21  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin become an asset on: June 22, 2018, 04:16:50 PM
https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/south-korean-supreme-court-rules-bitcoin-asset/

I read about this news that in south korea bitcoin is legally become recognizeable as asset. I do think bitcoin is a currency and not an asset. I dont know whether this is good news or not for cryptocurrency. One thing i believe with legalization from goverment i do think more investors will come to invest in bitcoin, but i think if bitcoin become an asset its not as it suppose to because i believe bitcoin should be a currency which is currency is for transaction and asset is not for transaction.

The essence of bitcoin’s anonimity and decentralization will be lost if that is the case. Bitcoin users prefer that their account in bitcoin is anonymous without an owner’s name but if you count it as an asset then the bitxoin address will be known and will be identified as owners. When bitcoin will count as an asset then you must pay a tax to the government which is totally not a characteristic of bitcoin.
22  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Face up to reality: The game is over on: June 22, 2018, 04:00:48 PM
The development since late December shows very clearly what is happening.

The whales - and anyone else with half a financial brain - are slowly selling all their bitcoin. As they sell, prices begin to drop sharply. They then hold back on the selling and newbies and "HODL'ers" are foolish enough to "buy the dip". This sends the price back up.

It then repeats with rates dropping again, until the newbies and "HODL'ers" buy the dip once more.

Except on every round the dip gets deeper and deeper.

The game is over, and anyone so stupendously stupid to keep buying from the whales who are unloading are basically just throwing their money away.

Face up to reality, the party is over.

The game is not yet over, it is just starting. Yes some people buy when price dips and sell before the bubble bursts, but that’s how bitcoin works, its just a cycle. However, the price decrease today is just one of those bitcoin experiences before and price will still increase and climb up more. There are a lot of news that bitcoin is dead but it is still surviving until this day.
23  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we make sure that our money we invest in Bitcoin is safe? on: June 21, 2018, 09:16:53 AM
I just want to know how those people behind bitcoin secure the money they will invest because as far as I know there are lots of hackers all over the world.

I think one of the ways to protect ohr bitcoin is to have a unique password that is difficult to guess. It is an individual responsibility. Also, bitcoin algorithms are difficult to hack. But on the other hand, this is a digital world and safety of our virtual account is hard to guarantee. The good thing about bitcoin is that it is discreet and anonymous and wealthy people’s account are not known.
24  Economy / Speculation / Re: Selling bitcoin is a stupid decision ? on: June 16, 2018, 04:43:03 AM
I do no longer see some thing incorrect in promoting bitcoin,we are unfastened to decide whilst to preserve our investments
We maintain the important thing for our success though we are all saying that we need to hodl our coins however there are investor pick to have short time period investments.they're the humans who've tons less endurance, within the occasion that they promote inside the sense that it's miles truly desired for emergency purposes and now not approximately Fuds or fee votality that is very large.we all favored right right here to earnings and if someone choose to promote their cash then they are the simplest accountable of their actions and as tgey take danger on making an funding they probable understand the approach even as to profits.  Grin Grin Grin Grin

Please use appropriate words because I dont really get what u mean and it seems un understandable. But I get it that some people doesn’t have the indurance to hold bitcoin and lean on the short term investments. Some people are just like that, they want an easy return of investment and you must understand. However, it is still important that people must understand the benefits of long term investments and prices will be higher if people hol bitcoin.
25  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: actual number of people using Bitcoin? on: June 15, 2018, 06:27:10 PM
Is there a way to determine the number of people who are actually using Bitcoin till date? Who would have access to such information? Meaning a way to find out, how many new people have used Bitcoin in 2016 , so that we can say exponential growth is natural not artificially created by hoarders.

