21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it risky to invest in new crytpo coin/tokens??? on: April 11, 2021, 12:15:26 PM
If you enter the world of cryptocurrency always bare in mind that there are risks in investing. Not only with new crypto coins but also with old existing ones. Of course, new crypto coins are much more risky since the data and information about that coin lacks in number. You wont be able to properly interpret or forecast its outcome. I guess the only way to determine if a coin is good to invest in, if you give it some time. Dont just throw your money in some sketchy coin that just got released.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Deflationary Tokens on: April 08, 2021, 03:04:29 PM
The creation of deflationary tokens is to prevent the market from being flooded with excess tokens as more are mined, created, or sold off by the creators. Is it worth it to invest in? No. The reason why is because projects with deflationary tokens has no clear end goal. Most deflationary token projects aren’t running ICOs, instead, they seem to be running airdrops and referral schemes.
23  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin wasn’t created to make you rich. It was created to make you free on: April 08, 2021, 02:52:48 PM
My thoughts exactly. Fiat money is controlled by the government, so what you do with the money is actually your footprints in every step that you take. Every trasaction is recorded so there isnt anonymity. Unlike bitcoin, it gives you control of your "savings". What you do with it depends on you alone. Moreover, your identity is practically secured, transactions just consist of your wallet address. Bitcoin isnt made to be "just" a coin, it gives the user freedom and control of the coins that they own.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Forget bounties and Airdrops on: April 08, 2021, 02:45:35 PM
Those are definitely good options to earn more than airdrops and bounty hunting, but you see, not all of us has access, let alone the skills to do those kinds of stuff. It would be nice to learn how but there arent that many sources to learn from. Bounty hunting and airdrops are the easiest to earn crypto, while those three choices require IT skills for you to properly do the job. Yes, the amount of pay that you'll receive is higher, but unfortunately not all of us can do that.
25  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin mining in Texas - new trend - will Tesla follow on: April 07, 2021, 12:40:45 PM
Because texas provides inexpensive electricity costs that no other place can provide, it was such an opportune moment for bitcoin miners to use this as a place to conduct operations. Bitcoin miners will definitelt benefit from the renewable energy, such as solar panels or windmills, that could further cut costs. Tesla on the other hand, is working on a new project in texas, not bitcoin related but it has something to do with lithium hydroxide. I dont know if Tesla would follow in bitcoin mining, but knowing Elon Musk, it is possible.
26  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you use bitcoin? on: April 07, 2021, 12:19:16 PM
I havent directly used bitcoin as a mode of payment because there are little to no businesses that accept bitcoin. What I do is I convert a portion of my bitcoin to Fiat, for me to purchase the goods and services that I want. The country that I live in hasnt widely adopted bitcoin so this is the only use that I can think of.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP is pumping now. on: April 07, 2021, 12:11:59 PM
Took a long time for it to increase in price, but XRP still didnt exceed its 3 dollar spike. It is good that it is close to reaching 1 dollar but i dont think this is such a good investment. There are other coins out there that is worth investing in such as ETH and Bitcoin, but of course it is much more pricey than XRP. This is just my personal opinion, I can be wrong in the next few years because the price in the market is really unpredictable. You can choose to invest in XRP if you want to.
28  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which plan seems better? on: April 07, 2021, 03:43:01 AM
Plan A is better in my opinion, but what i suggest is to put 70 30. 70% on bitcoins and 30% in ETH. It is better to invest in bitcoin rather than altcoin considering its difference in demand and value. I do recommend for you to buy on dips, the lower the better. Im confident that bitcoin and ETH would rise again, whenever they dip, they always do. Just keep on holding those coins until the next spike.
29  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Marvel featuring Bitcoin!!😀 on: April 06, 2021, 01:20:25 PM
Bitcoin has recently made waves to the public, now people are more aware of the digital currency than ever before. I guess this all started with the increase in value. Of course, anyone would be interested in a coin that is valued at such a high price. Im glad that Marvel has now recognized bitcoin and has even featured it on falcon and the winter soldier, soon there will be numerous companies, institutions, businesses that will start to invest in bitcoin. Will this have a huge impact on bitcoin? Popularity, yes. Price? Let's just see in the following years.
30  Economy / Economics / Re: What's Next? After Bitcoin Passes The 60K Mark...... on: April 06, 2021, 01:13:15 PM
Bitcoin is slowly being adapted globally, atleast it's in progress. There arent that many companies, institutions, corporations, or even small businesses that accept bitcoin. The truth is we're still dependent on Fiat money, because it is much more accessible. This doesnt mean that bitcoin is just for speculation though, it has proven many uses, it has value and can be purchased for certain goods and services (establishments that accept bitcoin as payment) for now it's advisable to HODL until bitcoin becomes the norm in tramsactions and payments.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt season NOw on: April 06, 2021, 01:08:30 PM
I have watched youtube videos and they have predicted back in 2017 tas altcoin season  will indeed begin this year in april. I've researched about the altcoin season and stumbled upon an article. Yesterday, April 5, the market cap of cryptocurrency tops $2 trillion for the first time in its young-but-distinguished history.

