21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Cryptocurrency's killer app: disrupting web ads via RaiBlocks micropayments on: March 20, 2017, 11:04:48 PM
I announce I'm working on the algoritm of the first XRB "mixer".
I say "mixer" and not mixer, just because it doesn't mix, but wants to reach the same goal.
Would be better call it: XRB deceiver.

Coin mixer concept:

Differents users or holders join their funds and an algorithm split them back. (Very basic concept)

Coin deceiver concept:

Since I want to provide a solution that allow to "mix" coin without the help of third parts, I can't call it mixer. Just deceiver.
What's the concept? XRB allows us to a potentially infinite number of tx, since no fee is required.

Deception is more efficient as:

- more time deception lasts
- more txs are generated from the source account (the account wants to to deceive)

The basic idea is to analyze how much tx in the network happen, how many different amounts are send, what's the amount average and other txs property.

The goal is to make believe to your "account stalker" that you don't hold your funds anymore and that such funds have just being send to someone else.

At the end of deception, from your source account you'll get many many more accounts with different amounts. You'll be able to spend such splitted amount with a proper tool.

(You'll loose some funds, because to perform a proper deception, your funds will be sent to accounts of other ppl, that you don't own).

Will be written in PHP and posted on GitHub (so other devs can write in different language).

Give me your feedback.

Monero's ringct would be amazing but I'm not sure if it's possible to implement that into raiblocks.

On your idea, since transactions and creating accounts are free, i think it would be better just to use your own accounts rather than accounts of other people, it reduces risk.

is this site lagging only for me?

I'm not sure if it's going to be able to handle the new influx of users... I'm still waiting for my registration email.
i registered, email came easily in a second, but for me its only loading and after a minutes error 502 with host error..

I haven't had those errors, I can browse the different markets, just a little slow but it does load.

Is there a way to relocate the wallet database to a different location and to get it to syn from the new location? (I want to move it to my computer's second hard drive, OS is windows)
There is no --datadir option yet. But you can make hardlink

Close wallet and make sure it's closed in Task manager --> Processes (rai_wallet.exe)
Copy entire %LOCALAPPDTA%\RaiBlocks folder to other disk
For example to disk D:
So it will be D:\RaiBlocks
Rename old folder in localappdata to something like RaiBlocks_old (kind of backup)
Open command line as administrator
type
mklink /J %LOCALAPPDATA%\RaiBlocks D:\RaiBlocks
Open wallet again

It worked, thanks Smiley

I thing the system update Playlist wrong. 3.000 Validated = 2.700 Claim. Huh?
Check also previous distribution. Perhaps you started claiming just at the end of previous period
https://raiblockscommunity.net/faucet/distribution-single.php?did=1489276802

How check previous distribution from say 7 days ago or yesterday?

Can't seem to work out how to navigate to them on the website.

I liked this puzzle Smiley, 281 which links to #209 is the answer
I'm glad that you liked it. It was damn time consuming to make Roll Eyes
Could have taken me, like an hour to compose and I'm still not to happy how it looks...
But the question is: Did you claimed it? Who did? We have a contest here, after claiming you where informed how much coins the code was containing, if you want to take a shot for special prize than your post needs to have information on how many coins have been claimed. Without this info points are "gone".

I did not realise this, there was 250.6 doge in the code and I claimed it a fews mins before I posted that I claimed the prize.