I think it will be impossible to count the number of bitcoin users because there are a lot of brances of bitcoin like online bitcoinwallet owners, miners, employees of bitcoin in signatures, bounty canpaigns, and many more. Also, users are anonymous so you will nit know weather a single person own one account or have many accounts so there is really no way in finding the number of bitcoin users accurately. But I think it increases from 2016 because of the popularity of bitcoin.
26  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which is more risky? Bitcoin or bank investment? on: June 15, 2018, 05:50:57 PM
Bitcoin is indeed risky. But bank investments are risky too. In our country (coz I'm not sure if this exist in other countries). When you have a large amount on your account they will call you and ask you if you want to invest, minimum of 20,000 Php (or 400 USD). They will propose some investment plans where there is a choice of low, medium, or high risk investment. When you choose the high risk there is a chance to lose or gain 100% of your investment (Medium is 75% and low is 50% if I remember it right). It doesn't make sense to me, it sounds like a scam, they will invest using your money and you don't have any control to it. That is why I like bitcoin more, coz Though it is risky and it's very volatile, you have full control on your investment.

What do you guys think?

Both bank and bitcoin  investments are risky and in all other investments. Yes I agree that in bank investments, there are a lot of extra and hidden charges that was not discussed in the initial offer. They will also take advantage of you to take the chance to invest, the interest is alao low because the bank are the one who will benefit from you profit. On the other hand, on bitcoin, you have full control on how, when and where to invest without thinking of paying additional fees and your profit will be yours alone.
27  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think that other coins move faster? on: June 15, 2018, 10:35:41 AM
Do you think that Bitcoin has become too slow to compete with the relatively quick alt coins out there? Is it realty competitive to have a slow community rather than a centralised decision making in development?

In other words, does the community effect of decentralisation enough to counterbalance the difficult decision making processes?

I think bitcoin is not slow and it is competitive in the market. In fact bitcoin still is number one. When a bitcoin price is faster to move, it does not mean that it is the best. The only problem in bitcin is its user. The community needs to rethink how to use bitcoin and the proper use of transacting with it.
28  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What does bitcoin need to improve? on: June 15, 2018, 06:18:18 AM
I can clearly see that there are other cryptocurrencies that are beginning to dethrone bitcoin, showing off there quick and secured transactions, though bitcoin continues to be the king. What does bitcoin need to improve state your opinions.

I don’t believe that other ceyptocurrencies will be able to dethrone bitcoin. Bitcoin is still number one and the king of all cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin is bot the problem but its users. If only bitcoin can choose a strategic and intelligent users then nothing can be a problem. It is already secured as people are just ignorant on how to keep their bitcoins with them
29  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is market down due to Eid of muslims? on: June 15, 2018, 06:00:43 AM
With Eid just around the corner across the globe...

Are mulims in crypto space selling and taking their money out from crypto space to buy gifts for their loved ones causing market down?

You have quite a point there ut gow did you find the relation of bitcoin and muslim celebration? Our muslim brothers and sisters are just celebrating their feast and bitcoin has nothing to do with it. We must practice respect and civility. Just remember that noone really knows why cryptocurrency prices go up and down but it is its characteristic that is called volatility.
30  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why do governments don't make BTC illegal worldwide ? on: June 06, 2018, 11:55:25 AM
I'm wondering this because is such a real threat to bank system and we all know how banks and governments are tightly linked !

BTC could make people more autonomous, self-resilient, being their own bank. You can use it like cash, making your transaction almost untraceable (or untraceable using e.g. monero or dash or laundry systems) : this is governments worst nightmare, isn't it ?

Government cannot control bitcoin because bitcoin doesn’t want to be controlled. It is the advantage of bitcoin that it cannot be controlled because of its anonimity and privacy. Also, if the government will control it, you have to pay taxes and transaction fees which can make transactions expensive. Bitcoin users love bitcoin because of its cheap and easy transactions. If you remove that, bitcoin will never be unique.
31  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Holding Bitcoin affect the stocks on: June 05, 2018, 03:20:05 AM
People nowadays used to hold bitcoin instead than to circulate it, how may if affect in the stock or volume of the bitcoins?

