Heres hoping that the 'worst' happens, and all batches arrive together, unannounced, tomorrow!

Thanks Steamboat.

Just curious as to your reasons.

Do you have an eta?

Shipping to Australia?
25  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Liquid Synergy Designs Inc. -ASIC mining hardware on: August 10, 2013, 11:45:17 AM
I wouldn't mind an offer such as

"Due to the delays in shipping our product as promised, we will compensate our chip customers with the following offer.

For every GH that was purchased, we will supply __ X GH, as compensation for lost mining time and fabrication costs.

We will also offer an additional 20% off additional chips/units as an offer of goodwill, and an apology for past inconveniences."

Thank You.

I run a small business, and have some small amount of experience with shipping from China.

There is no way I would have shipped large amounts of chips in one shipment. It is too much of a risk.

Shipments should have been separated over several smaller shipments, over multiple days. He probably also should have used different delivery companies, and different packaging.

This would have resulted in at least some chips getting through.

I regard one large shipment getting stuck in customs, as bad management, and thus the fault of the business. I think a partial to full refund is in order, and priority for the 2nd Gen chips when released.

All this is a pipe dream though.

Thanks for posting your relevant experience.

One small request - please avoid qualifying your view of a fair outcome as "a pipe dream" or similar impossibility.
Perception shapes reality.  Smiley

Agreed.

We all should liaise with Steamboat at some time, about making a formal request for refund/priority in 2nd Gen etc, at some time in the future.

As to when this should be done will require some thought, but should probably be after the saga has reached a conclusion, and we are in possession of more facts.

If everything is handled properly, and the correct negotiations undertaken, there is no reason that can't end up being a win win for all parties involved.

OR they are all in the van, on the way to Steamboats facility.

Remember -

SB is on the case.

We have invested $500,000 est (in Chips) along with a lot extra for fabrication, with SB being in for a hefty amount personally.

SB would be in contact with Avalon, and arguing our case.

And we are in line, and will be delivered our merchandise in a timely fashion, that is fair and equitable to all stakeholders. (And remember there are numerous groups involved).

I know that I'm nervous, but there are a lot of smarter people that have more time and money in this project than me. It's in their interest to get our miners up and running ASAP, and thats what they are trying to do.

Are they also waiting until all of the batch 3 avalons ship, to be fair to their own customers.

Annoying but understandable.

Hey Charles,

I have received updates from KnC about future product releases after the first batch of miners.

I would like to ask (if you are interested) if you could ensure that you keep up to date with interest/registration/preorders etc so that we might continue your projects/hosting services into the future as new products come out, and investors rollover their earnings from the current projects into newer projects.

Thanks

Adam

I'm all for it too but as investors we should wait to see our first payment before giving more money.

Totally agree.

By the wording of the update, the new products sounded like they would well after release of the initial products.

I don't think anyone would pre pay for a 2nd gen product when the first gen hasn't even been shipped.

Your suggestion is good,

Bit cents is so close to dollars and cents, that it doesn't take much to figure out.

Prob the next step down would be 1/100th smaller.

Cent of bitcent?

Well done

40nm sounds cool.

Is this the smallest possible at this point in time??
39  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Bitfury ASIC sales in EU and Europe on: July 05, 2013, 07:57:28 AM
HI,

I'm in australia. No delivery here?

Seeing that shipping is only to the EU, can my agent in London have the stuff delivered there?

Or for a large order, I could come over to pickup the products?

All help is appreciated.

Thanks

Adam

All that being said, there is nothing wrong with making a profit for providing a valuable service.

By diversifying the mining activities, and expanding the user base, and providing a more secure network, we are all providing a good service. It would be a shame if we do not make a profit.
