201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will alts crash again ? on: December 20, 2017, 04:49:55 PM
Don't know what you consider a crash but they will retract a bit for sure the past week or so has been a bloody amazing run up it can't much longer now can it?
202  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin contribution to world economy on: December 18, 2017, 07:34:27 PM
To me by then bitcoin will be integrated into our societies and like we can pay with visa or mastercard we will then have the option to pay with bitcoin and probably a few altcoins as well. I can imagine it now what awesome times those will be... Roll Eyes Tongue
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why buy Spectrecoin? on: December 18, 2017, 07:26:46 PM
study your project a little, great potential with your privacy, now you are quoting only in cryptopia
You already surpass the x3 in a week. I was encouraged to buy 500 $ ... have as we are going for the other year

I am not sure what you are trying to say here!!

I think they are saying do your homework on Spectre because it has great privacy and get it before it moons too hard. Well it has now gone up 5x since its lowest and I am not sure if I want to hop on that train despite Spectre being a good anon coin.
204  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SEND CRYPTO PEOPLE TULIPS (when the bubble bursts.) on: December 18, 2017, 07:21:45 PM
Agree we are in a bubble or some sort but nobody knows how big of a bubble or how long this bubble will last. It could last a few more days, months, or even take us well into next year. That is what nobody knows and for me that is what makes this ride all the more fun. I am fully prepared for a big bubble burst btw and certainly haven't thought what I have is mine until I cash out.
205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What source do you check to find rising coins? on: December 18, 2017, 07:16:03 PM
Mainly bitcointalk, twitter, and coinmarketcap regularly. Apart from that I don't watch youtube channels or keep up with blogs I find that is a lot of work to do in order to stay on top of things.
206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Mana and RCN partnership news! on: December 18, 2017, 07:11:41 PM
Good news for Decentraland I am looking forward to seeing if that project actually comes to fruition this is a positive first step good for them.
207  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the current market value of BTC justified? on: December 18, 2017, 07:05:48 PM
The current market value is probably not justified by any  measure and one can speculate it will correct soon in the coming days if not prior to Christmas. That being known however who exactly owns 40% of the supply I don't recall reading about this anywhere. Infact the biggest supply I thought was held by the twins and they had around 120k Bitcoins if I recall correctly.
208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Top 10 altcoins to invest right now before price goes to the moon on: December 12, 2017, 07:12:42 PM
There are quite a few coins in this position but I would take a look at the ones from top 100-300 marketcap for the gems that are going to moon next year. I already talked about XRB and that one has taken off another few that could take off include

-MUE
-MSP
-XEL
-PAY
-MGO
-QRL
-ETC
209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which is the best way to transfer from exchange to exchange? on: December 12, 2017, 07:06:19 PM
They work just fine be careful to read the instructions prior to depositing though because some exchanges have some rules and amounts you need to have present in order to get the funds. For example on one exchange I used recently it told me if my Ethereum deposit was less than 0.1 or something the balance wouldn't show up until the amount I deposited exceeded that. Be careful but apart from that you should be okay.
210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Next x3 to x10 Coin in 2018 on: December 12, 2017, 06:59:26 PM
I got four coin suggestions for you that I think will make solid gains in 2018 and those are but not limited to and in no particular order of importance. I especially like XRB because it to me has the most potential despite its recent surge up to the top 75 as of late.

-QRL
-XRB
-PAY
-MGO
211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ONION fork on: December 12, 2017, 06:52:15 PM
The impact would probably not be good but lucky for you, that is not something you need to consider or worry about. Nothing like that will happen until the airdrops are done and even then I highly doubt a fork is going to happen. If you kept up with the project you would know this, oh and not to mention on that first page you can clearly decipher this is a joke made because of all the BTC forks that are going to happen soon.
212  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I buy bitcoin now? on: December 08, 2017, 06:04:52 PM
New user to the forums and new to Bitcoin overall, just looking for some advice. My friends have bought packs with USI-tech a few months ago when the price was around £2.5k per coin. I'm looking to get into it but just wondering when to go for it.

