201  Economy / Speculation / Re: price will pop back up to $120 monday morning on: June 10, 2013, 05:02:28 AM
idk i saw it with my own two eyes. almost ready to sell cuz it had dipped to 91 again and then all these thousands up buy orders came in. i havent seen this since the rally that took us to 260. in about 25 seconds it went to 106....ten more seconds 110. thats a lot of coins to buy up. and now holding srtong around 106. crazy shit. could easily go to 120 no problem

there will be a slight dip in the next few hours and then we will be around 115
watch

Hmm starting to see some other types of movement but might be another fun day Smiley

If you see this bet from USD point of view OP would win $120 or more and would lose less than $120.

the odds are definitely in my favor
205  Economy / Speculation / Re: price will pop back up to $120 monday morning on: June 09, 2013, 07:08:01 PM
all bets confirmed
206  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: June 09, 2013, 06:51:34 PM
This was an interesting test.  It first appeared as though the Bitcoin price directly affected the share price.  However, once the price seemed to mellow out in the mid 90's, the share price made almost a full recovery.  Bitcoin STABLITY is a bigger factor in share price than I thought, at least short-term (how it affects profit from hardware sales is the long-term factor).
207  Economy / Speculation / Re: Was there a Serious event causing current drop? on: June 09, 2013, 03:23:35 PM
yeah everybody got confused when the media stopped talking about it for 5 days and started a panic.  "OMG WE HAVEN'T MADE HEADLINES FOR TOO LONG, SELL SELL SELL.  THE HYPE IS GONE".
Umm yeeeeah, i love daytrading
208  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: USB 300MH/S ASICMiner Value Question on: June 09, 2013, 12:52:06 PM
I think that they are an investment.

BTC cant stay at ~100$ forever if its going to be "successful".
With only 21 million coins, market liquidity won't be possible with only $2.1billion money stock.

The good thing is that Bitcoins ROI time is shorter than traditional investment methods.
Its still a gamble, and with all big rewards, comes big risks - just as it has been like at every step of Bitcoins existence.
The problem is that BTC price is not rising in relation to difficulty increases as it should be.

The US gov has gone out of it's way to make it harder to get $USD into BTC exchanges, and there are periodic rapid BTC sell offs driving the price back down, when it should be rising.

209  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: GO BABY GO! LOWER AND LOWER! on: June 09, 2013, 12:45:07 PM
back up to $120 by noon on monday.  I'm even betting on it in another thread.  I know what's going on and 99.9999% of you don't.
210  Economy / Speculation / price will pop back up to $120 monday morning on: June 09, 2013, 06:42:34 AM

You heard it from me first.
Anybody want to bet?
211  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: cancelled my bfl on: June 09, 2013, 01:45:08 AM
Finally couldn't wait any longer and cancelled it...BFL is probably mining with it.

Obviously they are mining with it -- no doubt.  Otherwise they would just break even after all the refunds.  The only way they can make profit off what they're doing is to put your loan to work.
212  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: cooling ASIC USB miner on: June 09, 2013, 01:42:34 AM
you dont need anything geeky, just a regular household fan so the hot air doesnt just sit in one spot

True - though it can be very convenient to use USB hub to power the fan

A regular fan will also help circulate air around your house in the summer -- two birds with one stone!   Grin
213  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Will asicminer price ever drop again? on: June 09, 2013, 01:39:44 AM
Bitcoin is deflationary, and so are securities in businesses that deal in bitcoin.  Remember, there are only 21 million of these things that are going to be created ever.  The price can't go up infinitely, in terms of Bitcoin.  And at a certain point it will become saturated and the price MUST come down.  This is true even, and especially as more people adopt it.  This is not the case with fiat securities, so people need to keep this in mind.  Even if the business is thriving, the price WILL come down in the long term as long as it is priced in Bitcoin.

So as demand goes up, and supply goes down, the price plummets?  Sorry, which universe are we talking about here?

In next few weeks of diff increases, you'd be an idiot to pay 50BTC for 13GH/s...  there are idiots in the world, and there are over-enthusiastic speculators in this community, but a week or two after that it will be apparent even to those who aren't good at math.

At that point, he'll either lower the price or not sell anymore.. its that simple.

50BTC for 13GH/S will make your money back in less than a year, and then about 20% on top of that.  20% annual ROI is a very good investment IMO.  Too many spoiled brats here who are used to the older days of mining when the rewards were much greater.  The correction has happened -- welcome to reality..  Cheesy

not if btc drops in price... apparently everyone is leaving that out of their calculations

thats pure speculation, how many times has it come back down to this level, and then back up?  Its funny how many people dont realize they are riding a rollercoaster

218  Economy / Auctions / Re: Bid for FREE Silver!!! on: June 08, 2013, 09:39:54 PM
10% free portion @ 0btc

I only want to bid on the 10% free part, someone else can have the other 90%.  Thanks..
219  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin at $112! on: June 08, 2013, 12:47:46 AM
I think it's due to the amount of people selling off their Bitcoins which they earn from ASIC mining. So they are depositing it into fiat money, to keep it at that value so they are benefiting from it.

I don't understand your logic.  The speed at which bitcoins are mined overall doesn't change.  All the ASIC rigs do is take a share of something that is already there.  Nothing is changing in that regard
220  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: June 07, 2013, 02:16:57 PM
It's obvious the only people who want the price to decrease are the ones WANTING TO BUY SOME at a discount, with little to no interest in friedcats success.   These fools are inexperienced at life and half no idea how supply and demand works.  If he can get away with selling these sticks for 2 bitcoins, he will!  If he could get away with selling them for 5 bitcoins, he would!  Don't kid yourselves, the mining industry isn't as easy to get into as it used to be.  If you want to make easy bitcoins, go roll some satoshidice with your BFL preorders.  Ignorant punks!  lol   Cheesy
