201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: EtherDelta offline? on: September 08, 2017, 02:27:43 AM
I still can't load it up. got some Monetha and Aventus there at a nice rate. I hope this is just temporary.

Does anyone know if this is a common occurrence with EtherDelta?

What's the market cap/ total supply of this coin?

Total supply is 80,000,000 coins I believe

So is the market cap only about five or six figures?

Yup, I took the plunge and invested little less than half an ether. Probably wouldn't have been too pushed had it not been for the fact they pay dividends the 15th of this month.
206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best HODL altcoins because of incentives (Staking) on: September 06, 2017, 06:27:46 PM
I'd also like to know this,

BitDice pay dividends every quarter I think.

As does DDF (Digital Developers Fund).

MAGOS also pays out dividends.

You will eventually get paid dividends from REAL too.

Does anyone else have a coin that rewards you over time for hodling?

It would also be really inviting if there was no minimum for the presale. I would suggest an individual hardcap for the presale ICO but I suppose that's how a lot of start-ups get big funding...

Hi again, overttherainbow, I spoke to the team about this and we are considering all feedback for the presale. If there is a minimum, it certainly won't be as sky-high as some we've seen. That being said, since it is a presale, we do need to limit the administrative load so that we can keep building and also prepare for the main crowdsale. The limit will be higher than the main crowdsale, but it should be accessible to many.

Individual hardcaps are interesting, but the problem is that current implementations are either easy to defeat (e.g. address limits/pre-registration -> submit multiple addresses) or burdensome to the buyer and against the crypto ethos. A successful pre-ICO is in everyone's interests as it will allow us to dramatically increase our outward-facing efforts and is a way to reward the early visionaries like yourselves.

We're keeping an open mind on this as crypto would be nothing without this community, but practical solutions are far and few between.

Instead of a hard cap or some prohibition from selling for x months, our approach is the Patron rank for coins purchased during the crowdsales to encourage a crowdfunder to hodl a stake (and sell his or her services in the cloud to others) versus dumping. If they want to sell, they certainly can, but the Patron rank is adjusted to make hodling a sweeter outcome.

Hello f4tal1ty and Hadron co.,

I completely understand your approach to the token sale and I know you are making the best decision for everyone involved. Practical solutions for individual hardcaps are truly far and few between, as many of the options disrupt the fluidity of participating or go against the ethos of cryptocurrencies in general. That said, if you come up with a way to implement individual hardcaps in way which achieves the criteria necessary, then please do share.

In regards the Patron Rank: is it only available during the presale? If not, is the multiplier of a different value at each stage of the token sale? This certainly will incentivise people to hodl and circulate the coins within the Hadron ecosystem.

For coins that are sold on the exchanges, do you think they will be purchased by the Hadron team and injected back into the stream of Hadron?

Could someone please supply a detailed description of how a lottery system would work? Or any other system?
210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Individual Hardcaps on: September 04, 2017, 03:04:07 AM
KYC circumvention is no problem for individual investors.  Just select 'No I am not a citizen of Country X' or use a VPN.

I really can't speak to individual hardcaps though, the same methods used to bypass KYC can be used here.  Classic example of a double-edged sword.

The only thing I can think of is some type of lottery system.

How would the lottery system work?
211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Individual Hardcaps on: September 04, 2017, 01:55:31 AM
Is there a fair and effective way of implementing individual hardcaps for ICOs?

Limiting contributions per address means people will use multiple addresses. Pre-registration means whales can register multiple accounts and causes friction. KYC goes against the ethos of cryptocurrencies.

Can any of you guys suggest another method of implementing an individual hard cap that doesn't run into any of the above problems?

Have the ICOs on Binance been removed?
214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best ICO in September on: September 02, 2017, 10:53:37 PM
After evaluating this thread, these are the five most mentioned ICOs in this thread. I will list them from 5th to 1st. I have decided to leave out Kyber as the opportunity is practically gone.

Utrust
Red Pulse
Spheris
Aventus
Enigma

I know popularity isn't assurance of income, but it's at least an indication.
215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 5 crypto currencies to invest in 2018 on: September 02, 2017, 09:35:19 PM
My 5 Fav altcoins to invest in early 2018 are:

1. Target Coin.
2. Lisk
3. OAX
4. ICOcoin
5. DAY

Mark my words Target coin is a beast with super guys in trading field, It will be in top 10 in marketcapatization very soon.

You have strange coin lists! I know only lisk. But what is DAY? I write at google "DAY coin bitcointalk" and there is no such thread...
And I like from you list OpenAnx coin.
Actually I like coins that trading in exchanges Smiley))

Can you please say something about OpenAnx coin? I mean why you think is great coin? It will be better to hear it from legendary!
I'm thinking to invest money to this coin.

My list is:
1. Wings - really cool, maybe first project where you can really earn others coin if you have wings.
2. Etherium - no comments Smiley
3. Waves.
4. Maybe Ripple.

I think DAY is a token that will be created by Timemints which are sold by ChronoLogic. All have been sold in their ICO I believe.

I could be completely wrong.
216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where is the actual value of Altcoins coming from? on: September 02, 2017, 09:20:07 PM
What actually assigns the particular value to the token though? Is there an algorithm involved that weighs the total value being traded at any given time or the total amount or token-holders?

When the BTC price falls, what is the actually mechanism behind it that determines it falls this much? I don't expect anyone to have a perfect answer, but speculation isn't a thing. Speculation, the concecpt, can't actually do anything. The speculation can cause people to buy it and then maybe that fulfils some criteria that allows the price to increase? Speculation can't fly out of your brain and alter the price like some little demon. There must be something else to it.

Take the increase of price correlated to the increased investment into the token. So I pay Joe for 1 BTC and he transfers that 1 BTC to me. How does that transaction affect the price?

Even the consider the money ICOs raise. So I understand that may set the initial cap and token rate, but how do future trades affect the price? Does anyone have an almost exact answer? How is it the supply-and-demand changes the price as we see it?

There seems to be a huge amount of interest in this and I'm guessing your product will benefit from mass adoption.

In lieu of this, I think an individual hardcap for the ICO and/or presale will substantiate the value of your token and help to cull the worries of those who are participating in all manner of ICOs this September.

Here, lads, what's the story with how the KC arrives in your wallet?

On etherscan it said I would receive 4735.5 KC but I actually received 4.3050004305 KC and it something like ER-7 at the end of it.

Can anyone explain or help?
