21  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Holding Bitcoin a long time good way to make money? on: November 27, 2017, 03:47:51 AM
Holding of bitcoin is always good, cause you end up growing your fortune by yourself by holding. For a look at things, when the price of bitcoin was $200+, and one buys 4-5 of it and keeps it for a long time, by now that the price has gone up to $8k, hasn't such a person made to him/herself a great fortune. So, holding your bitcoin is always good, but selling at need time might come.
You're not wrong if you see the price of Bitcoin increases from $200 to $9,000. It's really the biggest bullish trending. But in the fact, you forget in this trending, the price of Bitcoin has many trouble to increases the value. Of course, sometimes, the price of Bitcoin has dumped a lot of value by some reason within short time and long time.

btc will hit 10k in no time!

Do you plan to sell on $10k, or you will wait more before selling? I do
not have plans for selling, I am making plans to buy more before reaching
that price. With $10K in no time, I think that I can hope for $20k in a year,
and in two years more.

Planning to sell whe the price reach at $10000. But i will sell some anytime if i need it right away.

I always love to sell when bitcoin pumps but some emergency purposes push me to sell my whatever the price is.

Needs are needs. Not every person can wait, nobody can not predict bad
life situation that force us to sell valuable things. Now I am in position to wait,
and I can cover myself, but if I am forced to do it I would sell everything I have
too. Money comes and goes, and I had situations in my life when I had to start
all over again.

25  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO PURCHASE BITCOIN? on: November 08, 2017, 04:54:04 AM
I'm worried that after November 16th bitcoin might fall after that. What do you guys think?
To keep it or sell before 16th?
Prices will rise higher than before 16 Nov because the altcoins are being sold off right now so everyone can get bitcoin in preparation for the fork. If you do not intend to hold long term, you should sell it and buy altcoins.

Sounds like a good plan. Although the price rose with Bitcoin Cash and then rose again after the "selloff". China is still out of the game right? There is no telling what is going to happen... I am in for the long haul shooting for 1Million value or at least a couple hundred thousand.
Guys, I actually have an interesting trading strategy with minimal risk right before the upcoming Fork, based on the previous Forks. Would be glad to hear your opinions about my idea:

26  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: buy btc now or wait the fork ? on: November 08, 2017, 04:47:20 AM
Hello
I decided to invest around 2400$ for a long term investment in BTC but the price is currently high. Should I buy now or I wait for the fork when price probably go down ? (I will invest in etoro so no exta coins will be obtained after the fork)

Why should you be confused, I think you can invest half your money before hardfork and again after hardfork, just to anticipate if after hardfork the btc price goes down and you can buy far in price before hardfork

I was wonderi g about the op's question and about what i would do
Because this is tricky so close to this new fork on the 16th, will the
price drop? Will it rise?

The strategy above i think is a good plan, its no harm to get into
the game anytime.

What is your strategy before the fork in the middle of next month. Do you buy up before the fork, or do you believe that it will fall in the aftermath of the fork, and therefore sell a bit off now?
This is both in relation to BTC and Altcoins

Hard forks are pretty much goldmines when you stock up a big balance and wait for the fork to happen. Shouldn't at all be afraid about price drops after a fork as we've seen two forks go by and Bitcoin has been swift on its way back to the top. So I would suggest only one thing: buy up and HODL and wait for money to roll in!
Yeah I think it is already too late to buy bitcoin before the hard fork, the price is way too high and it just keeps on going up, and there is no guaranties that buying now that the hard fork will be profitable, there goes to show you that planning ahead in trading and knowing what will happen in the market beforehand so you would know when to buy and when to sell, you can try for altcoins and then exchanging it but that market is unpredictable and could lead you to a loss if things does not go the way you want.

Hi guys,

new here, been reading a lot of tips & tricks and learning a lot from all you guys so thank you for that already!  Grin

About the upcoming Segwit2X BTC fork I was wondering what trading strategy you are considering. Given the past two forks of BCH and BTG, I assume:
1. The overpriced BTC goes immediately down after the fork and settles at near the 5k area (just an estimate).
2. The value from BTC flows mostly and directly to the altcoins.

As there is no way to accurately predict when block 494,784 is mined, there is a good chance some of us are sleeping (as I was during the BTG fork) while all this action takes place.
From logical perspective, I'd want to move my BTC to e.g. LTC/XRP/IOTA/.... almost instantly after the fork. Hereby I take my gains from BTC while also profiting from the increase in altcoin values. In a later stage, I will use the surplus from the alts so re-invest in BTC and end up with more than I have right now. However, as I will likely have most my BTC on my ledger and exchanges do not support consequential trade orders (e.g. (1) sell BTC, (2) buy XXX etc), this might prove difficult. Undecided

So.. What strategy will you be using?  Huh

I'll wait until the last 2 days for bitcoin fork. I mean I won't take action until there is 2 days left.

I'll watch altcoin market, if it decreases, this is a good sign for bitcoin.

I'll also try to follow the last news about upcoming fork. Will it be adopted by the celebrities of bitcoin community, or no. This is important.

Hi guys! I have few thoughts regarding the strategy for the upcoming Fork, would be glad to hear your opinion on the topic:

every smart contract can be by itself an escrow service. i see the use of this outside the ethereum infrastructure.
You cannot create a smart contract that takes into account all the scenarios and works absolutely autonomously, there is anyway a need in human in decision-making process.
