21  Other / Politics & Society / Re: More Peaceful World through CryptoCurrencies? on: May 24, 2018, 08:00:45 AM
I'd like to be positive and say that virtual currencies (as long as it comes with certain regulations), can indeed promote peace. With its many benefits, including greater speed and efficiency in making payments and transfers (regardless of location), and ultimately promoting financial inclusion. It's democracy at its best.
22  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as the currency of the future? on: May 24, 2018, 07:44:14 AM
After reading countless articles about bitcoin and cryptocurrency, it is difficult to assume it would be bitcoin that would be THE currency of the future. What is certain though, as we pave the way for a digital or virtual world as experts predict, cryptoccurency is definitely part of that future.
23  Other / Off-topic / Re: Reincarnation on: May 24, 2018, 07:05:23 AM
Have you considered looking at it with a technological perspective? There are plans of allowing humans to extend their lives via virtual reality. A book entitled Virternity: The Quest for a Virtual Eternity by David Evans Bailey explains it better.

24  Other / Politics & Society / Re: World population is very small. on: May 24, 2018, 06:49:54 AM
We are in fact, overpopulated. This accounts for most of our environmental issues such as global warming and shortage of resources. The survival of Earth, our home, is at stake.
25  Other / Politics & Society / Water Shortage in England on: May 24, 2018, 06:22:27 AM
A recent story published on BBC, reports that the Environment Agency has warned England about facing water supply shortages by 2050 unless rapid action is taken to lessen water use and wastage. The report indicates that enough water to meet the needs of 20 million people is lost through leakage every day. Aside from the leakage, population growth and the impact of climate change are also contributing to supply pressures.

Wastage of water, coupled with other pressing environmental issues should be addressed immediately before destruction of our planet takes place.

Are you ready to experience drought in the near future?

26  Other / Politics & Society / Earth’s Greatest Threats on: May 24, 2018, 05:45:50 AM
A National Geographic article accurately describes the state of our planet through outlining the major issues present every Earth Day since 1970. Environmental issues began with pesticides causing death in bald eagles and soot darkening our atmosphere. This year, it’s not just the awareness of plastic use imperiling the earth that is brought up. Today’s worsening environmental issues are apparently, a culmination of all the groundwork humanity has laid over the past two hundred years.

Habitat loss and climate change are the most pressing issues we are facing today, and one can’t help but fear the seemingly inevitable destruction of our planet.

I believe we have every right to question humanity’s emotional connection to the natural world.
27  Other / Off-topic / Virtual Reality Makes Space Tourism Possible on: May 24, 2018, 05:08:00 AM
One of the UK’s leading publications The Guardian, has published an article explaining how anyone can soon experience being a space tourist –a virtual reality astronaut who can see our home planet from above. UK-based immersive content studio Rewind and space industry experts at In-Space Missions have launched SpaceTime Enterprises which are set to launch multiple satellites that will broadcast real-time immersive video of the entire Earth viewed via virtual reality goggles. The first satellite is scheduled for launch in September 2019.

Offering this incredible experience to the masses is a huge step forward for virtual reality and its impact on science, art and basically our everyday lives.

This supports the increased attention society is paying, towards this promising technological advancement.
28  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government and Bitcoin on: May 23, 2018, 01:07:02 AM
Governments should seriously consider legalizing cryptocurrencies as methods of payment in order to encourage their wider use for transactions, increased security and ultimately, recognition at a universal level. It is vital that the government adapts to the signs of the times.

29  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ways to improve Bitcoin Community on: May 23, 2018, 12:28:54 AM
Awareness promotes awareness.  If more people understand how Bitcoin’s blockchain tech truly is a revolutionary breakthrough and see its many potential applications, then others will likely be sold on the idea as well. Even if they don’t invest right away, at least it plants a viable seed for continuous dialogue.

30  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investment Strategy on: May 23, 2018, 12:19:17 AM
An aspect rarely discussed when it comes to investments is emotion. I think it’s crucial to be able to manage one’s emotions when its comes to investing. One needs to be prepared to see big swings in the cryptocurrency market. There’s a certain level of maturity that’s necessary in order to cope with bitcoin’s volatility.

31  Other / Off-topic / Re: Be careful what you wish for.. on: May 22, 2018, 12:55:08 AM
Well, one could always hope. But I doubt it is possible for everyone to get rich, realistically speaking. Bitcoin can be a gold mine for others, sure. But it isn't the end all be all for success.
32  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin: is it the coin of the future ? on: May 22, 2018, 12:34:59 AM
Bitcoin's market share is dropping because there are lots of other currencies entering the the crypto world. So despite it's growing acceptance and value,  it's too soon to say if bitcoin will be "the coin" of the future.
33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bubbles a good thing? on: May 21, 2018, 04:50:05 AM
Depends on your perspective. Bubbles bring attention and investors to an idea that would otherwise not have seen the light of day. It will certainly make room to breed innovation and champion progress. They can also provide lots of opportunity for profit (for those who like to take risks). For some, bubbles create doubt and insecurity. This proves that no one has a crystal ball and can predict how the markets perform.
34  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the best hardware wallet on: May 21, 2018, 03:27:49 AM
The Ledger Nano S for me. Here, bitcoins are stored and are kept secure with the use of a microchip and a PIN code. Outgoing transactions will require button presses, so even if your computer was infected with malware, it could not move coins without your permission.
35  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Market Manipulation on: May 21, 2018, 03:20:51 AM
I think market manipulation is possible. Perhaps, this is were regulation should come in? When a thousand people own half of the outstanding bitcoin and with this such massive concentration, it's very easy for insiders to manipulate the currency for their own benefit.
36  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Samsung has now entered the cryptocurrency world on: May 18, 2018, 05:46:24 AM
Great news. This will certainly open doors for more retail giants to to adopt cryptocurrency.
37  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reasons why Bitcoin is droping: on: May 18, 2018, 05:29:51 AM
Rumors of hacking as well as irregularities in trade will affect bitcoin's value.
38  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Goverment is not recommending to use digital currency such a bitcoin? on: May 18, 2018, 04:44:16 AM
Governments see bitcoin as a threat because it contradicts their ability to collect taxes on transactions, and law enforcements' ability to fight crime transacted in a said cryptocurrency.
39  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin is a hard investment for the working class on: May 18, 2018, 04:32:04 AM
Bitcoin's challenges is not correspondent to one's class. Success will depend on one's diligence, patience and discipline.

40  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Depending your future in bitcoin... on: May 18, 2018, 04:23:52 AM
Bitcoin truly is a worthy investment. But don't put all your eggs in one basket. Diversify your assets and investments for higher security.
