21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Baikal Mini Cube on: April 18, 2017, 12:42:27 PM
Hi guys / gals

I need some assistance.

I've just got my very 1st Baikal Mini Cube.

Powered it up ...all seemed good.
Set the pools to mine to my account.
Boom Miner is down.
I've tried the obvious turn it off and on ....no good
I've tried pressing the reset button "Miner 111 connection refused"
When it 1st powers on I see a red/blue/orange light
At the moment the red light is on      / the blue light is flashing / orange light is off.

On my miner screen all there is, is this -----> Miner loading  -  Pi 7m 41s  -  Temp 51°C  -  Load 1.64
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is new Baikal cube miner a scam? on: April 11, 2017, 11:06:11 AM
Baikal, if i search baikalminer at skype then is the search result 12 different baikal accounts. which is the real one?

Now on this you have to be really careful I was recently scammed out of 2 bitcoins because I thought I was speaking to baikal unfortunately I wasn't.

The REAL baikal profile says "BaikalMiner"  if you see something like "live:baikalminer" thats a scammer. also check the links provided on the profile. for example "www.baikalminer.com" compared to
" www.baikalminer.com"

I may not have put in correct website giving my example but thats not the point. The point is the space before www. I missed this tiny detail when I was scammed.

Thankfully baikal have updated their payment method and you can only pay via their website.

When first contacting baikal only give them your order number and ask them to confirm your order. If they really are baikal they will show you a screen shot of your order and shipping details.
They will then give you a final price and will update the price on their website. They will NEVER ask you to send money to them through skype or email.
Stick to these golden rules and you will be fine.

Hopefully this will stop others from being scammed.

Currently trying to mine on
http://ubiqminers.org/#

I'm using claymores miner v9
But for whatever reason I keep getting this error and the miner is not running stable at all.
This is on my test rig. I normally set up a bat file on this when everything is stable I roll it out.

My Bat file is as follows
setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool pool.ubiqminers.org:8008 -ewal 0xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxa7 -eworker rig-5 -epsw x -etha 0 -r 1 -ttli 69 -tstop 72 -ethi 16 -mode 1 -allcoins 1 -esm 0 -allpools 1 -asm 1 -dcri 6

I see a little gain on my rx 480 sapphires
-dcri 9 if I go any higher or lower I see a drop
Whilst its only a small gain maybe 1mh/s in total

My main concern is the remote manger not working in V9 its very important for me that I can monitor my rigs.
So at the moment I can not use V9 .

Anyone else having problems with remote monitor with V9 or is it just me?
Am I missing some new settings or something?
I input my rigs i.p and leave the remote port of default 3333
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v9.0 (Windows/Linux) on: April 06, 2017, 06:55:14 AM
V9 claymore

Remote manager v 2.8 I'm having a few issues with this.
On V2.6 I can set up the remote manager on a different pc and monitor all my rigs on it.
But with V9 claymore I can no longer monitor them . I have tried running v2.8 remote manager on my "controller pc" but its not detecting my miner. V2.6 does not work either with V9 claymore.
If I run the remote manager on the rig itself then the remote manager detects the rig. But inputting the same rig information on to the remote manager on a different pc on the same network the remote manager see's nothing and shows my rig as off line.

Currently mining on http://musicoin.nomnom.technology
the pool has paid out once and now I'm getting nothing. I see all my coins sat on pending. Been like that for hours.

I more thing if I try to enter my rig name in the bat file I get the error invalid login. So at the moment I'm mining with just the wallet address.

I'm trying to make a batch file so I can mine ETH + DCR
I want to use ethermine.org For Eth and Suprnova for DCR

I know I'm doing something wrong here because the ETH : Job timeout, disconnect, retry in 20 sec....   keeps popping up

Here's my current batch file that isn't working.

setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eu1.ethermine.org:4444 -ewal 0xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxc.Worker05 -epsw x -etha 0  -esm 3 -dpool dcr.suprnova.cc:2252 -dwal xxxxxxxxx.worker05 -dpsw x -allpools 1 -allcoins -1 -r 1 -ttli 69 -tstop 72
is this a proper way to add worker name to eth?
I'm using -eworker command separately

Its ok I sorted it I was using -esm 3 instead of the default -esm 0

Hello community, I am new to this of the miners, I have a miner who is failing with the following error and I do not know what can be
WATCHDOG: GPU 2 hangs in OpenCl call, exit
Thx for all the help

Maybe put your log file up to see if folks on here can spot where its going wrong.

