My hashrate for YAC has gone from about 7.5kh/s to 1.9kh/s. So, about 25% of the previous rate.
My 7950 GPU results are similar--about 25% of what it was. 8.41 kh/s to 2.12 kh/s.

This is kind of freaky. While reading through these messages, my cell phone starts ringing...yep it's 1-866-723-3108. I didn't answer because I'm done with BFL. I ordered my Jalapeno on 1 April (April fool's day--I should have known) when the website gave me the impression that delivery would be in a couple months, then I sent more $$ for the 2G upgrade when it came out. My Jalapeno arrived less than two weeks ago (taking over 6 1/2 months vs 2 months). As most everyone knows, difficulty has exponentially exploded and there's zero chance of ever recouping costs. So my first purchase is my only purchase I will ever make with BFL. I think the only way to make money from BFL would be if the company went public...short their stock.

Maybe this is a bit off topic, but I'd actually like to see a fourth market on Cryptsy. Right now there's three: BTC, LTC and XPM, all of which are POW type crypto coins. I have no way to know what the future will actually hold, but my gut tells me that the POS energy saving idea has merit and therefore I would like to see a PPC market. My guess is that someday in the not-to-distant future PPC will overtake LTC as the primary alternative to BTC (again these are just thoughts from someone lacking any expertise). I wouldn't even be totally shock if in the more distant future PPC becomes a serious competitor to BTC. But I may be totally wrong on all these thoughts.
Anyway, as a now shareholder in Cryptsy, I would be interested in trading on a PPC market.

Is there any program or way to where i can single out block erupters to mine different alt coins. For example: Running 16 BE's , have 4 mine ASC , 4 mine ZET and 8 mining BTC. All from the same computer.
I tried to search the forum, but couldn't find any information on it. Might not have searched for the right key words.
If someone could at least point me in the right direction.
Thanks in advance.
I don't know of a way to specifically set each BE to mine a particular coin, but if you're using bfgminer you can set three pools and then set the pool management to balance. This would effectively be doing the same thing. Since you want 8 BE's mining Bitcoin, you may have to set up 4 pools: two of them BTC, one ZET and one ASC.

Perhaps this will be a CPU mined coin after all. And that's how it should be after all! 'Cause that is horribly efficient... you DO realize CPU hashrate took a dive as well, right? Yes, but apparently not as badly as the GPU. Unless there are better settings, as of right now my GPU took a 75% hit (66 to 17 kh/s), but my CPU only took a 40% hit (from 2.5 to 1.5 kh/s).

... hitting just under 9k/sec on a 7950... maybe once the difficulty drops quite a bit we can get somewhere like after the last drop... it's gonna take a couple weeks though and network hashrate is under 1 meg...
So maybe it's not just me. I'm getting about 17 kh/sec total with a system containing two 7950 (was getting 66 kh/s before the change) and figured something must be wrong with my settings. Is anyone doing better than 9kh/sec per 7950? Perhaps this will be a CPU mined coin after all.

Okay, I'm clueless (as usual). So which chain is the official chain? Is it the tallest?

Right now I just cannot believe how flippant and how much Lollaskates seems to not care.
He seems to have the "its just happened, so get over it" attitude which I find disgusting, this is other peoples coins/money we are talking about here.
I am never going to have anything to do with Lollaskates after this, his ignore button just got pressed.
Unfortunately there are individuals with no honor. Saying you're responsible for the mistake as Lollaskates did, but then essentially implying "so what, you shouldn't have trusted me to operate the pool in an appropriate fashion, so it's your own fault and I'm sleeping fine with no guilty feelings for your loss" is not taking responsibility or having any honor. It's a rather despicable attitude. But considering what others lost, I was lucky and only lost a few hundred coins. No big deal. Ironically I had been taking out coins at 50 coin intervals, but recently decided to be cheap and cut transaction expenses by turning off automatic withdrawals. Turns out that decision was more expensive

FYI, someone is selling what is claimed to be a USB block erupter capable of over 300MH/s for Quark. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=289655.0Since Quark and Sifcoin (may be SecureCoin as well?) are very similar, if ASIC works for Quark, the other may be in the same boat. Hummmm, the auction was in Quark (as form unit of currency for the auction). The USB Block Erupter itself was not capable of mining Quark. The seller just wanted to be paid in Quark.

As for the pool, I have contacted the owner but have heard nothing back. I might have to remove the pool from the OP and website.
That's disappointing to hear. I was leaving coins in that pool to reduce the transaction costs of constantly moving them into my wallet. I figured it would be better to move them in a few large lumps rather than many small lumps. I wasn't thinking about the risk of leaving the coins in the pool should the pool cease operating unannounced. Won't make that mistake again.

My guess for 3 is PPC (actually I think it will switch places and be #2 with LTC being #3). Primecoin will be up there too, as will Yacoin, and FTC for the top 6. But then again, I could be totally wrong.

Hello Joe. I downloaded and complied your 0.4.1.a test version. Is there an area you are most interested in hearing some test feedback? I haven't looked at it yet, but a couple small things I noticed during the build: in the yacoin-qt.pro file towards the bottom of the file, "novacoin-qt" should be changed to "yacoin-qt". Also I'd recommend matching the logo and the icon (I know this is just a project-in-work test beta, but I still think Novacoin's icon should be scrapped ASAP in all future yacoin versions). Thanks!

I think this would be better named as SolitaireCoin. After I compiled a windows wallet (since one wasn't provided) and mined for a bit, I soon figured out I was the only one sitting at the card table mining. So I quite mining after a couple blocks but came back a few hours later to see if there was any new action. No signs of anybody sitting at the card table and saw that no hands were even dealt since I left.
