"Keep trying, you will sync eventually. There's really heavy network load at the moment - but you will succeed eventually"

I've wasted my evening on this shit. Couldn't connect to a single node. Anal clowns.

Go to %APPDATA%\MaxCoin\maxcoin.conf
Update this file so that it matches this https://github.com/Max-Coin/clients/blob/master/example-maxcoin.conf file, with the username and password set to whatever you want.

Open the terminal (Windows key + R, type cmd) and traverse to the directory that the .exe file is stored in (type cd *directoryname*)

Type maxcoind.exe --daemon

And the miner will begin mining, keep an eye on the %APPDATA%\MaxCoin\debug.log. This will let you know the status of miner.

doesnt work, same problem, it says that i have to set a password, dont know why this programm wont work.

You must create maxcoin.conf in Users/XXX/AppData/Roaming/Maxcoin

https://github.com/Max-Coin/clients/blob/master/example-maxcoin.conf

# Seed nodes
addnode=maxexplorer.cloudapp.net
addnode=maxcoin.cloudapp.net
addnode=maxcoinus.cloudapp.net
addnode=maxcoinasia.cloudapp.net
addnode=213.179.202.19
addnode=wombat.dar.sh

# Enable RPC
server=1

# RPC information
rpcuser=maxcoinrpc
rpcpassword=supersecurepassword

# Mining
gen=1

yes, all is exactly set, but it wont work. For me its enough, im out of this.

How many hours left to the launch?

Looks like none, several pools already mining the cream off this coin  :|

how can they mine without a wallet?

Gruss stefan

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand again.
New informations?
Hi razerrr,

What kind of information do you expect?

Are there any shares you hold at this time, which will be liquidated in the future or is the prozess completed and no shareholder will get anything anymore?

35  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Asrock H81 BTC Pro Board and Sapphire Tri-X 290s on: January 31, 2014, 08:08:35 PM
I got the USB powered risers from ^ to use with the H81 BTC, and like many of you, don't know what is the best method of powering the cards.

Two 860W PSU, six GPU (R9 270), one H81 BTC.

Do I want to connect power to both mobo molex and USB risers?
Or just use powered USB risers?
Or can the USB risers work without power connected, and power the two mobo molex?
If you strongly prefer a method, please give your reasoning.

I hope we can come to a conclusion, as there are many conflicting views.

You HAVE to power the riser, or the card won't work. This isn't a ribbon cable where power is moved to the card via the ribbon. The USB risers won't function without power connected to them.

Power from multiple supplies does not cause shorts. That's not how DC electricity works. The problem with ribbon cables that fail is cheap materials, cheap / poor connections with high resistance, and hooking up 6 cards that draw 35-70 watts through the pci slot connections when the motherboard has no provision for that kind of current draw.

No I got my problem solved.
It wasn't the fault of the risers, it was the fault of the energiecabel, i had in my psu.
Nevertheless.
Now I have two R290X on two different cabels, one in the x16 slot and one via riser in the x1 slot.
These risers are with power connector, but I'm not using it, the card works without the more energie.
I also have no extra energy connected to the mainboard.
This method works since several hours ( we'll see if something happens in future) on two systems ( both have the same construction).
36  Local / Mining (Deutsch) / Re: Black Screen bei HC 81 pro BTC & Sapphire R290x. on: January 31, 2014, 07:48:01 PM

Street Jammer,

Sounds like you got a good setup going with this H81. I bought two but haven't been able to get it quite going. Perhaps I can benefit from your experience...

When you say don't use powered risers how do you mean? I bought a bunch of 1x to 16x PCIe risers with the molex connectors. Can I just used my powered risers without connecting powering them?

I'm trying to get Ubuntu + Asrock H81 working but failing to recognize any of my 7970s in the 1x slots (only got the 16x slot working). You think Xubuntu might be better? - have you tried Ubuntu before?

Thanks.
-Ira

That's my qurstion too.
I also have this board, but out of a sudden, it won't work anymore and today my risers began to melt.
So now I'm looking for the right config especially because it worked and from just to now even not.

PS: I'm running two sapphire R290X on two different boards ( same problem on both)
38  Local / Mining (Deutsch) / Re: Black Screen bei HC 81 pro BTC & Sapphire R290x. on: January 29, 2014, 10:42:18 PM
Gemined werden Gridcoins.
Netzteil ist ein 1050W LC power.
settings im guiminer wie folgt.
threat concurrency: 24700
worksize: 512
intensity: 17
look up gap: 2

39  Local / Mining (Deutsch) / Black Screen bei HC 81 pro BTC & Sapphire R290x. on: January 29, 2014, 05:27:27 PM

Nichts geht mehr, also ausschalten.
Danke!
stefan
