this thread is a bit dead, isn't it?

Sad Guess that's what happens when the OP is a 'newbie' on the forum...
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] POPULOUS - Invoice trading platform | ICO l BOUNTY CAMPAIGN on: September 05, 2017, 09:34:06 PM
This thread will now be kept open, some members of the Populous community have expressed legitimate concerns. Yes this was the original place where the birth of Populous marketing campaign took shape and I see why it worries PPT holders.

It is basically like removing apart of the Populous history. If anyone did not receive a bounty it is clearly because their work was rejected or they did not submit it as we asked. This was in order to stop those who change articles previously written for other purposes. We used the email time stamp as a proof of receipt and requested those who claimed to have written articles within the time frame but have not been paid to reply to the original article email.

We have more than enough PPT to compensate anyone but we will not let in to false claims, scams or anyone trying to unjustly claim PPT for work not considered done or worthy.

Thank you! I know ann pages can be cumbersome to read through, especially with annoying ass FUDsters who cry when their puny bounty is rejected, but it means a lot to people/investors like me who like an outlet to discuss the project.  Your team is really on the ball and the continued success of this project is imminent, thank you for your dedication and I look forward to seeing more progress!!

This thread is set to close. Follow updates on our Slack channel. Thanks

Pretty fucking lame Populous, been a big supporter for months now and this is just unfortunate to hear as I hate Slack.  Update your bitcointalk forum alongside your slack, it's really easy...

People ask questions like this when they invest in their project, then have thier emails ignored.

True!

Still, the project is obviously not dead and have given updates in the past week, they just haven't responded to your e-mail.  I would try their slack...
206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PLU] Pluton on: September 04, 2017, 02:48:35 AM
Is this project dead?
I emailed support 3 times last week.
I got no reply. I am trying to get my payout address changed.
But they do not respond to email.
I am wondering if they dropped this project.

Why do people ask questions like this on ann pages when it's so easy to find out for yourself the project is very much ongoing, I'll refer to one of their later blog posts:

Is there somewhere I can contribute my ethereum to? Or does this not even have an ICO yet?

LOL, what? ICO ended months ago, just do about 5 minutes of research...

Should we be giving notice to Minereum tokens on this forum?  Saw this one and thought it looked interesting! https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1992952.0;topicseen
209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] RIALTO.AI Cryptocurrency Arbitrage and Market Maker ★ OFFICIAL THREAD ★ on: September 03, 2017, 03:34:31 PM
I'm insanely confident that Rialto will be a top 50 project in the next 6 months, people haven't even heard of it let alone understand the crazy amount of potential.  I think the devs are really smart, humble guys who want to focus on making a stellar product instead of hyping the shit out of it, which I love, can't wait to see this thing moon!!
I also have very high hopes on RIALTO. Its true that the market is still unaware of this little gem.Anybody knows how the arbitraging is doing so far?

I don't know if you've already seen this, but here you go: "The arbitrage and market making system is up and ready to be connected to the crowdsale asset pool as planned, for September the IT security testing is underway. The research and optimization related work will continue in full scale uninterruptedly"https://www.cryptocoinupdates.com/rialto-ai-opening-of-reddit-sessions-and-pending-exchange-listing/  Cool

Wonderful, thanks for pointing this out Paul, will be an exciting next few months for Rialto!!

One thing I don't understand is, all the FUD on this thread is coming from INVESTORS in the project or just people from other competition that just want to up their post count? I am just curious to see how many UNHAPPY investors there are here as opposed to plain FUD and Scam reporters?

I've watched Populous since the ICO, saw it rise to about 9$ and then the July blood bath began and it dropped to as low as 1$.  I am 99% confident we will see that 9$ and then much more in the coming months.  I would guess people who got in at the higher levels are upset and spreading FUD, I also think that the crypto market is full of a lot of amateur investors behind keyboards who get pissy when they aren't being turned into millionaires overnight.  Regardless, this technology and these projects will grow over time and succeed and Populous will be at the forefront of the market.  To answer your question, I am a VERY VERY HAPPY INVESTOR and excited to see what Populous does in the next year!

