21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fidelity Report Says Portfolios Should Consider 5% Bitcoin Allocation on: October 14, 2020, 06:32:35 AM
https://www.coindesk.com/fidelity-report-says-portfolios-should-consider-5-bitcoin-allocation

Fidelity Investment have like 1 or 2 trillions dollars portfolios? So 5% is like 50 or 100 billions dollars? That's a lot!

Yes, it's a lot for us but, I don't think for them it will be lol. Fidelity was one of the first institutional investment firms that created a separate branch for digital assets so I think they definitely have huge investments in digital assets.

That 3090 is really expensive. Would you guys be willing to part with $1400 to get your hands on RTX 3090? Don't you guys think mining with RTX 3080 would be much better $$$ wise?

Tether's market cap could overtake Ethereum’s next year — Bloomberg report
https://www.bitcoininsider.org/article/95787/tethers-market-cap-could-overtake-ethereums-next-year-bloomberg-report

I actually agree with them because at the pace tether is printing $ they might steal the number 2 rank from ETH.

26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you find out about new projects? on: October 08, 2020, 05:00:41 AM
I have been using CryptoDiffer and Generation Crypto for a really long time, and they provided some really good investment opportunities so far.

Polkaproject is something interesting to me I will bookmark that link. thanks
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Was 2017 the "Golden Year of Crypto"? on: October 08, 2020, 04:48:29 AM
So far, absolutely 2017 was the year when millionaires were made in crypto. And, IMO 2017 was the year that saw a tremendous increase in the crypto userbase because BTC was surging really hard at that time.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: October 08, 2020, 04:27:12 AM
Competition already started getting part of the ethereum community. Just a couple of weeks back, I saw crypto kitties developer created a new game called NBA topshot but this time, they didn't use ethereum they used some other blockchain.

In this particular case, though, they are building it on Flow, which is their own blockchain.  So it is not really a sign of "independent" developers switching to a competing system.

Ah, my bad I didn't know FLOW was from dapper labs too but you gotta agree because of the scalability issue and high transaction cost many developers are considering either moving to a different chain or building their own.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: Chainlink (LINK) - middleware that connects smart contracts to external world on: October 07, 2020, 06:57:46 AM
lol how's the dumps going?

What do you except after such crazy pump? There is were liquidation of short-term traders and now liquidation long-term. Currently price is almost fair after correlation it should be between 6-10 usd. So around 8 usd.

I am waiting for the price to go below $7.x so that I can start rebuilding my LINK bag sold almost 95% of my LINK bag when the price hit $15.
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: October 07, 2020, 06:42:27 AM
This morning I saw a tweet from Vitalik about the ethereum network's upgrade to 25000-100,000 TPS.
https://twitter.com/VitalikButerin/status/1312905882330521600
How can they do that when the ethereum network is on?
Now that they're stagnant, they'll probably rewrite the entire code. They will then migrate each of the other projects' DAPPs to the new platform.
I wonder if they can ditch the auction mechanism after removing POW completely?

we just need to reach phase 1 of ETH2.0 before competition get a part of community, due to high fees
nevertheless, i do not think that DeFi will be out, since there is a lot of value, that can sustain these high fees, but gaming will be out from Ethereum network, if the fees stay this high, and NFT will find more suitable places as well, since the value locked in these token are considerably lower than in DeFi

Competition already started getting part of the ethereum community. Just a couple of weeks back, I saw crypto kitties developer created a new game called NBA topshot but this time, they didn't use ethereum they used some other blockchain.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to create fake IDs for KYC for airdrops on: October 07, 2020, 06:31:04 AM
There used to be an app on playstore I am not sure if its there but, that app allowed us to create a fake ID so that we could go to some age-restricted venues but, I highly doubt those IDs will help you get away with cheating airdrop.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Steemit and STEEM are not Dead on: October 06, 2020, 07:08:18 AM
STEEM is not dead, but it is slowly dying. The number of steem users is slowly going down IMO. Their main competitor medium is way ahead of them in terms of users.
33  Other / Archival / Re: DeFi hyip is over? on: October 06, 2020, 06:44:14 AM

No, I haven't heard of it yet, can I get more details or a link?

Here you go mate.

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/cvault-finance/

Its also a farming. I remember when the conducted a presale all for sale was in a form of liquidity tokens that are used to fa core tokens. Its not typical presale on shitcoins that if you bought you get the tokens. You will buy the liquidity or v2 portion of what you contributed and start farming. Though the v2 can be sell on otc if you want to quit already or any peer to peer group. Compared to traditional setting of farming this is way more a good concept for me.

Anyway just checked the details. I appreciate if you could make a review since youre good on doing things mate. Now the trend changing to this kind now.

Whoa! just checked the project's CMC and, I am surprised that even without a good CEX listing that project has a whopping 31M dollar volume. What will happen when some good high volume CEX lists it lol? Looking like an interesting project, but sadly it's too expensive for me lol.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Finally!! McAfee is arrested in Spain and now facing extradition on: October 06, 2020, 06:29:38 AM

Extracted this from page 10 para 35 that dude made crazy returns just from his tweets about the ICO lol.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I need advice about my portfolio, can someone help? on: October 05, 2020, 06:13:21 AM
I would have kept 50% of my portfolio in BTC, 30% in the ethereum, and the remaining 20% will be on different altcoins. There are lots of good altcoins on the market which you can choose from. DeFi and NFT based projects would be the best bet.
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is monero a good buy because of the application? on: October 05, 2020, 05:58:53 AM
If you are into privacy-based coins like I am, then you can surely go for it. Monero is considered to be one of the topmost privacy-centered coin, and I have been holding it for a long time. IMO during bull XMR can give us good results.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: October 05, 2020, 05:50:02 AM
Nothing positive or good news seems to coming out of the Ethereum developer team at all. When will theyy realise it is better for them to take things slowly and release the testnet after ALL bugs have been ironed out instead of them playing roulette with investors?

Without testing, it will be impossible to say whether the codes has any bugs or not. This Zinken testnet which is coming on 12 OCT could help us figure out whether ETH 2.0 will be delayed or be on time.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I bought 30 grand usd worth of P106 and hosted them in China! on: October 04, 2020, 06:25:37 AM
Hey guys, I have been away for a while, I am pretty sure I got my first batch at 65% break even already, and I have been adding another 98 eight-card rig for myself and my friends, so totally I am holding 131 right now. This investment is getting more and more legit.

Wow, 131 cards rig that's huge!! After the addition of those rigs, what's the investment value is at right now?

With the increase of 98 cards, there's bound to be a nice surge of electric fee for you, right?
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Safest cryptocurrency wallets on: October 04, 2020, 06:16:10 AM
If we can access the private keys of our wallets, then I believe we are one step closer to the secure storage of our digital assets. I store most of my coins/tokens on trust wallet and MATH wallet because they provide us private keys.

Venezuela has launched a “decentralized” national stock exchange built atop the Ethereum blockchain. The new BDVE exchange is built to enable Venezuelan investors to trade stocks, bonds and real estate in digital form. They will be using the ERC-223 and ERC-721 token standards.
