21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Unitus (UIS): 1st multi-auxPoW [X11/Blake/Skein/Qubit/Yescrypt] BlakeP2Pool Live on: January 05, 2015, 03:09:22 PM
Maybe I am a little slow but can someone tell me why in the OP there are two pools listed in the x11 merge mining but on the site they look like multipool's since there are only certain payout options available? Isn't the idea of merge mining that you mine multiple coins with the option to keep these coins and be paid it it's own wallet? Or am I blind and I missed these options on each pool.

Sorry for the delayed reply,  this is the last day I am out of town.

Your concern is valid,  they are indeed multipools. I will flag them as such in the pool list so people aren't misdirected to believe they will be paid out in Unitus.

Thank you for spotting this.

Unitus-Blake P2Pool has been tested and found two blocks - confirming it is working and operational.

Looks like the Twitter day traders have gotten UIS on their radar a little bit. Please be careful if you are going to invest or gamble by day trading UIS.

hi,neuroMode!
I can't access "http://nz.p2pool.geek.nz:51050/static"
Tell me the address and port number, thank you!!

For example:stratum+tcp://shares.blake256.com:3333 -u address -p x

My apologies. I think that p2pool is not working at the moment. I need to change the listing to temporarily out.

Blake :  http://shares.blake256.com/    working, but not Send uis coin  give the miners  ,shit

Yeah, definitely an issue you need to take up with the pool operator. If they continue to not payout I will remove them from the list.

No one can answer these questions?

You are going to have to ask the pool operator. That pool appears to be in beta, so likely everything isn't running smoothly.

Another coin algo uses qubit, ass q2c was without parents  Roll Eyes

Unitus uses auxPoW on all its algos, including Qubit. You can merge mine Unitus through Qubit. If any Qubit pools wish do enable merge mining with Unitus, let me know and I can add it to the Unitus pool list.

We now have a working tipping bot on Reddit. Unitus (UIS) tipping will executed by the Myriad tipping bot (/u/myrtipbot).

Guide

1) Send /u/myrtipbot a message with the following format:

Code:
to: myrtipbot
subject: info
message: +info

It should look like this:

2) Check your Reddit message inbox for a reply from /u/myrtipbot. You will be given a Unitus (UIS) address (and a MYR address). Send UIS to this address to be used for tipping.

It should look like this:

3) Once you have loaded UIS into your tipping account, tip other users by commenting on their post or comment with the following format (using a 10 UIS tip as an example):

Quote
+/u/myrtipbot 10 UIS

It should look like this (for a 10 UIS tip):

4a) If you have never received a UIS (or MYR) tip before: /u/myrtipbot will send you a message requiring that you "accept" the tip. This effectively creates your account. To accept the tip, click the "accept" link provided by /u/myrtipbot in the message. The format should look like this:

Code:
to: myrtipbot
subject: accept
message: +accept

Note: I don't have a screenshot available for this step.

4b) If you have received a UIS (or MYR) tip before: /u/myrtipbot will send you a message showing the amount and user who tipped you. Your UIS is automatically deposited into your tipping account for later tipping use or withdrawal. The message will look like this:

5) To withdraw UIS to another address, send /u/myrtipbot a message with the following format:

Code:
to: myrtipbot
subject: withdraw
message: +withdraw [i]ADDRESS AMOUNT[/i] UIS

It should look like this (for a 10 UIS withdraw):

Merge mining on the X11 Algo does not seem to work properly for me, 6 out of 10 blocks are "rejected" with a strange error

Code:
ReadCompactSize() : size too large

Maybe the Dev has an idea ?

What does the daemons debug log say? I've noticed it limits the number of consecutive blocks per algo, got an error too many blocks from same algo during some of my tests.

The daemon's log say nothing at all unfortunately.. It not even mentions the getauxblock call...

I tried to compare the merged mining integration with established coins like doge, namecoin, via but was even more confused than before, lots of stuff used in other coins is simply commented out at all and much things still mention scrypt:

https://github.com/unitusdev/unitus/blob/master/src/main.cpp#L2346

https://github.com/unitusdev/unitus/blob/master/src/main.cpp#L2065

I'm not sure from which coin the merge mining stuff was taken... Tried to get hold of the dev through the mods.. To no avail currently..

Its surely not bitcoin 0.10 ... It would look like this then:

https://github.com/viacoin/seeder/blob/master/serialize.h

not like this

https://github.com/unitusdev/unitus/blob/master/src/serialize.h

It seems to work sometimes though.. Might be that it simply rejects Blocks from the same algo when too many have been mined on that chain - yes .. But I cannot find that part in the code...

is there any interest to get this stuff fixed or doesn't it matter ?

*lol*

People are merge mining with X11. Not sure what the problem is. I'll pass it on to the dev.

Still working on frontend for new pool interface, but when it's ready in a few days, Unitus will be on it as our first merged mined coin.

If any cpu miners would like to help test our merged mining stratum implementation please send me a pm!

Awesome!
