May I ask how development will be funded?
There is no premine and I don't see any info about dev fee.
self funded through my personal funds. I have a solid amount of disposable income set aside for this. Ummm, interesting. Forgive me my nosiness, but there must be some kind of financial benefit for you if it's not ICO, dev fee or premine. A year from now, will you still be interested in working on this project? And if so, why? I am in school currently, so work on this project will be continuous over a few years. I receive payment for my schoolwork from the government and I also work a night job to pay for development. This allows me to operate on my own schedule without having to worry about pressure from investors. That's why there is no ico pr dev fee. Once the smart contract loan protocol is complete, it will extract a fee to support the system, but the traditional blockchain for initial coin distribution will always be 100% fair launch and self funded. |

Yes we are ready. Binaries are compiled for ubuntu, mac and windows. Our pool provider requested a Monday launch so everything will be available for download on github at launch. |

Hey guys, I've been trying to generate a new merkle root and genesis block using the proton codebase (Which is essentially the dash codebase). I haven't changed any parameters and I have removed the checkpoints. If I straight up compile it I get a core dump when running but no valid merkle root is generated or recorded in the debug.log. There is a section of code that is commented out that seems to be used for the generation of a new genesis block but I'm not entirely sure what it does. https://pastebin.com/yVYjj348 <--- link to commented out code. That's very graciousness of you. While I wouldn't say your admission now makes you a giant among men  , it's a step forward in the right direction. The old Wyvern code still lives on as a PoS deadcoin. Perhaps it could be repurposed to a better use? Unfortunately NIST5 is ASIC territory now, so I would require a hard fork to a different algo. I've been looking at the x16r algo used by ravencoin. Seems interesting, although I doubt I'd try to resurrect the old wyvern chain. Protinam has done a good thing with wyvern and I won't interfere with it. I already handed over the domain/remaining dev fund and OpenSea is also using the wyvern protocol now so it's gaining some traction. I'm still interested in development, but I have some new personal rules and a few things to work through before I would consider jumping back in. Everything I do from now on will be self funded 100%. |

From what I have read the x16r also is being promoted as a shifting algorithm. Does the algo actually change actively or will it just be changed via fork later down the line?

not quite sure how you can judge this as a scam. How would you plan to raises funds to get on an exchange listing? a decent exchange will start at 1 BTC for CryptoBridge, 4 for coinexchange adn almost 12 for Cryptopia. All decent exchanges cost money. If you can give me a better way to do this then I am all ears. Maybe using your own money... Trust me I've been down the ico road, it didn't end well. I will strictly use my own money for projects from now on. |

and she's back up! this is such a genuine project, deserves a whole lot bigger marketcap, buckle up! BTC is like a roller coaster right now. Altcoin volatility is a byproduct of that. |
