25  Economy / Gambling / Re: hcoinlotto.com - 0.050 BTC Bonus on registration - 6/49 Lottery game on: February 28, 2017, 08:05:26 PM
I have registered a new account on your website and received 50 H coins for free but i do not see any where on your website to play the lottery by choosing numbers, i will suggest that you make the short tutorial on the main thread here because even the (how to play) on your website does not explain anything but only repeated that we should choose numbers but where and how ?

There is no need to make a tutorial for this site because it just a scam site, first thing that they dont even dare to show that they really hold 1,624 btc on their address, that means they are not holding that much of coin. To support this they even make and altcoin which refer to btc and this is make sure that they dont have it at all. The second thing is people winning there but no one ever claimed their money yet, nor OP mentioned it anything. So this is sure a scam site, better to get out from this site

Not necessarily a scam but nobody is going to win that much anyway, Nitrogen used to allow parlays of 20 teams to any maximum (sometimes to non-existent number of coins", they fixed that from a while)

The most important "suspicious" thing here is: Absence of provability fairness
adding that to the unbelievably bad odds of lotto, OP's signup bonus isn't actually 50 mbtc but might be one or two with a high rollover since you need to hit a prize to withdraw.

And no sane person is depositing real mBTC's with odds like these in my opinion.

google 6/49 and see the odds of hitting 4,5,6 numbers combined. also adding the absence of any verification I would say this is a total waste of time, even for those trying to abuse it.

I would call it a failed project or even a failed scam.
agreed! plus op hasnt been back here in days

31  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: blockchain spam on: February 28, 2017, 06:30:42 AM

Those are the addresses being used to hide a spam attack on the Blockchain. These guys know that we are operating on a network, where most blocks are about 80% full, so they just spam the network with useless transactions to fill up these blocks to cause backlogs and severe congestion.

The motives is unclear, but people seem to think that it has something to do with SegWit or BU where a "fake" congestion is being forced onto people to get them to make a decision and to break the gridlock.

Others seem to think, miners are behind this. They create a backlog and then people will pay higher miners fees to get their transactions confirmed. This leads to more profits for them.

What a sad situation for everyone else to see this technology being manipulated by greed.
wow very interesting and  didnt realise this is going on..unbelievable

No such thing as free lunch and no such thing as free bitcoin. No one will give you anything for free and if you want to get some bitcoins you have to invest your time and money, no matter if you are participating in signature campaign, if you gamble, trade or something else. Even faucets are not for free.
im afraid i have to agree op :/