Definitely yes, holding a bitcoin will have an impact in the market. Its all about the rule of the supply and demand. If bitcoin owners hold bitcoin, then the supply of bitcoin will decrease so demand will increase thus a rise on the value of bitcoin.and vice versa. So if u want a bubble, hold for a longer period of time and wait for the increase.
32  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to get Cryptocurrency Job?? on: June 04, 2018, 06:44:54 PM
There was a news about getting job in cryptocurrency . If you can not make enough money in different cryptocurrency and you think it can not fit your daily income.
Maybe you end up getting an actual job especially for those who have a family that depends on them.
I read about this news about Cryptoconomy offers a job opportunities with no qualifications necessary.
Try to look at this news  Smiley if you want.

https://news.bitcoin.com/how-to-get-a-cryptocurrency-job/?utm_source=Bitcoin.com+Subscribers&utm_campaign=7e9d8e50e8-Daily+Newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_ea978414cb-7e9d8e50e8-216294061&goal=0_ea978414cb-7e9d8e50e8-216294061&mc_cid=7e9d8e50e8&mc_eid=96ac46ed19

But there is a question in my mind. What if you dont have enough skills and knowledge about cryptocurrency. And i am one of them..

The article does not really enumerate cryptocurrency jobs available but it provide tips on how to land on one. You can join bounty campaigns to earn some. And if you do not have cryptocurrency knowledge, start to earn one by simply searching the web on the basics of cryptocurrency investment. There are also various sources on youtube that you can watch so that you can be more knowledgeable, just know how to use the sources available.
33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what can you buy with bitcoin? on: June 04, 2018, 03:51:43 PM
In the UK, theirs a store called CEX where you can buy second hand dvds, computer games, consoles etc. CEX is in all the main towns and cities and is very popular, been around nearly 20 years now. Any way i noticed on their website that you can pay with bitcoin, on their website.
"Payments - To buy any product from Webuy.com you must make payment using a valid UK credit or debit card, PayPal account, Bitcoin or CeX voucher."
I've heard rumors you can buy gold, property and even sports cars directly with bitcoins. Obviously there are loads of scammers these days, does anyone know of any such legitimate companies and what products you can currently buy?

Bitcoin payment is already soreading, latest news is that KFC already accept butcoin payment and also they accept it on deliveries. In my country, there are partner stores who offered bitcoin payment. There is this site where you can buy using bitcoin and they will deliver pizza. Partner storesa are Domino pizza and Pizza hut.
34  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if someone bought up all the existing bitcoins? on: June 04, 2018, 05:05:38 AM
Hi, I am a noob to all this bitcoin stuffs. It sounds like an interesting idea but before I invest too much into it I have
some questions and concerns. Perhaps highest on my list of concerns is the possibility that someone will buy up all,
or most, of all the bitcoins that exist.

Will it be just like the existing economic system where the rich get richer on the backs of the poor?
Will that not destroy the whole bitcoin project and make whatever bitcoins I happen to get myself worthless?

I have read a few things on this kinda stuff and some of it sounds pretty scary. I don't know how much of it
is FUD or how feasible any of it is at all at all.

Please help me understand and ease my mind in regard to this issue.

Thank you

It is quite obvious that you are new to bitcoin with that kind of question. Apparently, it will be almost impossible that a single person will own bitcoin. If that is what you worry, i believe that bitcoin owners like me will not also allow that to happen. A characterisitis of bitcoin is that nobody really regulates it and that is what bitcoin users like so they will not let it happen.
35  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Criminals and Bitcoin on: June 03, 2018, 05:36:28 AM
I have seen some news regarding hackers, terrorists, and other criminals using bitcoin for illegal trades.
How the police can find about these transactions?
Even if is hard to track illegal transactions, I don't think that Bitcoin can be a danger to society, since the problem is the society and its people.
Since the beginning of the internet this is happening ( the bad people committing crimes)  and no one is willing to shutdown internet because of that, so in that matters Bitcoin should be equivalent. I think those illegal transaction are one of the reasons some governments and the media are trying to depreciate bitcoin, but the problem is not Crypto/blockchain or Bitcoin, is just the society.