"The latest milestone was driven by huge rallies in the alt markets. Ethereum (ETH) soared past the $2,000 level it briefly surpassed a month ago and appears to be holding this time. It comes amidst a wave of bullish statements from the likes of Mark Cuban, and continued interest in NFTs and DeFi which are primarily built on Ethereum." This is stated in the cityam website
32  Economy / Economics / Re: Why should i invest in bitcoin or other cryptos ? on: April 05, 2021, 12:38:32 PM
Are the benefits not obvious in bitcoin? It would help you increase your assets, just by leaving it in your wallet for a few years without even doing anything. Bitcoin runs ina a digital platform, while your explanation is aimed on physical property. Those two are completely different. Bitcoin, while it may have an unstable price, is still good to invest in because of its potential to grow through the years. A land, if you leave it for several years will start to grow weeds does it not? What if it's in hectares? You'll start to spend money for maintenance. If you turn it into a plantation, there are still costs such as the salary for those who will work on it. In bitcoin the only thing that you'll have to worry about is the fees
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Online Education, the future of learning? on: April 05, 2021, 12:32:05 PM
There are already institutions using digital coins for fees and such, I dont know if it is legit. Though not many schools are aware of the blockchain, they still rely on Fiat money. For now, I dont think blockchains are used for online learning, maybe some, but it would just be in a small number. For schools to use the blockchain, both groups should be educated on it (students and the school personnel) so that they can use it in its full potential
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Low volume coins good for investment now? on: April 04, 2021, 11:59:58 AM
No, with such a low volume says a lot about the coin. Not many are enthusiastic which means the demand remains stagnant. There's a very low chance that it will increase in value. Dont invest in low volume coins, this will result in losses that you'll regret later on. If you invest on a coin, you should also conduct a through research of its goals and uses, as well as relevant information that will help you decide whether the coin is worth it. A low volume is just one of the many reasons not to invest on it.
35  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Risks of instituations holding bitcoin on: April 04, 2021, 11:48:32 AM
It is said on the article that institutions and retail buys are balanced, for now it isnt a big risk. However, when institutions start to buy loads of bitcoins, the holdings that they have would be a potential risk to the bitcoin market and that it would result to rehypothecation. Ben lilly even said that he is worried that rehypothecation will take place off the blockchain. It's the non-transparent entities selling or lending the same piece of collateral twice. This type of behavior is what leads to vulnerabilities
36  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin, the institutional coin on: April 04, 2021, 11:36:31 AM
I dont think bitcoin would be an "institutional coin". If you put it like that, it gives the impression that bitcoin will mostly be of use to instititions, when in reality it is for everyone. Bitcoin can be used by companies, corporations, even small businesses and small investors. This is why the government fears bitcoin because of its viability. It has the same characteristics as fiat in terms of monetary value, but with much more freedom dor its users. I can see that institutions would use bitcoin, but it wouldnt just be limited to that.
37  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin difficult to understand on: April 01, 2021, 12:51:40 PM
There are already courses presented on the world of cryptocurrency. There are numerous articles on bitcoin, as well as videos and news that would inform them of the crypto market's current state. Bitcoin is difficult to understand at first, but if you find the time to educate yourself and conduct some thorough research you will be able to understand the do's and dont's when it comes to investing in cryptocurrencies. Though it would help a lot if you have a friend or someone that you know of that can teach you all about bitcoins.
38  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If You Buy btc Today and cash out one year on: April 01, 2021, 12:44:27 PM
Depends on the situation. There are times that bitcoin will dip, to the point that you'll start to worry about the huge investments that you've made on that particular coin. Not moving your assets is a good thing though, and holding them until the next spike is the way to go. However, when bitcoin starts to dip it takes a really long time for it to recover and reach its peak, or even to go beyond the last spike value. Though I am certain bitcoin, despite it's fluctuating value, will always recover from dips, so my advice is to buy more bitcoins when the price starts to decrease and hold onto that coins until the next increase.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Here's Why Ethereum Could Beat Bitcoin As Best Asset Of 2021 on: April 01, 2021, 12:33:58 PM
I beg to differ. While ethereum has a number of uses, it can't topple down bitcoin. Ethereum's use is different from bitcoin, despite having similar characteristics, Bitcoin is a store of value while Ethereum has a huge computing network which enables anybody to build a decentralized application. Ethereum has several competitors, those that are capable of overthrowing etheruem as the 2nd best crypto. I cant see ethereum as the number one asset of 2021. Moreover bitcoin will continue to prosper for several years without the fear of being overthrown, since this is the first digital coin to be ever made and there are still several potential investors eyeing this cryptocurrency
40  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PayPal created crypto checkout service!! on: March 31, 2021, 12:04:20 PM
Since the start of the pandemic many people are leaning towards digital payments (contactless transactions) it's the perfect time for cryptocurrencies to step into the spotlight. This year has been great to crypto, Elon Musk with bitcoin, the value increase, and now paypal. Paypal is the perfect way for newbies to get to know the three leading coins in the market which is bitcoin, litecoin, and ethereum. Moreover, it will be more easy for people to use these three coins in transactions, since paypal is the digital wallet that is usually required to do online payments.
