21  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who's lost money? Some people must have on: April 18, 2013, 08:54:51 AM
Received several payments to some instawallets when the rate was between 120$-200$
for the moment funds are all frozen so i consider it as a total loss , i'll tell you if i lost money in July, hopefully.

22  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Instawallet claim process on: April 15, 2013, 04:50:58 AM

Still have the same problem.
Some wallets just don't want to upload and still show me this message :

The page you were looking for doesn't exist.

You may have mistyped the address or the page may have moved.

Is anyone experiencing this ?

@ Boussac,

If your wallet was created around April 1, it is possible that it was tampered with in the database. We will examine the grey zone claims after July 1st.

Thank you for your response.

I had 7 wallets at instawallet.org. For the moment, only 3 have been claimed succesfully.

The ones which are not working have been created on January, February, March and the latest one on the 1st of April.

Seems like the claim process isn't functionning perfectly by itself  Undecided

I'd like to see my 7 wallets taken into account...

Thank you

some of my wallets just say :

The page you were looking for doesn't exist.

You may have mistyped the address or the page may have moved.

Can anyone shed some light on this ?

The way i have been doing it is this

go to instawallet.org

use the cursor keys on the browser and press to the right once

this will make it look like .org/

then i type it all in there

it has worked for all mine so far. Smiley

Thanks for your input,

glad to hear yours work just fine Wink

but for my 8 wallets :

- 5 of my crypto code still state that message
- 3 of them still display a zero balance
- 1 displays a positive, minus one transaction balance

And to top it all, i can not access the site anymore.

 Undecided

I'll claim the wallet as soon as i can access it again,
i'd guess they're ubber busy with this, plus the ddos attack...
Still, what's the best way to contact them ? here or through @bitcoin-central ?

thanks for all inputs,

27  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What email service do you for your bitcoin business? on: April 11, 2013, 04:04:04 PM
Gmail works for me.

I strongly advise against using gmail. Have you not seen the security leaks Google created at instawallet and other online wallets ?
Using gmail is forwarding all your sensitive info to Google.

There are many more safer options > safe-mail, hushmail, lavabit, countermail and riseup being some of them

Just use gpg4win or any other gpg program as said previously so you can manually encrypt your communication.

I've heard ukash don't want to be associated with the bitcoin market and ban every exchanger who trade their coupons for btc.
Im not sure but that's maybe why they do not propose it anymore at okpay, could be wrong though.

Instawallet belonging to paymium and Bitcoin-Central i sure hope they will reimburse everybody, looking at their
financial facilities, they should make things right.

There are already many threads concerning this situation but no clear response from PAYMIUM Staff, which could take some time, can't deal with this kind of situation lightly

Hey bitcoiners !  Smiley

Lots of interesting threads here, some that i wish i would have read earlier, some that i reserve the read for later, but indubitably a fair amount of knowledge i still have to collect.

I'm studying Business Communication Strategies and just ended up a Master Degree in France, now thinking now about creating a few companies, just for fun and experience.

I've just registered a few days ago here because of the the security flaw which affected Paymimum, Paytunia, Instawire, and Bitcoin Central, and of course Instawallet, where i tried to toy around with some of my coins the exact same week they got potentially hacked in.

Maybe I should propose this company my services and my experience since their communication is a real disaster, almost a case study on how to ruin your online reputation in few days, but on the same time crisis communication has never been an easy task and hopefully they're working hard on fixing their technical issues and less akin to chitchat atm....one can dream haha.

Im sure many new members are on the same situation I'm on, see you in the claim process thread !

EDIT : wow, so many new replies have been posted while typing this post. Glad to be part of this newbies wave!

Kindly,
