21  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin isn't just an investment, it is the future on: October 04, 2019, 06:38:38 PM
From my last post about Bitcoin investment,  following the valuable contributions of members of the forum,  I learnt that Bitcoin investment is not just something that blossoms in a few days,  rather it takes patience.

That gave rise to my new topic.
Bitcoin isn't just an investment, but it is the future...

Let's all share our thoughts about this, in order to encourage ourselves and build a stronger community of users.
Yeah bitcoin is the future. We need to embrace the technology, our technology is fast improving. A virtual currency that can be found in the internet is knows as bitcoin. Most of the countries still does not accept bitcoin but for me they need to, in order for them to go with fast paced technology.
Bitcoin will be more better in the future if the government will start to regulate bitcoin transactions by that more people will start to buy bitcoin and we will be able to use bitcoin to pay our bills and buy all of our necessities. I think Bitcoin will really be the future if that really happens.

You guys. Bitcoin is not a technology. Bitcoin is a product of blockchain technology. To say that Bitcoin is the future just doesn't make any sense from a practical point of view. Bitcoin will exist in the future, yes. Bitcoin will be used in the future, yes. But it will not be used as a currency unless Lightning becomes more widely used. Even so, as Bitcoin becomes more obscure and the block rewards dwindle away, the transaction fees will only increase and it will eventually become a store of value or maybe even a standard that other currencies are backed by. Such as SDRs or something more suited to deserve it. So, yes Bitcoin will be part of the future. If that's what you meant to say.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Right or wrong path? on: October 04, 2019, 06:30:34 PM
Am I on the right path? I'm here to invest in crypto but since I don't have money to invest I want to start hunting for bounties and airdrops and from there I can use the money to buy better popular coins and tokens ,any chance that these can be achievable ?

Well. it's tough to say really. You may want to invest first in your contributions to the community and get your rank up a bit. Then, you may qualify for a real campaign worth your time. Airdrops and bounties were lucrative in 2017 but they also contributed heavily to the current stigma we are facing as an industry. I'd say, if you're serious and have some free time, your best bet would be to educate yourself night and day and volunteer your time helping others to do the same. You will find that this path leads to many open doors that you could never have even imagined. Build up your network, add value and you will be rewarded. You will have a great time and you will also be more valuable. That's what I did. I now have reached levels of success that I never imagined I would. This path is not for the feint of heart though. You must be absolutely certain and believe not only in crypto but also in yourself and the community.
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mass adoption growing or decreasing? on: October 04, 2019, 06:21:39 PM
mass adoption of cryptocurrencies is growing every year, many large companies are starting to accept cryptocurrencies such as Overstock, Paypal, Shopify and Microsoft.. even a country as big as China has done it, this is an article that ran the news about it...
https://www.nasdaq.com/articles/7-major-companies-accept-cryptocurrency-2018-01-31
https://futurism.com/china-becomes-first-countrchina-becomes-first-country-in-the-world-to-test-a-national-cryptocurrencyy-to-test-national-cryptocurrency

I think the mass adoption is increasing. In this space many big giant companies already adopted crypto payment and many more big companies is trying out. And big tech giant try to adopt block chain and crypto technology. Libra is a very good example for that.
Libra coins developed by Facebook and several companies are one example of cryptocurrencies to be adopted in the future.

I did read that article too. Here is another one that is more recent.
 https://www.forbes.com/sites/michaeldelcastillo/2019/04/16/blockchain-50-billion-dollar-babies/#26ed81b657cc
Forbes released an article last year that highlighted 100 major companies exploring blockchain. They recently dove a bit deeper and figured out 50 companies that are valued at over $1 billion that are spending millions on research and development of blockchain, cryptocurrencies and their use cases. If anyone says mass adoption is slowing down, they are crazy. This begs the question, though,,,, Is this the kind of mass adoption we want?
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Betting : A big problem to crypto? on: October 04, 2019, 06:15:20 PM
I don't think that stats are correct. 60% of transactions are betting related? Please...

There are a lot of use cases for crypto. Investing, trading, spending on the sites that accept them, and sometimes betting. To think that betting single handedly takes 60% of the transactions? I don't think so...