Lets be adults here and speak about the next big opportunites, for me would be:
(because we not only need to eat today but also in the next months)

Black Moon (did the pre-ICO) great feeling about it - expect a veri like moon shoot

OMG (waiting for good entry -but I am out of luck here and will miss it)
NEM  (waiting for good entry like above ...)
FUNFAIR (its only a good feeling no facts which are specialy for me)
Hoping for some kind of Token ICO which will be a bridge between Gold/Silver producers and customers

and here the list ends. Nothing to do currently.

Whats your opinion ? Other good suggestions ? Thank you  Smiley

A good list I will check out Black Moon as I haven't heard of it, I watched OMG go from 1 to 8 dollars and needed to jump on, I hope I'm early in the long run!

I'm invested in 15 projects but the ones I'm most excited about are:

Rialto
Minereum (specifically to invest in the new Artemine ICO)
Veritaseum
Populous
Waltoncoin
Pluton
Golem

Projects I really want to get into:

TenX
Storj
Ark
Mysterium

This thread is something else. Like a bunch of highschool kids with keyboards....

I come here for information on the project, and everyone's just moaning

Can we reserve this thread for useful information, and keep over dramatic speculation/name calling reserved for your PMs or something?

+++
It would be nice to have a moderator here. Those cry babies with their immature arguing are completely counterproductive.

100% support!
What counts is the success of Reggie and his team not what some brawlers think about each other! Grow up!
......... and dont waste our time!

This needed to be said, we have a serious project to talk about with Reggie and team trying to make some serious headway, and here we are watching a few little boys bicker on a forum.  Give it a rest guys, grow up, put a bandaid on your ego because I assure you, none of us give a shit.  Back to Veri, excited to see the software is developing as well as the many deals Reggie is working on!
213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Minereum - First Self Mining Smart Contract - ARTEMINE ICO SOON on: September 03, 2017, 02:59:50 PM
There are couple of copycat projects which are copying every single thing from Minereum. But they don't know what the future plans are reserved for these project and this is their disadvantage. Minereum will rock and still has lot of support to hold the price at above $4 for each token. Future belongs to original concepts so who stays in this will be big winner.

We're in a market that has TenX, Monaco, Plutus and Token Card among many many more crypto card projects.  All of these projects are gaining steam and prove that there can be copycats and competition but overall we will have multiple projects tackling the same issues and not exactly a problem.  I think Minereum's dev team is extremely active and responsive to this community so am pretty confident they have an upper hand, also, Switzerland ain't a bad place to do business Cheesy

dev regarding 60 years is not realisit for people to buy ART. how can we maximize the potential of it?

why not you can still sell your genesi address if you think so! i think 60 years is good time.

Sell it to whom? As you know, it gets more difficult to mine coins as time goes on. Imagine I've bough a Gen address for 100MNE, giving me 10.000 ART. During the first years, let's say I mine 1 ART a day, for a price of 1,2$ a day. After 2 years I will have mined +- 600 ART (720$), and will have made a profit of 220$. At this time, it's already more difficult to mine ART. Now, I only get 1$ a day (IF the price has remained constant). Let's look at it realistically and say that, over the next 58 years, I will mine, on average, half an ART a day, for the price of 0.5$. The total remaining supply would therefore be worth around 4070$. Do you honestly believe anyone out there is going to spend that money, or even 1/10th of that money, for an address that makes half a dollar a day?

I think your math is way off for this estimation, you're assuming Artemine will be worth 1$?  This would be insanely undervalued at 1$ and in your last post you stated that having a supply under 10 million can generate a lot of income.  Well, Artemine will absolutely start with a small circulation (MNE is under 1 million right now) of coins and if you participate in the ICO will be the one receiving/mining these relatively rare tokens that will have more and more uses over time.  This seems like a no brainer for me!

Have you read anything about a capped ICO? I didn't, and it worries me. The reason why we saw MNE's price increase from 1.5 to 8$ is because people bought to invest in ART. There's gonna be a lot of people investing here, and without a cap there's gonna be a ton of genesis holders, providing a massively growing circulating supply that will drop ART's price to a fraction of it's original exchange listed price. Like you said, it's gonna start off with a very small circulating amount, but every day thousands of ART's will enter the market, rapidly crashing the price. I believe in this project and the devs, don't get me wrong, but MNE's price dropped down gradually to below 1$ because there simply wasn't an incentive to buy. I'm rightfully worried ART is gonna go down the same path

