21  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The person who can’t control emotions in gambling will never earn money from it on: February 13, 2024, 08:21:11 PM
With due respect, @OP, but I disagree with your title, the possibility of winning in gambling is not determined by the bettors emotions. Even if a gambler is emotional or not, they can still be lucky to win some of their bet.

What happens is that if a gambler becomes too emotional during gambling, it could cause them to gamble recklessly by staking more money than their budget, and theycan still end up losing all that money. Even while gambling with emotions, they might still get lucky to win a few games, but if they keep on chasing losses, that's what can cause them to lose every dollar they had.

Like someone already mentioned, gambling must not be seen as a source of income; otherwise,  it will never be able to give the individual the amount of money they expect to win, and it can cause them to become addicted gamblers.
There is no difference between being emotional and being too emotional while gambling. Even if a person is emotional at the beginning of their gambling experience, it can still have an impact on how they usually play. If they become too emotional, it can only make things worse. Being emotional might help you win if you are lucky, but luck is not always on your side. Therefore, you cannot rely on being lucky whether you are emotional or not.
22  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: While placing bet what comes your mind on: February 12, 2024, 08:24:56 PM
Of course, that has been experienced by almost every gambler. Moreover, if their level of confidence is high, it is possible that it will cross their minds to increase their bet in the hope that the results will match their feelings.
But is it a sign of addiction? I think that could be possible, because it will make people continue to look for funds to be able to prove their feeling of beating gambling.
I also often experience this, but fortunately I can still endure it, because I realize that self-confidence is not enough to win at gambling.
By increasing the amount of your wager already a sign of addiction? That can't be right. This is only a sign of being greedy. Addiction is a different thing for some who experience it by playing non-stop and keep thinking about gambling. Even without money, the only thing they have in mind is gambling. Increasing the amount of your bet is only a sign of being greedy because you assume more winning by trying your luck.
23  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Management on: February 12, 2024, 08:02:24 PM
Is this strategy effective for you? If it helps you to avoid losses, it is a good strategy. Or if you withdraw your initial money, are you losing the game if you use your profit to gamble? One time I tried this, but I ended up losing all my profits in the end. Personally, I prefer to keep my initial money in my wallet and if I continue the game, I limit my betting amount until my balance reaches my initial money.
24  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where Do You Want To Go To If You Win $2 million On Lottery on: February 12, 2024, 07:39:02 PM
I prefer to stay in my home country, specifically in the province. Ever since I started working, I have wanted to purchase land in my province and build a small farm. I feel like I am really suited to living in the province and living a quiet life. If I ever win a huge amount, it would make my dream a reality. That amount is more than enough to fulfill my dream.
25  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My first Bitcoin on: February 11, 2024, 12:47:45 PM

Long time ago I was working so hard to buy Bitcoin but I couldn't because I had no job, but starting from this
month of January I have gotten a new job that pays me 5 figures a month and I just use $110 from my salary to buy Bitcoin,so as today is the last day of the month I just bought Bitcoin with part of my salary.
However, I bought it from a 3rd party through the help of a co-worker at my working place.

So, is it safe for me to store my coin there or is there any other wallet I can use to store my coins? I know of electron but apart from the electron is there any other wallet which is safe?.
My profile shows that I am still new on Bitcointalk and I would say with my actions I am very interested in learning more about the accumulation process so I can gain more Bitcoin.
I remembered my first investment in Bitcoin. At first, I was hesitant to buy because I didn't have enough money and thought I might use the money to purchase my first Bitcoin investment. That time, I made a gamble and invested my very first Bitcoin.

