I can't sleep knowing that Bitcoins could be used to buy mixed fabrics contrary to Deuteronomy 22:11 "Thou shalt not wear a garment of divers sorts, as of woollen and linen together."

Some people have some nerve.

Any news re Sepa withdrawls, it's the reason I have to keep using Gox.
Also, have you looked into uKash for deposits? Might be worth a look, easy to obtain them here in EU and elsewhere.

Hi Rdonohoe,

We are very close on SEPA - sit tight!

I also just got a lovely email this morning confirming we will be in Israeli Shekels very soon.

uKash - funny you should bring that up - we just looked at them closely and think we may try them. You like the service? Any drawbacks? How is the speed?

Thanks again and feel free to reach out at anytime, with comments, questions, feedback, anything!

Regards,
Adam - Tradehill

That's great news! Look forward to using TH.

I've used uKash before. Simple, just go to a store hand them cash get a code then enter it online and it works straight away.
Just need to consider what the merchant fees are and if it's still viable if these are passed on to the consumer.

Hope to hear more about this soon.

I'd gladly add some BTC to an escrow or pay straight up for this service.

Hope to see it soon.

Hey TH,

Any news on EU bank transfers? Fees from the US to EU are quite high.

Hi,

I was in contact with Tradehill re EUR bank transfers and they were very responsive. I would like to renew my request that this be implemented soon. I am offer my help in helping you become familiar with European banking systems.

I know that now you have become very busy but I, and I am sure other too, look forward to being able to trade in EUR and withdraw to our Bank accounts with less charges than the current international transfers that you charge albeit imposed on you by your bank.

28  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gmail unusual activity on: June 19, 2011, 10:18:05 PM
Hi guys,

The reason your Google accounts have been required to change the password is that you appeared in a list of public MtGox accounts. We do understand that you may not have been sharing your passwords, unfortunately as they were leaked in hashed form it is hard to know which ones will be found to be sharing passwords and which won't - this will be found out by brute forcers over the next 24-48 hours.

Again, apologies for the inconvenience, we know that choosing new passwords is a pain. Requiring password rotations is not a decision we take lightly. However this is standard procedure for credentials leaks. It is to avoid accounts showing up in the black market for hacked passwords, as Gmail account access can be used to obtain access at other sites (PayPal, Facebook, etc).

thanks,

Mike

Thank you Google for your diligence.

No it's not an email the gmail logs out and you get a seperate page then they have to text you and verify you. Pitty Mt wasn't this good

I'd say it people trying the passwords from the CSV and not being successful but it still looks suspicious to Gmail.

I am looking forward to TH supporting deposit and withdrawals in EUR.
Account funding via paysafe cards or uKash might be one way to speed up times but might be a little expensive.

Does anyone understand why, in the 21st C bank transfers take so long?

35  Other / Obsolete (buying) / Hosting Recommendations on: June 02, 2011, 11:23:38 AM
Hi,

I am looking for a privacy conscious hosting service that can provide reliable service for a small site.
Our current host is very slow and while we do not want to spend a lot of money we are willing to pay for a good service.

We need php/mySQL on a linux box, SSL and domain registration.
We also aren't that tech savy so a control panel would be great.

Anyone got any good recommendations?

Thanks,

R
36  Bitcoin / Project Development / JSON for MtGox and Bitcoin Charts on: May 11, 2011, 09:00:02 AM
Hey,

I have used JSON for bitcoind and worked great.

I was looking for some guides or information on using JSON for getting and using information from MtGox and BitcoinCharts; anyone help me with this?
37  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Newbie help with RPC and PHP on: April 12, 2011, 05:48:54 PM
Hi,

I am a new user and very interested in Bitcoin. I have been playing around with the RPC with PHP and I am getting a problem:

Code:
<?php

require_once 'jsonRPCClient.php';

$bitcoin = new jsonRPCClient('http://user:pass@127.0.0.1:8332/');

$balance $bitcoin->getbalance();
  echo
$balance '</br>';

$send $bitcoin->sendtoaddress("1FmxuVaSpyGk732TbKroFE4ouSebpiz3nb 0.01");

  echo
$send '</br>';

$balance $bitcoin->getbalance();
  echo
$balance '</br>';

My problem is that nothing seems to happen after the first balance is echoed. The 0.01 is not sent and the 2nd balance echo is not done.

Any help would be great.