I Understand where you're coming from completely, I think it would be ludicrous to have an uncapped ICO for Artemine as it could undermine the entire value of the project.  I guess I think you're taking some big leaps when you say "but MNE's price dropped down gradually to below 1$ because there simply wasn't an incentive to buy" How do you know that the price drop to 1$ was due to lack of incentive to buy MNE specifically?  I'm looking at the chart for MNE and we had the absurd market correction down to 60 billion dollar cap, hard to blame MNE for that, every project in the market and every investor was hit by a massive ton of bricks to the face.  Yes, I'm sure people had incentive to buy in order to invest in Artemine, but there's also a VERY VERY good chance MNE is reaching a larger audience of people (PEOPLE LIKE ME) who are eager to invest in both projects, thus rising the value and demand yadda yadda yadda...

Anyone still calling this project a scam is just being an asshole, just received my 300$ payout for renting my membership out, I love LGD!!!

Have got my payout as well! Love it!

How to get the payout what i need to do to rent membership?

You need to e-mail Kiki at the info e-mail address with screen shots of your 5000 LGD token account and say the dates you want to rent it out, it was super easy for me.

Price is already receding back to the 4 dollar level.

By announcing the announcement gave the day-traders the perfect opportunity to make an easy 20% gain, cash out and crash it back to old support resistance.

I guess it's business as usual now.

We have to leave etherdelta. We gotta get out of this place. If its the last thing we ever do. We gotta get out of this place 'Cause girl, there's a better life for me and you  Cool Cheesy

Literally the only good aspect of only being able to trade PPT, Rialto, Veri, Coindase and Pluton on EtherDelta is the fact I hate using it so I'm pretty much forced into holding these projects for a very long time instead of doing unnecessary day trades

220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Minereum - First Self Mining Smart Contract - ARTEMINE ICO SOON on: September 01, 2017, 10:52:38 PM
So, now I have really thought about what you write in the white paper, and made some math you can think about.

Lets assume that ETH value is 400 dollars. And the Gas about 50 000. The lowest gwei you can use, is like 0,5 now. That would mean that the cost is 0.000025 ETH, or 0,01 dollars, to get about 0,00032 ARTE. So to get the value for 1 ARTE, 1/0,00032 *0,01= 31,25 dollars per coin.
So, there will surely be bots to call that function, and mine the coin.

So, lets assume that you pay 100 MNE, or 10 ETH, and get 10000 ARTE, during the first year you would get 0,432*365=157,68.
That would give the dollar value, 157,68*31,25=4927,5 dollar.
Assuming you bought the first day of the ICO, and payed in in ETH, you payed 4000 dollars.

The total amount of coins that can me made with public mining is 512000. This is calculated by the total amount of  times the function can be called multiplied by the average number of coins made by the function. I here divide by 2, since the average value will be half of the original number.  3200000000*0,00032/2

So, That predicted value is off based on a couple of wrong assumptions:
1: That people would mine, and then sell at the same value. That would off course be a bit stupid, so the predicted value would ofc be higher.
2: That the price would not drop under the public mining cost, it could of course do that, and make that function useless.
3: That the cost for mining 1 ARTE will me constant. It will not since you get a bit less for every time you call the function.

So my prediction is that the Value of the coin will be higher then 31,25 dollars, and it will be a fight among people to mine it until it will eventually stop, when the amount of coins*the value of the coin is less then the current cost to mine it. And every time the price get higher, the mining process will start again.

Please let me know you thoughts about my calculations, have I made this correct? What are your thoughts about it?

Hi,

Thank you for your analysis.

Internally we are actually still having discussions on how the Public Mining reward should be definitely done.

In our current draft we are proposing 0.00032 ARTE per call, however, we are considering lowering this to 0.000032 (or even lower).

We would like to ask the community for the opinion on this. This process will only be defined once and the function won't be able to be changed once it is deploy on the network so we are glad to hear as many opinions as possible.

We have to take into account the following:

1. The gas used per call is approximately between 25000 and 55000

2. Users will be able to call the function as many times as they want

3. Multiple calls can be done simultaneously by different addresses

We are looking forward to hear the community feedback on this

Why would you lower the amount of ART to 0.000032?

The more ARTE available for mining, the more the supply

The more the supply, the lower the price. Lower price, unhappy investors

I agree with MiBambino and gonna go out on a limb and guess that the community/investors would prefer a lower supply to keep demand/price high for the token...
