201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: investing more than 10k worth it? on: June 02, 2018, 02:08:02 PM
is it a gambling habit that you invest more than 10k? most people that are into crypto are working and taking classes at the same time. only to take loans for school to put into crypto. should you invest more than 10-30k dollars worth of crypto? back then people are investing only 1,000 to 5,000 into bitcoin. how serious is crypto. back than i hear people opening 2nd loans from their homes. but now it has quiet down a bit.
It is not matter how much you are willing to invest in crypto, the most important thing is that what you invest is the money that you can afford to lose, not some student loan or other kind of loan. It is very dangerous to invest from loan, if things go wrong then your life will become a mess, and I feel like the amount of people that already lose a lot from the crash isn't small so that's a very expensive lesson for them.
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sold all my ETH and bought ADA on: June 02, 2018, 12:07:28 PM
ADA is worth 1/10th of ETH in terms of market cap, but has so much more potential. Completely lost my confidence in ETH as new ICO's on decline, unknown inflation etc etc.
I think it's not that good decision to sell your eth as I feel like you should leave some, yes I agree that ada is worth 1/10 th of eth marketcap but right now they have nothing but a well written whitepaper and in my opinion that can't justrify the marketcap right now. Yes it has potential but if it is not an easy task to deliver what they write in the whitepaper. I also have some ada in my portfolio but it's not that big, the same can be said about eos.
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is etherium good for long term on: June 01, 2018, 02:47:12 PM
Yes it is actually one of the few coin that I believe for long term because it has a strong fundamental and a working platform already compared to other crypto. I do recommend people to hold it for some years and it is even better if you have hardware wallet like nano ledger or trezor as you don't have to worry about the security of your ethereum.
204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can I stop hodling already and buy something? on: June 01, 2018, 01:59:42 PM
Of course you can stop holding them and actually use them to buy something but the problem with crypto with currency as a concept is the adoption, you have to wait until there's merchant that want to accept the crypto you has. Even project like tenx face some problem with it and they actually don't have a card right now. You can use your crypto as long as you need so you don't have to hold all the time.
205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you even read whitepaper bro? on: May 27, 2018, 12:56:11 PM
Let be real. How many of you guys actually read the whitepaper? I read whitepaper sometimes, but reading multiple of them can be a burden and a headache. Do you guys got any tips on getting through whitepaper a little faster. It killing a lot of time. Thank.
Of course i read  the whitepaper because it is important to know what i want to invest in, usually i just skip the introduction part and go straight to business plan and implementation because that's the important thing, how they will run the project and if the idea is actually impossible or not. I don't fully read the tech part because i'm not tech savvy and it's hard for me to understand that so i usually watch youtuber that describe it simpler than the whitepaper.
206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what's your reason joining here in crypto? on: May 27, 2018, 11:25:30 AM
My reason to join this forum is to earn additional income and other information for the project which I follow. It is easier to look for information about a project in their ann thread rather than browsing reddit or their website. I often put my money into ico and I have to know the latest new about project, which is hot currently and will earn me a lot of profit.
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it risky to buy not top 100 crypto currencies? on: May 26, 2018, 05:18:47 PM
It is not that risky because not everything that not in top 100 crypto currencies is bad, the thing is it's not rare for a new ico to get straight into top 100 coinmarketcap so of course the older project's rank will go down, they will be there again once they release their platform and have their coin price increase, I have several coins that I hold which aren't top 100 coin marketcap and I still earn profit. As long as they still have liquidity on the exchange, you should be safe.
208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to participate in ICO's? on: May 26, 2018, 04:52:19 PM
Right now there are many ICOs coming out, is it really safe to participate in any of it and spend that much? In participating ICOs I have high hopes that these coins could be the next Bitcoin or other currencies that are really going up in the market.
Well of course it is safe as long as you follow their instruction and understand what you are doing. The most peoblem with ico is people sending their money from their exchange wallet which you should never do so you have to avoid that and don't forget to be carefull especially in telegram chat as sometime there's scammer who dm you and send the wrong contract address. Also make sure ico is legal on your country otherwise you can't participate.
209  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Price < $3000 soon on: May 26, 2018, 11:41:38 AM
clearly op doesn't understand that much about technical analysis looking at the chart which he provided. Even if crypto is going down, there's a lot of support level where situation can change for a better one. There's too much negativity on crypto when the price is going down and everyone always act like it's the end of crypto. If op said that bitcoin will go down to 6000 ish soon then it's still believeable but 3000 is too much.
210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: "Hard Cap and Soft Cap" on: May 20, 2018, 10:58:31 AM
What is the difference of hard cap to soft cap? Did we base on this if we are going to invest in altcoins? Share your comments.
I always take hardcap into consideration when I want to invest in some project, if they set the hardcap too high then I won't put my money there. The project will have too much money and marketcap at the start if the hardcap is high and that will make the price hard to go up in exchange, most of the project like that will get the price down for a few months before going up again. It's better to invest in a project with reasonable cap, maybe like 5M max as it's already a lot, that way, it will start with low marketcap and the price can start climbing from there.
211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best exchange for beginner? on: May 20, 2018, 10:55:51 AM
It is hard to find one where you can deposit usd because they have to apply for license in order to do that and it's not easy to get the license. If you want to deposit usd then you should use coinbase or gemini, buy bitcoin and transfer it to another exchange in order to start trading. I know that I take more steps but it's not that hard to do and only take a little time. You can transfer the bitcoin to binance and start trading alts there.
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is Telegram the new measure of ICO success? on: May 20, 2018, 09:51:03 AM
I do look at the number of people in their telegram chat but I also look how active the chat or it is just full of bots, it's not rare to find a project with lot's of telegram member but the chat is only every x hour. A real telegram group is the one that full of people chatting about the project, and I also look at the quality of discussion. If you look at trx telegram, it is full of delusional people and I hate project like that.
213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Token Public Blockchain Rating- What token/coin you choose? on: May 19, 2018, 03:31:14 PM
The post makes me happy and sad at the same time. I'm happy that China has considered or ranked Ethereum in the first position. It deserves to be in a good position. I'm sad because i see Bitcoin nowhere in top 10. whereas it should havebeen in the first position.

