. I'm shipping the miner anywhere in the EU or Norway/Iceland/Switzerland, with DHL. The shipping costs are included in the price I want for this beautiful piece of hardware, namely 0.35 BTC.

Reply in this thread or PM me, if you're interested (and if you reside in the EU or one of the three above-mentioned countries).

28  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Alternatives to paying for electricy (natural gas, propane, gasoline...?) on: November 04, 2016, 07:37:14 PM
I know here in Ontario, Canada people are having huge issues with the price of electricity. If you heat with electricity you can expect anything from $350-900+ just for one month.

Why wouldn't you direct the exhaust heat from your mining operations towards warming up your house then? It would reduce your heating costs (if you are heating with electricity anyway) and thus make your mining operations more profitable. Since I had started mining bitcoin in my apartment, I put my electric space heater to storage. AND I keep my window open – amidst the Swedish winter, mind you.

Good luck!

Hi,

I'm a beginner miner too, and here's my experiences with mining at home so far: https://steemit.com/mining/@oleg326756/mining-cryptocurrencies

I'll be happy to write more updates and follow-ups, as my mining efforts progress. Smiley

So, my miner arrived earlier today and here are my first impressions and experiences with it: https://steemit.com/mining/@oleg326756/my-new-miner-has-arrived-first-impressions

I agree with the previous posts. At the current price ($1400) and with no PSU included I'm not even going to consider it. IMO $1,000 would be the maximum reasonable price for this miner at the time of launch. Oh, and they should've designed the PSU to be able to power two of these miners. What a flop!
