Any one have answer for this ?
Well solo mining most often means simply mining to Your wallet if coin uses getwork or setting pool for Yourself (Just type it in google, you need one unix machine to run pool). Both ways are most often described in ANN thread here.

Thank you for all the answers ! ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I finally get it running with the 6 GPU's after 2 days of trying !! I'm not really sure about what exactly made it work well .. but it's working ! If it can help somebody, that's what I did : I took out all my GPU's, reset my BIOS to default settings, uninstall the drivers. Then I use a VGA cable to my monitor, go to the BIOS and change the option that allows more then 4 GPU's on my Mobo (4G), and install the drivers for my graphic cards (still with no graphic card plugged in). I added then one graphic card, turn on my computer, let him load it, and do one more restart before lauching Ethminer and look if everything is okay. I did that for each graphic card one by one, and it finally worked well ! I also overclocked them as I had them before, but I didn't do that for each card individually. I got one GPU at 62-63° and one at 72-73° , that's a big difference, and they having the same hashrate ! I didn't push them to much, I'm dualmining around 21,5Mh/s ETH and around 210 Mh/s SIA . I was wondering, should I overclock them individually ? And can I do that with MSI afterburner? And another question I had, I'm mining with Nanopool , and they are telling me I get 0,7 ETH per month with 139 Mh/s average in the last 6 hours. But if I look for example on Cyrptocompare they are saying 0,99 ETH per month with 139Mh/s !! This makes a big difference ! I know the difficulty had a jump just a few days ago, so maybe Cryptocompare didn't refresh the difficulty yet ? Or Nanopool are paying 30% less then the real rate ? If that's the case, I should move to another pool ! I also got one GPU that's makes much more noise then the others, and I can also feel it's having much stronger vibrations then the other ones when I touch it. Should I send it back to get a new one ? Thank you !! Calculations made on pool's side are often pool round and 24h FOUND blocks diff calculations. It means that with current pool luck and with avg. 24h diff You'll get XX reward. It fluctuates often, sometimes from round to round, often during rounds. The 10 Celcius difference problem could be caused by that card position (it could suck hot air from other cards to 'cool' itself) or by simply being primary gpu for GUI rendering. If you are using less cards that Your mobo could handle You could switch in BIOS Primary Graphic Device from PEG to IDE(or sth like this).

Hi,
Actually my knowledge about bitcoin mining is very little and i found that i cant get the latest model of RX 580 to mine (bitcoin or eth) neither i can purchase antminer etc .
But in my local shop i found that GTX 1060 6gb is available and recently i understand that i can make use of nichhash and sell my hash power to them and earn bitcoins.
I have mother board with sli support pcieX4 and pcieX16 so max i can use 2 card but on net its mention that 1060 do not support 2 cards combine.
so my questions
Can i make use of PCIx4 separately and use 2 1060 ? Nichhash need 0.01 BTC for payment and its going to take at-least 10 month to recover the cost is any other low payment provider available i cant wait 10 month for 1st payment I can get nvidia 730 4gb but they don't come with external power so i cant use USB riser or can i ?
What i need a way to mine or earn Bitcoin ( or may be ethereum ) but i have only limited access of resource .
any help would be appreciated
Thanks
Even if card itself don't have SLI support, you don't use it. You can run as many cards for mining as your MOBO will let You. For Nicehash, they are paying 0.001 balances each weekend as I remember, but You could also mine some coins directly and sell them whenever You like on exchange. For 730 4gb - not for mining, You'll earn little to nothig. If card dont have external power connection it draws all power from PCIE slot. You still need to power risers (they are powered directly from PSU) or plug it direcly into Your mobo.

