All right, thank you for the informations. who is the developer doing the actual coding in pink? also, what is he working on right now?
Most of the development is done by Tranzium. He is currently working on Pay With PINK. Wallet development is done by Sumgye, who is currently working on a completely updated wallet. Other development by community members being done is by Boxxa, who is doing a mobile wallet, sms sending and some other nice little treats. And last but not least, is Anoxy who is currently building a Texas Hold'Em Poker site for Pinkcoin. So I love the Pay with PINK idea and think this would be huge, but I can't imagine yet where you're converting the PINK to $$$. Because the market isn't currently very liquid. So either we need a strong multipool to buy the PINK spent with PWP, or we need to hope that the implementation of Pay with PINK itself creates strong enough demand and trading in PINK to support the conversions. Which it might, this is pretty huge if it works. ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) For the most part, a good portion of the coins received through Pay With Pink will be held. In the event that we need to replenish the $$ pool and the market is not moving enough for us to sell. We will likely pay off some initial investors with PINK and offer the opening for new BTC investors. This is not something that has really been discussed yet, but is a definite possibility. And your asking the question, leads me to believe that this would be the best course of action. Taking BTC investments and dumping BTC for Fiat is definitely prefered over selling PINK.

I would love to run the wallet and mine the coin, but the computer I humbly built earlier this year only has 8gb of ram :| hashblock.h const uint32_t MAIN_SHINY_PADS = 16; const uint32_t MAIN_SHINY_CHUNKS = 125829120; const uint32_t MAIN_SHINY_ITERS = 8388608; Does that mean that we need 15 GB of RAM in order to run the wallet? ![Shocked](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/shocked.gif) Looks like MAIN_SHINY_CHUNKS should be 12582912 instead of 125829120. Edit: MAIN_SHINY_ITERS seems to be a little high, too... Please make sure that a slowish CPU can solve a hash in less than ~1-2sec; if it takes too long, block propagation will slow down significantly (and we'll get a lot of orphans) Edit2: Just had a look at a whitepaper and saw that those 15GB are intentional. I still think that this is way too much because most people who want to run this wallet probably don't have 15 GB of RAM to spare. There will be a block explorer, and a web wallet for people who dont care to download and run the client software. I will post the url before launch.

I think a more pressing concern regarding the block reward is our PoW algorithm itself, when HIRO launched X11 was a new PoW algorithm, there were no multipools or big farms exploiting it, now its been a while that there are both, so mining income is centralized - and at the hands of people that instantly dump it for quick cash. We need to change algo.
pretty please?

I know there are many XC investors who are curious of why the dev paid loljosh 0.7btc. I have seen some posts from XC'ers asking about it and within minutes it gets deleted.
He bought premium homegrown hydroponic marijuana, a few grams of pure cocaine and threw a party. A jealous neighbor that wasnt invited to appreciate all that delicious coke started spreading FUD from that day on.

What will happen to the coins I already hold after the relaunch though, is the old blockchain still valid or are my coins going to disappear?
