You might have a confirmation from the faucet site saying that your payment has been sent or so. And there might definitely be a history of the transactions made on the faucet sites. So just look for that. And if you don't find any history then at least you might know that it's not from faucet sites.
202  Other / Meta / Re: Does the merit system have weaknesses? on: February 17, 2018, 09:10:18 PM
Merit system has forced some people, in fact everyone using this forum to post that are of high quality and that increases the standard of posts as everyone Orient towards receiving merits and get to a higher rank.
Merit has definitely made the forum free from low quality posts and we can hope that it might completely eradicate spammers and people making low quality posts.
203  Other / New forum software / Re: Can we "Like" a post? on: February 17, 2018, 05:23:59 PM
It is obvious that if you really agree or think that the post of a particular is great and helped you then go ahead and 'like' it bu giving it a merit. Instagram has likes, facebook has emojis, twitter has heart, bitcointalk has MERITS. I know this forum is not at all comparable to social apps, still. Everything has its unique things.

205  Other / Meta / Re: Need a help to earn merits on: February 16, 2018, 08:31:44 PM
We all know that anything that is great, takes time. Same applies on this forum. You'll be great you just need to have the required qualities to become great in this forum like-
  • Be good at English
  • Always keep yourself in the learning mode. As there are lots of cryptocurrencies there's a lot to learn.
  • Share your knowledge.
  • Have patience. You'll definitely have fruitful results.
And people will surely give you merit for quality posts, just provide them that quality. And asking for merits is kind of a bad practice, avoid it.
206  Economy / Economics / Re: Good business is a business that begins, not questioned continuously on: February 16, 2018, 08:24:03 PM
Indeed experience is the best teacher. People need to understand that rather than thinking out and pointing the possibilities of your decision, you should just have the courage and good knowledge about the business and just take that one step and give it your best shot and by best shot, your time, money, hard work. Everything! And you'll gradually learn, with experience!

208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is It advisable to quit my present job for bitcoin? on: February 13, 2018, 02:06:32 PM
Quitting your present stable job for cryptocurrencies is just a dumb decision as the price of the cryptocurrencies are highly volatile and no one can be dead sure about a pump or dump and there's no promise that you'll surely do great in the market and make profits. But will a stable job, you have a stable income which will have your back in your bad times. If you really want to do trading, manage your time according to your current job!
209  Economy / Speculation / Re: do you think bitcoin will go back to 6000? should i sell now? on: February 12, 2018, 07:44:43 PM
It is really hard to predict if bitcoin will dump further or it'll encounter a pump. Whatever may be the future of bitcoin, just hold. Do not sell at such low rates. I'd suggest buy more if you want to. But do not sell. You'll just have a loss rather than having a profit.
Avoid negative news and believe in bitcoin.
210  Economy / Economics / Re: Positive thinking brings positive things. on: February 12, 2018, 07:38:41 PM
Forums are being filled with speculation, almost all topics that appear lead to falling bitcoin prices, whether this will continue, this is the right time to buy, blah blah blah. Come on, the storm must pass, let us focus on the positive topics instead of continuing to discuss this 50% decline. Start talking about the positive news from Singapore deputy, bitcoin that has gone up 20% today and others. Think positive and positive things will come.
I just collect most of my information about bitcoin through bitcointalk and from the past few weeks i just never came across a good news regarding bitcoin. I agree with you that people should focus more on the positive side and spread some positive, true, good and informative news, so that unnecessary panic is avoided.
211  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is bitcoin over? on: February 12, 2018, 07:34:06 PM
According to the earlier history of bitcoin, it has seen falls worse than this but it always rises and startles everyone and makes good amount for the investors. It definitely will rise.
Just have faith and don't panic.
212  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can bitcoins be converted into cash? on: February 12, 2018, 07:30:24 PM
Bitcoin can definitely be converted into cash. You can either go on some exchanges and see if they offer the fiat converting service or not. Or else there is a site named localbitcoins, you can easily get your bitcoin converted to cash really fast. And you can also find some people on this bitcointalk site who'll buy your bitcoin and pay through PayPal or any other option which you might prefer.
213  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Newbie should trade or not? Please give me idea. on: February 12, 2018, 07:25:53 PM
Right now the market is a bit down and the cryptocurrencies you have are not upto their full potential and they'll definitely rise in the coming future. So it's better to hold them and wait for a pump and then if you wish you can trade it in ICOs rather than investing in some another coin. Because ICO price is 30% less than the original price, so you get fast profit, if you're up for that.

215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you afraid of hackers? on: February 10, 2018, 05:34:58 PM
I am not afraid of these hackers as most of my coins are secured in a hard wallet trezor. After I read about the past hacking of online wallets and exchanges I never keep my coins in them for more than a day. So I pretty much confide in these hard wallets rather that trusting some online wallet and be agitated about losing money all the time.
216  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this the Stable Btcoin Price? on: February 10, 2018, 05:23:19 PM
As you might have seen the recent price chart of bitcoin and it doesn't look stable. It clearly is still very volatile and we can encounter a dump or pump anytime. As it is falling investors might rush to invest in it, increasing its demand and affecting its price. And I guess it won't be stable until it's completely mined and it only circulates.
Only then might be a stable average value of bitcoin.
217  Economy / Economics / Re: Time is money, how you manage your money and time ? on: February 10, 2018, 05:17:04 PM
Time management is the highly valued thing for me because everything is based on it. I have specific hours allocated for tasks I need to complete, I don't fix the time when I need to complete it instead I fix the amount of time I'll require to complete that task and I try to complete it in the given time. Same goes for money with me, I divide my earnings for spending on different things from groceries and savings to investment.
218  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wiil bitcoin price raise up again? on: February 10, 2018, 05:04:14 PM
When I earned my first bitcoin it was only around 300$ and the next day it fell 40%, I panicked and in the fear of not getting anything I sold it and a month later it was around 450$. I still regret it. Never think that bitcoin won't rise cause it will rise sooner or later. It solidly will.
Just have faith in it and concentrate on earning more of it!
219  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should I invest in BITCOIN ???? on: February 10, 2018, 04:58:32 PM
You can invest some amount in bitcoin right now if you really want to but do not invest your complete money in it. After investing some amount, you can either wait for bitcoin to further drop and invest your remaining amount in bitcoin (which should not be preferred as investing in just one crypto is very risky) or you can just invest your remaining amount in altcoins.
220  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: stop listening to false news on: February 10, 2018, 04:52:56 PM
It is indeed a big issue right now, investors get panicked, more specifically the newcomers in the business get tensed a lot faster by listening to these fake news and end up selling their shares for low prices and resulting in affecting the price of that coin. In India, most of the people I knew that had started trading last year heard the news that India has banned crypto but in reality, the government just said that they do not encourage involving in crypto in any kind and they never ordered to completely stop trading.
