201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just bought a boat load of Neo on: January 16, 2018, 11:31:08 PM
First time experiencing a correction? We're going to be seeing some REAL corrections this time. Bitcoin back to $6000, Eth down to maybe $700 and wouldn't be surprised to see NEO hit $55
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [SCAM]BitConnect is shutting down its lending and exchange platform on: January 16, 2018, 11:20:37 PM
Next ones to tank will be Tether, TRX, Cardano and XRP. The first because it's a scam and the last 3 because people were only buying into them because of hype. Wouldn't be surprised if EOS fell off from top 50 as well since it still doesn't even have a product and is worth nearly 6 billion? Lol

*Enters the dragons den*

Hi, I'd like to sell a crypto currency made by a great developer, it hasn't started yet and no one knows what it'll look like but we promise it'll be great.
Dragon: Ok what assurances are we going to get and how much do we need to invest for a stake?
Me: I'll give you 10% for 600million, you'll get some magic tokens until we actually make something. Until then you can trade your tokens with others!
Dragon: What if no one else wants to buy the tokens because they're not tied to any actual business model or product?
Me: Lalallalalaa I can't hear you Hype hype hype just buy it
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: One good thing about the crash on: January 16, 2018, 11:09:46 PM
Wait until people realize Tether is a scam, that's when the fun will happen. Good luck to all those holding Tether tokens which are worth shit when no one wants to buy them!

But also be warned when that happens some of the big exchanges may end up going under with it. Bittrex are currently the biggest holder of Tether tokens.
204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] MONETHA - Decentralised reputation with built-in payments on: January 16, 2018, 11:03:47 PM
It's gona keep going down now for a few days, think I'll wait until around 8 cents until I buy some more and increase my holdings.
205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LEARN TO F#@$ING HODL on: January 16, 2018, 11:02:31 PM
Only hold the right coins that have a long term future, any shit coins will be caught out by the correction and earn their true value. If you bought just because someone said it was good then you're going to learn a hard lesson really soon. TRX is a great example of what happens when people buy into hype, the poor people that may have been new to crypto and bought at the top are now left in the shitter and probably will never touch crypto again. The inflated market wasn't good.
206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why every coin dumping now? I am losing huge money on: January 16, 2018, 10:58:31 PM
Great, we needed a proper correction even though I'm losing 'potential' value in my portfolio right now I think it's what we needed for long term viability.
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A very very long term Hodling advice on: January 12, 2018, 11:16:19 PM
Wouldn't bother with any high priced coins personally, got for a few of the cheaper ones get $50 worth in each and leave them.

As an example if you invested $1000 in bitcoin and wanted it for say $100,000 at the end of your investment can you really see bitcoin price eventually hitting 1,300,000 dollars each?

If you buy a few different types of altcoins that are at a lower market cap of say $12mil it's more likely they'll reach a marketcap that'll give the types of returns you want. Obviously some will be complete shit and you'll earn nothing back but you only need 1 to do x1000 and your laughing.
208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Substratum ICO - August 7-September 7 (Pre-Sale with Bonuses Available Now) on: January 12, 2018, 11:10:07 PM
You can currently upload only static websites to Shift testnet Phanthom. They will soon introduce dynamic support (dynamic website is for example this forum).
so what you’re saying, is that Shift only has a testnet running?
Same as Sub then:

#SubstratumFAQ

Q: Does it work?

A: In Alpha I we proved we can route requests using our network of nodes and render requests through the #Substratum network.

Full Video: youtu.be/LPCfmiO4a4M

Shift can be tested by yourself and not like in SUB: heey we proved we can redirect some DNS. LOL boom some youtube videos and you guys bite the hook.

Till now they provided zero evidence of their work..only some videos that show zero code work..

Also, Shifts Phanthom is on testnet because of testing it's stability and finding potential bugs and it's publicly avaiable

Shift just relies on fanboys having to post in ever possible topic they can instead. If you want to do a comparison between the two make a thread about it on altcoin DISCUSSIONS, the people in this one only care about Sub related news.
209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will ICOs become regulated in Europe? on: January 12, 2018, 11:04:37 PM
The BOE (Bank of England) head Mark Carney has stated recently that they wish to regulate not only ICO's but also impose a taxed system where the government will look to tax alts and bitcoin/ ethereum etc whilst in wallet.. This would obviously be good for making ICO's credible ... but also bad for holders as you wouldn't be able to strategically hold tokens and pay yourself in good tax terms in the future.  Shocked

Pretty much another non techie thinking they can control crypto, same as when they wanted to ban certain websites in the UK.

