There are two types of funds - index-based (CTFs as Coin Traded Funds) and actively manged funds (CMFs as Coin Managed Funds).
ICONOMI.index is the fund that invests into that index. So if you buy $1000 into the fund, the platform will automatically buy the index underlying assets based on their current weight. Same goes when you want to exit (selling).

As ICN holder you get paid fees based on the amount of money invested in CTF funds, such as ICONOMI.Index fund, regardless of the fund performance.
ICONOMI.performance is more of a hedge-fund and is managed by Iconomi. Its investing targets are ICOs. This fund is pre-seeded with ICO money - ~4.5M usd. The idea was that 10,000 BTC is enough for platform development and daily operational costs, and all money raised above that 10K BTC threshold will be invested in the fund. So instead of this ~4.5M usd to idle in the bank or cold storage, it will actually make profits. The deal was that ~20% (no official numbers yet) of the fund profits will be distributed back as dividends to ICN holders.
As ICN holder you get dividends from all CMF funds based on their performance (percentage of the profits they make).
Once the platform will be fully operational, everyone will be able to create their own fund(s) and/or to invest in existing ones. Since Cashila is Iconomi operator, they provide easy and legalized fiat to crypto gateway, which will make it much easier to fiat investors and traditional fund managers to join the crypto world.

To get dividends, sent them over to a wallet where you have the private keys yourself. I keep them at myetherwallet. keep all the info and the keyfile safe somewhere. |

After the 28th Dec the real fun begins. Then they will start their marketing program to attract investors <3 Hopefully Forbes (again), Bloomberg, CNN and whatever and we need TV ads for lazy couch-potatoe-investors Hopefully attract the investors of the old economy on wallstreet! |