I congratulate you on your investment, you made the right decision. For the safety of your Bitcoin, use another wallet. I'm using Exodus because I am holding other altcoins. If you are holding only Bitcoin, use Electrum, it is safe.
26  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A student investing in bitcoin? on: February 11, 2024, 12:26:59 PM
You are lucky to know about bitcoin when you are still young, so you can collect a little money to buy bitcoin, but the most important thing in investing in bitcoin is never force yourself to use your only money, also think about how you spend each day, because if you run out of money then you can be sure you will only sell the bitcoin you have if you don't have any other money.
I suggest you use the DCA concept to accumulate the bitcoins you have, you can buy them regularly, and set your target price, so you can more freely manage your finances.
Having investment knowledge and experience from a younger age is quite a fit that many, I mean many many of the populace did not happen to fall in that category. Having investment knowledge and successfully implementing it are a two different things in my opinion as the later has to do with series of hands-on and consistent testing in order to build the required market confidence and experience. BTW when you say OP is lucky to know about Bitcoin when he's still young, what age do you presume him to be?
According to the OP, he began attending college in 2022, which implies that he might currently be in his third year of studies. As a student, if you happen to have knowledge of investment or how to begin investing, you are fortunate. This is because you have started on a path that many of us here may have missed out on, particularly when it comes to investing in Bitcoin.
27  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have a habit of tracking your gambling progress? on: February 11, 2024, 12:04:16 PM
Do you have a habit of tracking your gambling progress?
Yes, I keep track of my gambling activity in my own way, in addition to the stats shown in the online casino. I began doing this out of curiosity, to find out if I was actually making money every time I won. Initially, I thought I was winning, but to my surprise, my losses were actually higher than my winnings.
28  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Marvin Favis na scam? on: February 10, 2024, 06:04:17 PM

30  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Tataas Kaya Ang Awareness Ng MgaTao Sa Bitcoin Kung May Mga Billboard on: February 10, 2024, 04:16:46 PM
31  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Coins.ph's USDC HODL and Earn Program on: February 07, 2024, 09:39:17 AM

Celebrate 10 years of Coins.ph with 10% on USDC
Example 10k USDC ang ilagay, malaki agad makukuha weekly.
32  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wrong Moves With Your Bitcoin on: February 07, 2024, 08:58:16 AM
I made a big mistake in the past. Whenever the Bitcoin price went down, I used to sell my holdings immediately, hoping to buy them back at a lower price. But this strategy didn't work for me and I ended up losing money. It became frustrating, so I stopped holding Bitcoin altogether. Unfortunately, I missed out on the big price increase that happened later.
That's why learning is so valuable because in the end things like this will always happen if we don't learn from our mistakes and don't understand your true purpose for being in bitcoin because the focus is only a short profit without knowing that it will actually make yourself feel very bad.
This needs to be a good lesson because after all when you still continue to do that even though it has been proven that selling when the price drops and hoping it will go even lower so you can buy is a reckless act and this always happens to those who are new to bitcoin.

Currently the most important condition is not how capable you can buy and sell but the real test is how strong we are in holding bitcoin when something like that happens.
Yes, because of my past experience, I have become interested in learning about cryptocurrency. I do not want to repeat the same mistake I made before. From that experience, I learned the dos and don'ts of investment, which made me more patient and better able to avoid or control FOMO.
33  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Tataas Kaya Ang Awareness Ng MgaTao Sa Bitcoin Kung May Mga Billboard on: February 07, 2024, 08:36:14 AM
Cheesy
34  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Tataas Kaya Ang Awareness Ng MgaTao Sa Bitcoin Kung May Mga Billboard on: February 06, 2024, 09:54:26 PM
Currently pag nag iikot ako sa Edsa to monumento ang nakikita ko lang most likely promotions ni Maya tapos si Angkas pero si Gcash regarding with their feature sa crypto is wala pa, pero parang wala nga silang engagement masyado dito sa crypto or bitcoin itself, kasi if meron feel ko magiging notice din sila lalo dito or possible issue pa nga madalas alam nyo naman pag nakikita nila isang bagay umuusbong biglang may papasok para mag against dito. Mas effective pa din ang social media now than billboard.
35  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Anung estimate price ninyo pagdating ng bitcoin halving on: February 06, 2024, 09:18:03 PM

Sabi nga nga iba, aabutin ng ilang buwan o possible a year bago maganap ang ATH. Depende pa dito ang mga posibleng positive news na maaaring dumating sa Bitcoin, kung sakali man na dumating ito, malamang mas maaga natin makikita ang new ATH.