With regards to regulation, they don't call it world wide web for nothing. If a country wanted to regulate, their best bet would be putting the fence between the initial investment into Bitcoin or Eth via sites like Coinbase etc. If the government made it illegal to invest in crypto and made banks in that country block payments to said companies then they might have a chance.
210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you choose to hold Bitcoin or Ethereum? on: January 10, 2018, 11:51:51 PM
Never been a fan of bitcoin, yes I've invested in it and do cloud mining with Hashflare but always preferred Eth. Who wants to pay $5+ dollars per transaction when you can get it for fraction of the cost with ETH even with a high Gas set.
211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I just became a millionaire on: January 10, 2018, 11:46:44 PM
Lol mugs, how would someone forget about a wallet which contained 20,000 dollars in investment? Jesus can people not do basic maths here

Lets assume even taking into account the "began buy more since" that he then doubled his money by buying/selling even more and doubled his initial investment. He'd still have had to put 10k in to do 50x which gives 500,000 and then double on hedging.

I can't see anyone 'forgetting' about a 10k investment unless they're already minted in which case being a millionaire wouldn't be such a big deal.
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] KICKICO - PLATFORM FOR FUNDRAISING ON CRYPTOCURRENCY on: January 10, 2018, 11:40:36 PM
Although the price has come down a little since the altcoin pump last week it's still holding nearer to ICO price now which is a great sign. From what I've seen on other successful ICOs this is the time to hold strong. You'll probably see the price fluctuate between .10 cents and .17 cents over the coming weeks then all of a sudden it'll get some coverage and has more people become aware I'm predicting .30 cents each in a month.
213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Substratum ICO - August 7-September 7 (Pre-Sale with Bonuses Available Now) on: January 10, 2018, 11:38:14 PM
Sold a fraction of my Sub today, made 20x original investment and still got SUB for the long term HODL so it's win win for me now regardless of what happens Cheesy
214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: >>> Pump and dump happening on an altcoin within 1-2 hours, get in now! <<< on: January 04, 2018, 11:28:55 PM
Don't know how anyone can participate in this shit and call themselves a crypto currency supporter. All your doing when you manipulate the markets on purpose in a swarm is introduce instability, mistrust and doubt on crypto increasing the duration before it can have wide spread adoption.
215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY][ICO] 🔥2000ETH🔥 Pundi X - Any store can buy, sell and accept Crypto on: January 04, 2018, 11:05:43 PM
Can't wait till the ICO date, not long now! The way the market is going I got a feeling it's going to be an extremely successful ICO.
216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What to get rid of or keep all from my portfolio....? on: January 04, 2018, 11:01:30 PM
Depends what your goals are? If it's make a quick profit then sell the ones your happy to take the profit on.

If it's long term investment then only keep the coins you believe in the most, I personally prefer your strategy of spreading the bets over multiple coins rather than focus on a few. It one moons you still make a nice profit and if one turns out to be a scam it won't wipe you out. It only takes 1 of them to make profits like QTUM did $100 at ICO is now worth around $19,000.
217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] MONETHA - Decentralised reputation with built-in payments on: January 04, 2018, 10:49:49 PM
Wow the interest in Monetha is starting to look good, major buy orders today on all the exchanges it's listed. If this ever got onto Bittrex it would rocket up in value.
218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] KICKICO - PLATFORM FOR FUNDRAISING ON CRYPTOCURRENCY on: January 03, 2018, 10:43:16 PM
Additional tokens as interest from kickcoin been deposited without issue this month good to see, only problem is I have to keep updating my damn blockfolio with my new amount!
219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: TRON (TRX) is going crazy. on: January 02, 2018, 11:38:35 PM
Isn't it making anyone else a little uneasy that all these small altcoins are suddenly booming up to billions in marketshare?

Ripple is apparently bigger than Vodafone right now lol that's just mental.

Cardano a coin that only has theoretical value is worth more than BAE systems....
220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Substratum ICO - August 7-September 7 (Pre-Sale with Bonuses Available Now) on: January 02, 2018, 11:26:55 PM
Gutted that I only invested $30 now, still a nice x10+ ROI though can't complain about that. Sadly it was one of my first ever ICOs to invest in so was a little reluctant to go big.

Just give it time. If the gain is x10 now when there's no useful product, just think what will happen to the price once they release the product people can use. I have read NEO increased it's price by 850000% from the ICO price. That's 8500x (your $30 would be worth $255000 Shocked )

When SUB will launch promised timelines

2018 price will be 20$ 30$ bottom range

you'll see

load as much as you can now at those cheap prices

I am buying it now Cheesy

Yeah you have a point there, just need to forget about it and check back in a few years rather than taking the slight profit and bailing.
