Network hashrate and difficulty just took a massive drop, looks like the ASIC's have been nobbled and they have moved onto Electroneum, which has not implemented any ASIC resistance.

Yes , The situation now is much more accommodating to all participants

GRAFT NETWORK MAJOR UPDATE 1.1.2 AT BLOCK 64445
We decided to make the major network update even sooner due to the problems with ASIC and difficulty the nertwork has been experiencing over the past several days. The source code of the patch version 1.1.2 is now released and available for download from master. The binaries of the new release are located here: https://s3-sa-east-1.amazonaws.com/graftbuilds/graft-1.1.2-20180417-release.tar.gz. The major network update itself is rescheduled for block height 64445.
Each GRAFT network node must be updated to the new software version before that block/date, otherwise, the node that wasn’t updated is going to be on the wrong version of the blockchain. This release contains the ASIC-resistance changes in the hashing algorithm and enhanced difficulty adjustment algorithm, which are supposed to protect GRAFT blockchain from most hashing attacks and stabilize the block intervals.

As another reminder, major network update means that if you are running the GRAFT network node (graftnoded daemon), you must upgrade it to the current software release as soon as possible. If you do not install the updated node before the block 64445, it will be disconnected from the mainnet after block 64445.

In order to check whether you are running the right version of GRAFT software, launch graftnoded daemon in terminal window (in interactive mode) and type help command. If you are running the right version you should see Graft ‘Beta Lyrae’ (v1.1.2-release) in the first line of the help result.

Note that the users of mobile and desktop wallets are not affected by the upcoming network update and don’t need to do anything – as long as they are still connected to the default proxy supernodes (if you are connected to your own supernode, however, do not forget to upgrade the underlying network node).

Do You have any info about network problem or We has to wait until July for 65110 forkblock....

The team had just concluded a meeting.
In the meeting we discussed the ongoing challenges with ; High Difficulty , long block times , and upcoming forks.

The team have analyzed the data for the network difficulty against shares submissions.
Currently the team have decided to see how and if  difficulty will change through the day, and collect the data in order to provide the best solution for the network.
A follow up war room meeting have already been scheduled for tomorrow and depend on how the situation evolve we might take actions.

I think you need to move another hundred or one and a half blocks. 20-30 blocks per day is not serious.
Or we will wait another month.
Even if someone can not reconfigure on time - in any case, no one mine. It's useless

[/quote]

pre-mined projects with proof of stake have been working wonders on basic networks. if you could get enough POS terminals in say a few walmarts running node, then the issue no longer exists, but then how practical is an outlook like that? I like that this project is entirely in our hands, but i feel like there are no safety nets or firm foundation yet provided on the part of our dev team. I need more proof that the dev team is really making strides right now (even if it is so early in the game). The best thing that can happen this year, is a smooth transition into a more feasible project that has every road block worked out before hand. A coin worth no less than 75 cents by December would be tantamount to showing up this project for a bare minimum of it's worth. The only way that this can happen is for everyone to get cracking on a desktop wallet that is more groundbreaking than your average core clone, and for our developers to smooth out the block chain and set up a roadmap for keeping the entire network on par with really supporting a massive network with serious development in mind. This concept is a golden pitch, but everything that we're working with in terms of a product is bronze or worse right now. There is some serious restructuring in order to make this whole market and the technologies involved to thrive.   Lips sealed Lips sealed Lips sealed

also, wth happened to the ico investors? didnt they buy coin at 25 cents per share. wtf? it's barely like 2 cents right now on the market. who the hell wrote these market parameters? it was stated (always a bad sign from developers) that market price should be 32 cents by the time it reaches the exchange. Maybe it was just too early? How were they proposing that the new target price be reached? are these guys just scam artists with a good practical idea? where the hell did their math come from, because it's not making up well so early in the game.

ICO investors have each received an email which will make them "whole"

what pool gives such a high Network Hash Rate?

All pools are less than 2MHs. Also, this is too big network difference for SOLO miners, so I think that it is an error in blockchain calculations...

This will all change after  the fork to and the difficulty adjustment algo ( which will take place after the fork) .

you are not seeing whats happening on your network? you are being attacked. insisting your block schedule wont come until maybe june?

Updating network and forking require all participants in the network to update their node/client .
This is no easy thing to do and communicate , one must allow sufficient time to allow all participant to update/upgrade.
Without proper notice and time it can cause more harm then good.

In regard to that attack , yes we noticed .
The asic attacks is the reason we released 1.1.1 which allowed for a much sooner fork . ( Old fork height 67850 vs  New fork height 65510 ) .
As you can see above the team is in-tune to the evolving situation and responding accordingly .

Thanks

PATCH 1.1.1 HAS BEEN RELEASED – MAJOR NETWORK UPDATE ON BLOCK 65110
We decided to make the major network update sooner in order to minimize the possibility of hashrate attacks. Patch version 1.1.1 is now released and available for download from master. The major network update itself is rescheduled for block height 65110, around April 14th.

oh no Sad

Code:
[eu.mine.graft.network:5555] CONNECT error: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.

Changes coming up already?

I'm on XMR-STAK 2.4.2 (latest), just waiting for the monero7 switch.