37  Economy / Economics / Re: The savings problem on: February 05, 2024, 11:45:21 PM
Young people wont really be minding about savings or in  related with investment considering that they are still that highly dependent from their parents. Lucky for you if you do have  wealthy family then it wont really be that much a problem for you to mind on but if you are on middle class or poor ones then it would really be just that right that you should really be mindful as early as possible. You would really be needing to be that wise
on trying out to build on what your future would be. If you wont really be that making yourself making such step then expect that you wont really be seeing progress in your life.

This is why it would really be that important that you should really be mindful about the things that you are dealing with. Avoid on being a spender even into your younger days because
you would really be able to feel out that you should be saving it up instead on the time you do spend up that much.
The younger generation must change their thinking about the importance of saving for the future. Currently, many young people rely on their parents' income and in comfort zone without thinking about saving or investing in the future. Still not have pressure and responsibility with their family is easily for young people allocated several percent of their salary for saving fund or put it in investment assets with bitcoin or other investment kinds.

Get difficult money management controlling later when having family although get higher salary payment, don't make comfortable position when having family support us financial but make its opportunity as the way for saving or investment when receiving payment from salary. Can't guarantee with smooth income in the future and have chance for saving money better allocate it for several percent when losing job has saving assets in the Bank.
I'm not sure about your country, but in our country, many younger people are concerned about saving enough for their future. Some opt to invest or start their own business. It's not uncommon for people to achieve success at a young age, including influencers who become famous and decide to launch their own ventures to secure their future.
38  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Another health benefit of online gambling on: February 05, 2024, 11:15:13 PM
My neighbor has tuberculosis and from the information I gathered from a reliable source, his case is so severe. He is at the lung cavitation stage of the disease and he has been advised to avoid overcrowded environments for his health and the safety of others. But my neighbor who is a responsible gambler will always visit physical betting shops. Some physical gambling shops in my area are poorly ventilated and they could be overcrowded and stuffy. Sometimes you could see that he is struggling to remain in the casino shop and such cases he would be coughing heavily. I have told him to focus on online gambling but he told me that he is more entertained in physical bet shops.

Betting with online gambling firms will shield you from contracting communicable diseases because you are all alone in a comfortable atmosphere. My neighbor's behavior has made me focus only on crypto casinos because I am scared of my health. Don't get me wrong there are many well-built and very comfortable physical casinos that offer quality services, but when you are an online gambler you will not need to worry about the health concerns of fellow gamblers.
Your neighbor's health is of paramount importance. Recommend that he seek medical attention immediately if he has not already done so. Suggest that he consult a doctor about safe public places, including gambling establishments, to minimize the risk to himself and others. Not all gambling establishments are the same: Do your research and choose safe places with good air circulation, good hygiene and control over the number of people. Explain to him that there is an alternative: Explore licensed and regulated online gambling platforms that prioritize safety and responsible gambling. Also Consider organizing home online poker tournaments. This can provide a safe and supervised alternative to public gambling venues, while maintaining an element of entertainment and social interaction
According to the OP, his neighbor has been advised by a doctor to avoid crowded places due to a health condition. However, the neighbor seems to prioritize playing in a physical casino over his health. The OP suggests that the neighbor should consider using online casinos to continue gambling while avoiding crowded places and socializing with others.
39  Economy / Speculation / Re: Best time to buy BTC NOW? on: February 05, 2024, 10:44:57 PM
The best time was at the end of 2022. But as it is impossible to know, the best thing to do is to buy little by little at an average price, the famous DCA. It is impossible to know tops and bottoms, they are always probabilities.

I agree, best time was at the end of 2022. Nevertheless, sometimes it is better to make a big one-time investment, unless you make it at the cycle top, but over time that might be better than DCA
and for some there was a better time five years ago. At least before the haliving, you can buy at any price since there is no big rush and demand at the moment. It is not necessary to buy a large sum at once; many people now take a little at a time and thus save and In the future, it will be a good idea to increase balance. This is a better tactic than simply waiting for the best moment to buy.
That only applies to those who were unable to purchase Bitcoin at a lower value. And yes, it's best to buy at any price now. There's no need to buy in bulk, just purchase regularly until the halving event. This way, we can still make a profit in the long run.

Enjoying life while young kahit enough lang ang ipin or ipon hard now then enjoy later once matanda na basta ensured na financially?