Also is it a modded card and what settings are you using?

As I've mentioned before I'm having a few problems with 1 of my rigs.

I've already swapped the risers around and for a good 10 hours it ran stable now its acting up again and crashing my rig.

Heres what I have noticed

After reboot all is fine but after a few mins of mining the memory goes to 0 .....the card still continues to hash for a while?

I've had that infuriating bullshit a few times myself.  After hours of messing I think it's more likely to be a software glitch than a riser problem.

Thanks for the reply I do appreciate it.
Anyways this was doing my nut in as it was crashing my rig meaning no mining not even at a reduced speed.
So I quickly slapped together a unit (out of spare parts) to run the single card as a testing platform.
I have the card directly attached to the motherboard and its running fine on its own.
I think I may add another card to the "rig" to justify the power usage but I'm going to wait a few weeks/months till the new cards come out see what they are like before committing.

Recently I came up with a strange thing when my rx480 8g cards were mining on different hashrates, I'm using 29Mhs rom since September and till this time everything was fine, but now couple 480s are mining at strange hasrates from 7-12 from 20-24. I tried almost every solution I could find on internet. The last thing was changing the bios back to original and 90% of cards are mining now at 24Mhs without any issues, but when I get back to 29Mhs bios they start jumping around again. I'm out of options what more to try, any suggestions ?

Check risers?
Try down clocking a little more. for example instead of using 1150/2150  try 1125/2115
I did this for a few of my cards and it did the trick infact some are @ 1100/2000 but still hashing at 29Mh/s all with the same bios

Guys / Gals

I need some advice.
All of a sudden my most stable rig is no longer stable.
One of my GPU's (RX 480)keeps dropping to 0.00 Mh/s sometimes it wont even start hashing when I start the mining software.
It was perfectly fine yesterday.
I have tried to re-install the driver to see if this was the cause.
I even selected -di 4 and ran it on its own.....when running on its own it runs perfect. But as soon as I try to run a full rig the card fails.

My PSU is a EVGA G2 1600W so that is more than enough power to run 7 cards.

I have the exact same set up on another rig and that runs fine.

I had same issue and it was caused by 'damaged' card. I ran furmark on it and it was freezing/crashing system so I replaced it.

Thanks for the input guys.

Well I'm stumped.
I decided to swap my risers around. So I chose a card from the same rig that I knew was running stable since it was only 1 card that was giving me issues.
I swapped the risers between the two cards. My thinking being if its the riser then the "good" card would then start acting up.
But now all cards are running fine?
Granted its only been 17 mins uptime. But before the "bad" card would fail after 4-5 mins .
I'm going to leave it to run for a while and see what happens but at the moment I'm thinking maybe a dodgy riser?
If it runs stable for a few more hours then I'm going to order a few more risers just in case this happens again.

Hello

I have since noticed a problem of hashrate,

My 2 cards on the same bios, the setting is identical, normally I must have 29mh.

But I have a gpu that has only 27mh, and this one is unstable it sometimes falls to 24.

Has anyone had this problem?

thank you

Try downclocking the unstable card a little more or give it a bit more power. Some times if you undervolt a card to much it can struggle.
I have the same issue as you ...same cards same bios ..one is set at 1150/2150  the other is 1125/2000 I get 29mhs from both cards .
Also your cards may drop mhs every now and again when they find and submit a share aslong as it goes back to 29mhs your fine

One of my rigs seems to be having a few problems. I've tried to alter all my settings to make it more stable but to a certain extent I have failed.
Its weird it will either run for 30 hours no problems or 10 minutes before showing "GPU hangs in opencl" its almost never the same gpu. I've gone through each card individually and solo they are fine.
I have a 1600w power supply so that is ample.
As a work around I set the miner to reboot my pc should a gpu hang.
On reboot the mining softeware starts automatically.

Here's my problem when ever a gpu hangs in open cl the core voltage (mv) is reset to 0 and when the pc reboots it uses the profile that was active before the reboot.
Is there a way I can force MSI afterburner to reapply the core voltage settings from profile 1

ok so its possible its the pool and not my cards