GRAFT COMMUNITY MINING POOL – REQUIRED MINER CONFIGURATION CHANGE AND SOFTWARE UPDATE
GRAFT Community Mining Pool (http://grftpool.com) has been updated to comply with the upcoming major network update which will change the hashing algorithm on April 17 (block 67850). In order to continue mining (even now, before the network update took place) you should update your miner’s configuration (and software if necessary) to be compliant with the recent changes. THe new version of the miner with the new configuration is suppsoed to continue working after the network update as well, without additional changes. You should change the current mining algorithm setting from “graft” (if you use XMR-Stak miner) or “cryptonight” (for other miners) to “monero7”. If your version of miner doesn’t support this algorithm, you need to update it to the latest version. Almost all popular miners already support “monero7” algorithm.

If we have not moved our pre-ico gft tokens to a grft wallet, should we do so?  I'm worried there will be a deadline for this.  Is there?

Deadline have yet to publish but likely in the next month or so .
Please move your tokens from the mosaic to your Graft wallet ASAP

GRAFT IS NOW TRADED ON STOCKS.EXCHANGE FOR BTC AND ETH

We’re happy to announce that GRFT is now traded on Stocks.Exchange as our second external exchange with support for BTC and ETH pairs.*

External exchanges play an important role for any token by providing liquidity for miners and a way for new people to get involved with the project, and we want to offer a well-balanced, diversified set of trading exchanges with few more becoming available soon. Having said that, our main focus is on building out the product and the eco-system, including integrating with decentralized exchanges (DEX) in order to achieve the very important in-network interchange and payout functionality.

* Please note that current Stocks.Exchange integration is limited to CLI wallets for GRFT deposits. We’re working with Stocks.Exchange on implementing integrated addresses which include both the receive address and the Payment ID. Integrated addresses are already supported in all GRAFT wallet apps.

GRAFT 1.1.0 ‘BETA LYRAE’ HAS BEEN RELEASED

We are excited to announce the release of major GRAFT network update version 1.1.0 ‘Beta Lyrae’ to the master / mainnet! Multiple tests are passed, and all the seed nodes are updated. The major network update itself is scheduled for block height 67850, about a week from now on April 17th.

If you do not install the updated node before April 17th, it will be disconnected from the mainnet after block 67850. In order to check whether you are running the right version of GRAFT software, launch graftnoded daemon in terminal window (in interactive mode) and type help command. If you are running the right version you should see Graft ‘Beta Lyrae’ (v1.1.0-29ae686) in the first line of the help result. Note that the users of mobile and desktop GRAFT wallets apps are not affected by the upcoming network update and don’t need to do anything – as long as they are still connected to the default proxy supernodes (if you are connected to your own supernode, however, do not forget to upgrade the underlying network node).

And finally, we would like to thank everyone from GRAFT community who contributed to the first major GRAFT network update by providing their feedback! We appreciate your support! We look forward to working together on our next major milestone – alpha and beta releases of RTA (real-time authorization) functionality of full supernodes. Stay tuned!

LATEST TESTING RESULTS OF THE ENHANCED DIFFICULTY ADJUSTMENT ALGORITHM

The upcoming GRAFT network update will take care of problems with hashrate attacks and instability of block intervals (in addition to ASIC resistance upgrade). We would like to share the most recent results of the new difficulty algorithm testing on the testnet. The first graph shows how the existing algorithm slowly adjusts to multiple spikes of the network hashrate:

The second graph shows how the upgraded algorithm quickly reacts to virtually any change of the network hashrate:

The release candidate build is finalized but we are still in a process of testing of the upcoming network update. We are still on track to release it next week, stay tuned to get further notifications about specific date/time. By the way, if you haven’t seen it yet, here is the most up to date and detailed GRAFT engineering roadmap.

We are getting closer to the expected network update

Current tentative block for network update is : 67130
Currently tentative master release for node is April 10th 12:00 CST .

The team completed an update to the public testnet.
A temporary new pool for mining functionality test is available here : https://35.162.94.227

We recommend all miners to get their rig ready and conduct some mining testing ;

1. Please upgrade your miner ( current recommendation is XMR-STAK 2.4.2 , https://github.com/fireice-uk/xmr-stak/releases/tag/2.4.2)
2. Under the “pool.txt” file change the “currency” to “monero7” .
3. Point miner to : 35.162.94.227
4. Use your own testnet address or our address for testing :    F9axfuMSRJkjVBxtaQDGGxCagRRrjufor4rEiC8txf3n9669L8MKUYPhXQKjABMS9pC4tnQ6EMiiP42 nesH5zzYiSv65RLK

Use ICO funds and buy a listing on cryptopia. At least with it your shitcoin will not die while you are circle jerking with stuff you will never implement.
You indeed will never get listed on a decent exchanges like bittrex or binance, it's just beyond your abilities, so the maximum you can achieve is Kucoin.

Keep original algo and Bitmain will pump it and list on affiliated exchanges.

I tried to send GRFT from my Android wallet to Tradeogre but an "Internal server error" message appears.
Can you fix this?Anybody having the same issue? My Android GRAFT wallet app is updated.
I`m 100% sure that I`ve copypasted the exact same GRFT address given by Tradeogre, without any errors.

It worked this morning for me - snatched up a lot of cheap coin  last night and sent it over this morning. The site seems to be down as of now though (unreachable for me at least from 3 continents). Also sending GRFT into Tradeogre worked for me as well the day before.

TradeOgre seems to be down at the moment .
Stocks.exchange is coming soon though  ( and more exchanges to follow ) .