Bitcoin is unique because of its anonimity and these characteristic of bitcoin makes users to stay and use it. I think criminals and bitcoin are just correlated because users of bitcoin can be anonymous and cannot be tract, which what criminals want, not to track their actions and transactions. However I think that this is only fake news. Nonetheless, bitcoin is just a tool for people to use and its up to the person when and where they want to use it.
36  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will crypto replace fiat money? on: June 02, 2018, 09:03:19 AM
I would like to know if cryptocurrency will replace fiat money in the future,  also if so how long it will likely take.  Also,  I would like to know which coin you think would take over if one will.  (E.G. Dogecoin,  BTG, LTC, XMR)

I think not in the near future, bitcoin is still the famous, most popular and most used cryptocurrency and I believe it is still growing and finding its way to the center stage. This century will still be dominated bitcoin. If ever bitocin will be replaced, another rising cryptocurrency is the etherium and I think it will follow the path of bitcoin.
37  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why people are still buying Bitcoin? on: May 31, 2018, 11:27:08 PM
If people buy Bitcoin at $8,000, they will get 100% profit only when Bitcoin reaches $16,000. If it takes 5 years to reach $16,000, people will earn more money from Gold and Silver than from Bitcoin. Silver is giving 20% to 35% profit in one year.

Mining cost of one Bitcoin is $5,000 or more. When Bitcoin was $400 or $800 it was understandable because people had to just spend $400 or $800 to get one Bitcoin and $1,200 is super high profits when Bitcoin started from $1.

Every investment is risky and does not have assurance to stably grow at 25% or 35% rate even in gold or silver. There are so much opportunities in buying bitcpin other that that investment. You can pay using bitcoin but you cannot use gold or silver in paying your coffee or meal. So do ot compare bitcoin from silver and gold because they are very different.
38  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: some good info about bitcoin on: May 27, 2018, 04:24:43 AM
I am trying to learn and share with u guys about bitcoin. I think it is gonna help someone like me.

"Research produced by the University of Cambridge estimates that in 2017, there were 2.9 to 5.8 million unique users using a cryptocurrency wallet, most of them using bitcoin"

one more interesting knowledge is :
"The word bitcoin first occurred and was defined in the white paper that was published on 31 October 2008. It is a compound of the words bit and coin".
( The white paper frequently uses the shorter coin).

so guys you can also share good and short info about bitcoin.

A very nice survey. I am glad that this forum really inform bitcoin owners and even other cryptocurrency owners about news, updates and additional information. Another news that i heard is that KFC already accept bitcoin payment thru online transactions but you must have a bitcoin wqllet present and a bitcoin account to avail the payment method. Its quite processy but at is only at first. In the future all fastfood chain will already use bitcoin.
39  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why so many Bitcoin users have fear of governments? on: May 26, 2018, 01:23:29 PM
I can't escape to notice that many users here on forum have terrible rebbelious fear of governments. Like government is some evil devil that will destroy Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. But is this realy so, do such claims have any reasonable ground at all?

To my opinion the cause for something like that is again ignorance. I think that regulation that is mentioned in many countries is often mixed with centralization which is something that is not natural to Bitcoin because it's functioning totaly different than fiat currencies. Also some warnings to people that Bitcoin is volatile and risky investment that come from national banks are often interpretated as hostile behaviour towards Bitcoin and attempts to make people not to use it.

Is there any hope that Bitcoin users and governments will find the common language and help Bitcoin together to be more accepted in economy, especialy by businesses and to become more "legal" everywhere?

If the government just acknowledge the benefits of bitcoin to a country’s economy, it would have been their common language. For the betterment of the economy. Actualy users does not fear government but they just dont want government to control it because it would be more complicated.
40  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best country for crypto on: May 25, 2018, 01:39:00 PM
Always heard that Switzerland is a great place to livve and now they are leading at this too

https://cointelegraph.com/news/switzerland-first-in-ranking-of-top-10-most-blockchain-friendly-countries-in-europe

Switzerland also has great climate to mine bitcoin and the enrgy that will be used will be cheaper. Bit i think Japan would be a perfect place for bitcoin. Japan is leading in technological inmovation and is perfect for the placement of bitcoin ATM or transacting cashless. Also, people in japan is always open to new possibilities and they have a great economy as well as th money.