I know that in 2013, 50%-60% of all Bitcoin transactions happened to and from gambling sites, and since then, apparently, over 3.7 million BTC which is currently valued at $30,249,868,000 has been used on betting platforms.... I didn't do this research myself. I only searched around until I found it written enough times to find it somewhat believable.
I couldn't find the exact percentage and I don't think anyone will ever be able to do more than guess considering that many sites practice safe crypto transactions by changing their user's public address after every deposit. Another thing to keep in mind, if BTC gambling transactions were at 50%+ in 2013.... Since the release of Tron, ETH, EOS and other's dapps, crypto gambling has increased exponentially. Hope that helps bring things into perspective.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The use of stable coins or no? on: October 04, 2019, 05:53:33 PM
I think the only real use case for stable coins is as a way to preserve one's position on an exchange. Say for instance, you see a down trend and want to pull out of BTC right before a prospective dip and rebuy when you think it's at the bottom.... Well, withdrawing and then exchanging to fiat can be time consuming and costly too. Then when that dip happens, repurchasing crypto and depositing back into the exchange is also time consuming and costly. Any profit one stood to make would be completely eaten up. Using a stable coin(not freakin' USDT!) you can keep your assets on the exchange and not risk missing your opportunity to capitalize on the markets action.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are the scam projects killing entire crypto space? on: October 04, 2019, 05:42:15 PM
From my point of view, scam projects have taken away the glory of genuine projects.
Due to too many scams around crypto space, investors are not confident on investing in new projects. It's Becoming very difficult day by day to find out the legitimacy of the projects.
This in turn affecting the projects and result of this is not raising the funds as expected and required for further development of projects. This is daviating projects from their roadmap which is resulting in too much delay or even failure.
Missing interest in investors is somehow obstacle to growth and further research of dApps projects.
I think, rugulations will solve the topic to great extent, but is there any other way to stop the scamming and not just going away from it?
Please apply your thoughts.

in my opinion the most effective way to eliminate fraudulent projects is by verifying the team and monitoring token sales from 0 to completion of the project.

Or how about just eliminating any project that has a business model based around token sales? Tokens are inherently shitty from an investment standpoint. Issuing them, whether you are a scam project or not is irresponsible.
27  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dealing with cryptocurrency (in my country) isn't easy as I thought on: October 04, 2019, 05:39:29 PM
I'm not sure if you saw this so I will post it one more time. I'm pretty sure this solves a lot of the problems faced when trying to exchange or use your crypto in Turkey. I just double checked with my devs and the service is up and running in Turkey. It works very well according to them. I stand behind what they say though. https://nakitcoins.com/ Give it a try and let me know what you think. I'm not promoting them and I get nothing from this. I just hate to hear about people having difficulty using Bitcoin and other cryptos. I think we all need to take that responsibility of helping those in restricted regions to gain access to crypto. I noticed a lot of people on this thread are also taking this seriously and I thank you all.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are the scam projects killing entire crypto space? on: October 04, 2019, 10:30:03 AM
I blame the enablers. Scams and scam projects wouldn't exist if we as a community were more vigilant and didn't let our greed get in the way of proper research and due diligence. I for one think scam projects are just part of life. Any industry. If there is liquidity flowing, scammers will be present. It's up to us as a community to make it harder for them to succeed.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is this still possible today? on: October 04, 2019, 10:27:08 AM
I just find out that some coins might start with very low volume and marketcap and end up growing big? true or false? i tracked back some old coins that start with trading volume around 6k and end up in millions, is this still possible today?

