21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PSU requirement for 2 MSI RTX 2070 in SLI configuration on: February 09, 2020, 09:43:33 PM
No, it wouldn't be sufficient for 2x RTX 2070.
Can you post the details of the PSU that you have received with the set here?
I wouldn't recommend 600W & lower than Gold rated for 24 7 mining.
Get a Corsair RM series PSU - 1000W to be on the safe side.

Also, disable SLI when mining because it will not be beneficial for mining and create issues per se.

I apologize, i am new to mining and I have quite a bit to Google about SLI configurations.

The information I got from my rig's PSU can be found in the Amazon link I provided. According to customer's reviews, 600W is the voltage of the PSU.
22  Other / Serious discussion / Is this guy a swindler? on: February 09, 2020, 08:41:26 PM
I just watched this video. The guy being interviewed says he charged a law firm $USD500 to simply build a WordPress site. If I tried to charge $USD500 to build a WordPress website on this forum, I would be laughed out of the services section.

I am a bit confused. Should I rip off non-tech savvy people or should I charge more than him for my ability to write code? This "inspiration" only got his riches by scamming people.

For the power with a typical cpu its enough.

Great. Thank you.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / PSU requirement for 2 MSI RTX 2070 in SLI configuration on: February 01, 2020, 08:29:19 AM
I recently purchased this computer to experiment with mining. I made a fair bit of change so far,

The rig comes with a 600w power supply and I was wondering if sufficient to add a second MSI RTX 2070. I get free electricity (ie. No hydro bill whatsoever) so electricity is not a concern for me.

Will my PSU power the two cards sufficiently, or do I need to buy a new power supply?

At some point I was very interested in graphics which includes after effects, 3dmax and etc, html/css, php and so on but I don't have nervous for that and found myself in different place which suits me. Btw still love that at some point, it's amazing when you create something from your knowledge.
To be fair I can't say anything from those two links, second one looks like background with image and that's all.
If you really have knowledge in html/css, Bootstrap, php, js and etc, personally I suggest you to try your fate on themeforest and in overall on envato's websites. They are great platform to create something and sell. I think that's much more beneficial than being hired by someone for particular time.

that actually does sound like a better idea than what I've been doing this whole time on this forum. i do like the idea of passive income, and from all the YouTube videos from YouTubers I watched, selling your time is the least effective way of making money. I never thought about selling my designs, as I can make something once and sell it. Back to Angular/Photoshop videos I guess.

Daily bump.
27  Economy / Services / Re: Web developer for hire - recent developments included on: November 26, 2019, 08:11:33 PM
That's great, Kudos to you. Like you, I'm a CS student at the moment, I have experience in HTML, Python (last semester course) CSS3 (Taking an advanced CSS course atm). Overall, I'm quite proficient in all 3 at the moment. Unlike you, I haven't worked with any framework/JS yet as I'm self-cleaning web development + school work.

I've taken out time to see the projects you're currently working on, the forum app on Laravel/PHP looks good. I'd like to see the finished version soon. If I have anyone needing some web dev service, I'll refer them to you (I'm currently not offering a service yet until I've gotten the foundation of JS). Keep at it Smiley

Thank you! Like I said, I've only been learning AngularJS since the summer. I know it looks like shit but, hey, it's a project Tongue

I am a hobbyist/student web developer who has three years experience Laravel and less than one year with the MEAN stack. I am currently looking for projects to work on. I enjoy programming, doing a little bit every day.

Whenever I get a project on this forum, I spend quite a bit of time on it every day. I use Google when I am stuck, and 99% of the time I figure out my error without ever posting a question on Stackoverflow. I am working on two personal projects, neither are complete, but I am including them here as examples of my work.

I have experience with HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, Vue.js, AngularJS, and NodeJs/Express. I have experience working with SQL databases - such as MySQL and NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB. I understand Git and the principals of unit testing.

Here are some examples of my work.

http://intransportal.com/forum/threads <--- Laravel project. I am following a screencasts series on Laracasts. This is what I got so far.
http://bitpaigow.firebaseapp.com <--- I am learning Angular. The site does not look the best, but like i said it isn't finished yet.

The minimum budget I will work with is $100 payable in Bitcoin. I have experience working with the EasyBitcoin API to integrate Bitcoin functionality seamlessly. The last client I had was asking me for money. Please do not contact me if you are not offering work. 50% upfront payment or escrow is required. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Please get back to me on Telegram. You seem like a really nice guy and I would like to get to know me. We'll chat later and if I'm ever in London I'll definitely meet up for coffee with you.

I actually took an online course on building a forum software in my favourite framework. Hit me up, I'll join your team.

I actually enjoy programming. I think it's a lot of fun. In addition, I am learning. Just because it's a paid job doesn't mean you can't have fun doing it.
Why you sound like you're desperately looking for an investor then? lol Ofcourse, you can enjoy coding as much as you want but I just prefer to get paid for what I love doing.
I'm currently desperate for mopney in general. I havbe zero dollars in my bank account.
Have you have any idea , how much it will roughly cost?

I heard to be successful casino, you need bankroll of 100 BTC.

Highly subjective. Depends on the number of games you have, participants and obviously the types of bets you accept. 100 BTC wouldn't be a bad start but not a great start either.
I think a good idea would be if I built a crowdfunding site for this project. I can sell dividends of 70% of the casino profit. Of course, we need somebodsy trustworthy to handle the money. I am not DT2 anymore but I'm sure I can find somebody.
33  Economy / Services / WEB DEVELOPERS: Looking for assistance? on: June 11, 2019, 02:18:56 AM
I am a hobbyist programmer currently looking to find work as an assistant web developer. I am fluent in HTML5, CSS3, client-side JKacaScript and PHP and I have worked with SQLite and MySQL databases. I know a little bit of the MEAN stack as well. I find myself getting overloaded with learning new frameworks. The frameworks I have a solid grasp on are Laravel for PHP, Bootstrap for CSS and Vue.js as well as a bit of jQuery for JavaScript. I can do boring, repetitive tasks for you. I can help you meet project deadlines and I enjoy learning new things.