I don't know the criteria for the ranking but if they do it based on the tech then it is normal to see bitcoin not on top 10 of this list as it is completely outdated and the coins on the list definitely have more advantages to bitcoin in term of tps etc. Bitcoin is still the most expensive crypto because it is the first one and people treat it as a store of value. To answer the question of op, i will choose NEO, BTS, XMR and nano.
214  Other / Off-topic / Re: will bitcoin give surprise, ?? on: May 19, 2018, 02:58:01 PM
There will be no surprise on the price as for now, it literally need a lot of money to raise the price until it reach a new ath and if you know how it works you won't ask that kind of questions. It will be more than 1 year until we see another great bullrun that will make the crypto famous again so you should use this time to accumulate your crypto assets.
215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: RIPPLE OR LITECOIN on: May 19, 2018, 02:47:03 PM

Both Ripple and Litecoin has been doing greatly in the market of late with litecoin even outperforming other digital currencies at some point.

between the two, which one would you invest in and why?
I will choose ripple without a doubt because it's getting more and more famous each day while litecoin isn't that famous anymore. People that join crypto nowdays mostly know about ripple but they won't know about litecoin as there's almost no coverage on it. I also question the usage of litecoin, at least ripple can be used by bank, litecoin doesn't have any advantages compared to other similar coin.
216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to participate in ICO's? on: May 18, 2018, 02:25:14 PM
Of course it is safe as long as you don't break any rule to join the ico, you have to be careful if you are an American as usually they are not allowed to participate in the ico but other than that I don't see any reason why it's not safe. You have to make sure to send your money to the right address and make sure you send it from your own wallet (not exchange wallet) if it's erc20 token as the smart contract will send the token back to the wallet immediately.
217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth it to take part in airdrops? on: May 18, 2018, 02:14:17 PM
Hey guys, what do you think about airdrops? It’s a good and easy way to earn money. However it takes a lot of your personal time, so is it worth it to take parts in them?
In my opinion it's not worth it to waste your time on airdrops, especially if the project isn't good and only want to earn donation money. I used to join airdrops when ebtc become so successful but only for a month as after that the token that I got from airdrop isn't worth anything. It's better to use the time to do other bounty so you can earn more from that.
218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sell high, i get it but how? on: May 12, 2018, 04:34:15 PM
Hi All,

All the Crypto experts are always banging on about selling high, which is in most cases is correct, but i don't really get how someone can lock in the profits.

If i sell, do i convert the coin back to BTC for profit? How does someone make profit because most of the time when coins dump so does BTC! so how does someone secure profits?

What do you peeps do? I'm slightly confused.

Thanks
Even if you sell it to btc and the price of btc goes down, you have more btc than before so you can wait until the price of btc increase again or use it to buy the coin again cheaper. don't look at the usd value but look at the btc value, your goal is to have more btc than what you've started with. If you can also do btc price analys then it's better as you know when to convert it to usd for more profit. Look at the rsi, if it's overbought then it's the correct time to sell and reenter again later.
219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What I do before buying an altcoin! on: May 12, 2018, 02:50:43 PM
What you do is almost the same as I always do minus the icorating part, I never look at it because their evaluation is different from mine, I don't want other party to affect my decision so I always do the research myself, I look at their ann in this forum, join their telegram and ask a few questions to see how the dev answer it, do they understand their project or not.
220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Do you believe in ICO Ratings? on: May 12, 2018, 01:51:33 PM
No I don't because every ico rating site use different factor that will determine the score for the ico, and I also have a different point that I must check in order to participate in ico. It's always better to do your own research for the ico because that way you can see directly what kind of ico it is and whether it is suitable for you as a long term investment.