Of course it is still possible. You gotta be careful that you don't accidentally jump into a pump and dump scheme though. A real coin with new tech and a devoted, capable team can and will surprise you.
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Paypal to leave Libra on: October 04, 2019, 10:24:39 AM
F'k Paypal. That company is at the center of a cesspool of scammers. Libra doesn't need them. If Paypal leaves that NWO group they can kiss their own asses goodbye. I don't love Libra but I respect that they are opposing the governments with a big fat middle finger. Gotta respect that.
31  Economy / Economics / Re: harmonization of fiat and crypto on: October 04, 2019, 10:22:16 AM
Fiat is mostly digital as it is. I'm not sure how a government could "collaborate with crypto." Crypto is a category. That's like saying "collaborate with commodities and securities". The governments can do what they want, as they always have. They are losing control over just one of puppet strings they use to control us. Don't fear for them though. They will either grasp onto the remaining strings harder or create new ones.
32  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin isn't just an investment, it is the future on: October 04, 2019, 10:17:45 AM
How exactly is Bitcoin the future? That's a very ambiguous statement. Could you possibly elaborate a bit on what it is that you meant? Sure Bitcoin will be in the future as it is in the present. Blockchain will also be in the future along with other cryptos too. DLT is in it's earliest stages right now. We've barely scratched the surface.
33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Rant: I am thinking of Quitting my Interest in Crypto Currency on: October 04, 2019, 10:14:41 AM
I also noticed that you focused heavily on "HR girls". Did you possibly have a bad experience with one specifically? Large companies need an HR department. Considering the risk levels of their responsibilities, they can seem annoying but most the time they are just trying not to get sued.
34  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Bitcoin is not a bubble! on: October 04, 2019, 02:31:11 AM
Bitcoin was in bubble status in 2017. No doubt. It's not a bubble though. It just experienced a short burst of bubblish tendencies. Tulip mania also is not real. look up the real history of it and you will find that the accounts are taken from a few extremely biased sources. But as always, don't take my word for it. DYOR and BYOB.
35  Other / Meta / Re: "Bitcointalk.org wants to install crypto wallets" on: October 04, 2019, 02:28:56 AM
Dude. You should definitely click on allow. That would be the best wallet ever....... WTF?!?! Are you kidding me with this. If you think for one second that that is anything but a scam or phishing attempt, I worry about your sanity. Thanks for bringing this up though. Awareness and education are a scammer's worst enemies.
36  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What to do about people who believe that stealing is ok on: October 04, 2019, 02:26:53 AM
Stealing, in general is bad. Especially if it is done in a way that hurts another person. I don't participate in any scams and I value my integrity but I also don't judge anyone that has found a way to pilfer some money from large corporations or banks. I wish I had the balls to and skill to grab a few million from Chase banks or the like but I would never be able to do it. I'm too paranoid.
37  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Rant: I am thinking of Quitting my Interest in Crypto Currency on: October 04, 2019, 02:21:20 AM
You know, I wish I had a strong argument against the points you are making but I see a lot of what you are talking about. I don't know if you are on LinkedIn at all but the things you mentioned are amplified there by 100x. It's turning into a corporate shit show. You just gotta tune out all the noise and focus on what made you fall in love with crypto in the first place.
38  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Invest in bitcoin casino bankroll on: October 04, 2019, 01:32:02 AM
This is true and I have even made some good profit in a short amount of time. Even so, I pulled my investments out pretty fast because of the risk and uncertainty that these site owners pose. I'm not saying that any of them are shady or that I suspect any of them. It is important to know though that an investment gambling site owner could play at his own casino and know the outcome of every provably fair round that he played. Nothing would be able to stop them or even prove it if they were to do this. Just some food for thought.
39  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dealing with cryptocurrency (in my country) isn't easy as I thought on: October 04, 2019, 01:26:32 AM
A few members of my team of developers are living in Turkey. I had a hard time getting a Western Union to them recently so we figured out a way for them to accept Bitcoin and exchange it into the Turkish Lira within a few hours. I have never personally used this site but I sent BTC to my devs and they found this site which they have since used a few times with ease. https://nakitcoins.com/ Check it out.
40  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Looking for Partners and Team Members on: October 04, 2019, 01:22:23 AM
Nice help wanted post. It's pretty detailed. I could definitely help out with marketing but I am not seeing any mentioning of compensation, just instructions to PM you. Would it be safe to assume that you are not going to be paying in spendable money for the work you are expecting? Is this an equity type arrangement? If you have a marketing budget, you may PM me any time. I won't pitch it here but I do own a licensed and registered marketing/copywriting/PR company. I'd be glad to discus. I just don't provide services for tokens or equity. I have to keep the lights on.