Prices are cheap. I ask for $USD15/hour for my assistance. I will not bother you for help with the assignments you give me. I like using Google before asking someone else. I have learned that it's best to search, implement something and try again before asking for help. PM me for code I have written in the past. Escrow is required.
34  Economy / Securities / Re: Looking for investors for a poker website on: June 11, 2019, 12:23:50 AM
I'm working on a Gambling site backed by an investor. He's not on the DT or a reputed member on bitcointalk but I'm certain he has enough funds to pay for my development services and run a gambling site properly. We've used a forum escrow to hold the funds and everything is going smoothly at the moment. As a fellow developer, I'd suggest finding an investor first before writing the actual code. Otherwise, you'd be wasting time and efforts to create something which will never be launched into the market due to lack of availability of funds.

I actually enjoy programming. I think it's a lot of fun. In addition, I am learning. Just because it's a paid job doesn't mean you can't have fun doing it.
35  Economy / Securities / Looking for investors for a poker website on: June 10, 2019, 10:16:35 PM
I have given myself until the end of the year to create a state-of-the-art Fortune Pai Gow Poker website. For those of you who do not know what Pai Gow is read up about it here. Pai Gow is very popular in my home province of British Columbia, and the site could make millions.

For those of you who don't know me, I used to be DT2 until being kicked off for making false feedbacks against people In a couple of years on this forum I have only tried to make money legitimately; I don't scam. I've been working on a Bitcoin version of Pai Gow that has the bonuses described in the link I provided. FortuneJack I know already has Pai Gow, but not with the same betting rules.

As other DT members know, I'm a cash-strapped hobbyist computer programmer who tries his luck trying to find jobs on this forum. Be it being scammed or when jobs fall through or when the job requires a language or framework I don't know, I have not had much luck with finding actual jobs I can do that pay. Partly because I have more to learn and partly because people suck on this forum. I am not looking for additional coders at this point because it just so happens my "friend" IRL decided to sleep on my couch for two weeks and he used up a lot of my resources.

I am looking for somebody who can provide a signed message for an address with enough money in it for hosting, licensing, bankroll, domain, and additional development costs. I want this to be a licensed casino because the last partner I had developing a gambling site was not necessarily the most trustworthy; he expected players to take the site at face value (he literally texted me on Skype baffled by how people trust Bustabit but not him). He also ended up not having the money he said he had because he was a gambling addict.

For this reason, it would be great if the investor had green trust here. They could buy the VPS and everything we need and I could continue coding the site. Money does not necessarily have to pass through my hands but it would be nice to get a burger from McDonald's instead of getting a meal at soup kitchens. While I may not be as experienced as the creator of BitTorrent, I am similar to him in the respect that writing the code for this website is one of the only jobs I have. I work day labour occasionally, but I am physically disabled and just last week I got injured dropping a box on my hand unloading a truck. Too many accidents = safety risk = termination.

I would greatly appreciate anybody who is interested in helping me. Revenue from the completed site would be divided by employees based on a contract I will draft. Pai Gow is very popular where I live and I think if the site is bug-free we could make a killing. If you have a business degree, I am interested in incorporating in either Canada or your country.

PM me if interested. If you're a trusted programmer here, I will show you the code I have written thus far. The site is written in PHP and uses Laravel. PM me or reply here if you have any questions.

I have registered the domain name basicssoft.com. I am looking for a BTC0.0049 loan. I require an escrow to hold the collateral. Newbies don't even bother making any offers. Thanks

Like DireWolfM14 stated, the amount youre asking is to low for something like a domain since you need to have the domain transferred back and forth, which cost and also domain registers usually restrict the domains (to comply with icann) from being transferred within 60 days of the of registration or transferred, and on top of that the domain isnt really valid collateral. Very generic domain which was created less than a month ago. It sounds more like a sale than anything. So its pretty useless. Do you have anything else to be used as collateral?

I'd like to help you but I'm sorry, there are too many red flags.  Also, the domain you're offering as collateral is prohibited from transfer.

Domain Status: clientTransferProhibited https://icann.org/epp#clientTransferProhibited

That would show it for any domain that isnt unlocked so it could be transferred.

That's all I got for collaerial. I guess I can't get a loan. I'm locking this thread.

You're collateral isn't great, and securing a domain for such a small loan seems like more trouble than it's worth.

How long do you need until you can repay, and what are you offering as the repayment amount?

I get paid by my temp agency on Friday so I can pay then. I will hit up my local Bitcoin ATM. I am offering BTC0.00588

39  Other / Off-topic / Comment on my screenplay! on: March 21, 2019, 03:29:51 PM
I have gotten a lot of feedback from "jocks" on my idea for a movie, but now I want the "nerds" opinions.

I'm writing a semi-autobiographical movie I hope to make a fortune from one day. It's basically about a disabled person, who was bullied by football players and cheerleaders but overcomes it. This is not the first scene, but it was what came to my mind when I started writng my script.

As Vod said, it's best to "crowdthink". My question is: would you watch this film?

Thanks for your feedback!

I've deleted the feedback.

Never put me on DT again, please. I'm never sending another rating again.