How do you guys see the future of solaris? Ok , it will go up.....but what will it become?...i mean at the moment solaris is like a baby , it needs to grow up and decide who to become.. So what do you think solaris will become? what will be it's application ? in which field? What kind of coin will become(any compare with a big coin)? What do you think it will be it's roadmap? this is a question for the dev and for the comunity ....i'm not asking an official answer, just what are your personal thoughts on the future of the coin? ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) The biggest thing for Solaris in this year (Atumn) will be masternodes implementation to our "baby". More details will be announced . :O I thought that few pages ago I read that there will be no masternodes? Any coin requirement in mind?:d

I'm not gonna mine a coin that I can't get a wallet to sync. Tried on a x86 VM and STILL nothing.
Any ideas? Someone post the config for one that works or a link to download blockchain?
just type in solariscoin.conf: addnode=185.183.99.171 addnode=185.183.99.19 or get new wallet gui from few pages back, it have hardcoded base nodes

Well, have simillar issue with Lyra2z last time, got kernel errror. There should be setting in bios like 4G Decoding/ Cryptocurrency mining/computing
|
|
|
Don't know why You have such issues. Did you swap file size = card memory ? I'm running 100gb swap/4go ram for 5 1080ti, still computer is pretty usable, 2 staking nodes, storj 1tb share, web browser, sometimes HOMM3, when I'm bored and have only my smartphone nearby.
|
|
|
It should, but sometimes it don't. Well, You could try 'main gpu' way. You plug one card via riser to PCIE x16 slot, connect monitor, and boot PC. Turn PC off, put these card in another slot, and connect another one to x16 with monitor. My 1080ti rig was showing from 1 to 5 cards until i did it this way. Make sure You have 4G enabled in BIOS, Your Windows is installed in UEFI mode, and You dont use sata devices in corresponding slots for m.2 (In 1 m.2 slot scenario it's SATA 1 slot)

Try to cross drivers for RX4XX and RX5XX? ( it's 15.xx and 17.xx, can't find exactly which one it was). If You do and it didn't work, Try 16.9.2 driver or the new AMD blockchain driver.

Something has happened -I cannot seem to get DGB skein Alexis miner at the regular speed of 900mh/s with my 1080ti
My 1080 was running at 600-630 but the 1080ti is 750-800 max.
What's changed? I did clean driver installation and nada?!
Which drivers are You using? I suggest You to download latest CUDA from Nvidia, and install drivers from it - the new drivers don't work in my 1080ti rig. It's 385.41 ? it was latest downloaded via nVidia's website. So strange. I always used to get close to 940-950 mh/s now i'm at 700s This one don't work for me, I'm using one included in cuda toolkit (382.xx)

Did You cross drivers for 4XX and 5XX? I've read on Ethereum forum that this works for it. Can You connect only RX5xx cards and see if it's work?

Try to increase swap file to 32-64GB. Rule of thumb swap file should be the size of your all graphic cards memory together...
Yeah, I have 100gb swap on 1080ti rig. Try also connecting one card at time, check in device manager if it catch driver, then turn rig off, put it into another slot and put another one in x16 slot with monitor in it. It worked for me ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Well, Citibank awards are main DGB topic from june... So I really don't know, I think that DGB can potentialy be at .1$ end of this year, but in crypto - everything can happen. It's good choice to leave some (~10-15%) of coins at wallet, to let it grow in price. But DGB chart dont look promising enough for .05$ in September. But ANYTHING could happen ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Hi,
here is my configuration:
ASRock H81 PRO BTC R2.0 2x 4GB Crucial DDR3L-1600 Intel Celeron G1840 120 GB SSD 6x Sapphire RX 580 Nitro+ Special Edition connected with powered Risercards Chieftec Navitas GPM-1250C 1250W Netzteil
Win10 Pro 64bit
Everytime i start Claymore-Miner it freezez the Computer after DAG-Buffer. I tried different drivers, some BIOS-Mod but i cant get it to run... Also tried just with one and the same it freezez ...
It also does with all graphiccards are set in normal mode (without bios mod)
Can u help me?
Did You increased system swap file size to min 16GB?

DGB is around 220 (top diff ever) to 450/per card. So still DGB can be most profitable, but it depends on luck factor on pool, time to sell etc.
how can you reach 450 per day / card ?? 100% TDP, +150cc, leave mem clock, cross fingers that diff in 24h will not spike hard. It really depends on day, in some (DGB 0.025$) I was getting 450 DGB from 2 cards. At peaks (DGB 0.008$) I've got nearly 900 for 2. More miners = less coins.

Dev could we have a Rasberry Pi wallet? It's kind annoying that this shitty raspbian can't compile most of linux wallets ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) Having Solaris on it will justify buying it ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Also, since we have android wallets and masternodes are postponed - what will we have next? ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)