I've been waiting for the price to fall which it kind of has now, do I wait it out even longer for it to fork again in November? Or do I just put some money into it now. I've been doing a lot of research before I do anything but just want some opinions on here please.

I'll be as succinct as possible. If you feel like it is a good investment make it. If you feel it is a bad investment don't. Trying to heed advice of others will only confuse your mind further, listen to your gut.
213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you see alts have chances against Bitcoins? on: December 08, 2017, 05:57:26 PM
I have been seeing Bitcoins' price rising with a stability in its growth, but due to the higher mining fee that is being levied on transactions these days, big businesses are now moving their funds towards alts and taking advantage with their least fees as well as shaping a completely new economy in the trends of altcoin markets. Do you think this may harm Bitcoin's dignity and open up a chance in real for alts to rise?

Bitcoin will stay intact that is no problem but alts will have their moments here and there. The major alt run for this season is long gone but there are a few selective alts that have done and are doing well at the moment. However, it isn't an alt party like some have been suggesting for the past few months and I don't think that party is going to happen for at least another few months.
214  Other / Off-topic / Re: #morewomenincrypto on: December 08, 2017, 05:51:07 PM
I am a woman investing in crypto. I know my nick looks like it stand for "Mr" but actually M is the first letter of my first name and R is the first letter of my middle name.

My brother's girlfriend and my mom are also investing in crypto currencies but they are not in this forum. I am new to all this, but I'm sure there's a lot of women here but we just can't tell them all by their nicknames.  Wink

Good for you and the others in your life for getting involved. I know it can be intimidating to enter a world where it is mainly men in the profession but as you said nobody is going to know. I hope you could spread the awareness and positive aspect about cryptos and that you get more women involved. The more the merrier and besides that would make conferences a lot better I would think too Cheesy
215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will IOTA Moon Again? on: December 08, 2017, 05:41:43 PM
It may have gone up 10x only but you fail to realize that it came out halfway through the year as well AND already had insane gains from the ICO. I think the real gains are like 100-200x depending on when you got in because if you got in early on you absolutely crushed it with this one.
216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Keys to launch an ICO on: December 08, 2017, 05:22:50 PM
Don't forget about product or use case because if it is a coin or token for the sake of being a coin or token then you can be sure they won't be around a few years from now in crypto.
217  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What's a token ? on: December 08, 2017, 05:11:39 PM
They are essentially coins but they are created out of thin air with a smart contract generally. Most of these tokens are made on the Ethereum network and as you probably may or may not know they are called ERC20 tokens or ERC223 for some others (most are ERC20). They can also be made on other networks like Waves or Next but the simplest way to create a token is on the Ethereum network.
218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should we be worried for Altcoins? on: December 05, 2017, 01:49:41 AM
Bitcoin is on rise and getting more and more attention. This has negative effect on Altcoin, will btc kill all other cryptos?

Don't think it will because I don't think altcoins would have made it this far a few years later if Bitcoin was always going to kill them. I think alts are here to stay but their role may get minimized in the future and or some alts may day out. This does not mean alts will die and especially if an alt has an actual use case in life it has no reason to die. Dogecoin I could see dying but a coin that makes crypto spendable like TenX probably not. I could see weird obscure tokens and coins dying but what about the one that is involved with identity verification? If it has use case it probably will survive if it does not then one day or another it will likely die.
219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT THE FORK?? on: December 05, 2017, 01:35:43 AM
Bitcoin Unlimited is next? Haha omg if that one about Bitcoin God is true crypto is freaking hilarious. The thing I loved most about crypto when I got in was the open source and now it seems that has been taken advantage of and gone completely to shit. Unfortunate because I feel like this may swing Bitcoin confidence in the wrong direction.
220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: December 05, 2017, 01:02:17 AM
Hey all

I was wondering if someone could give me a quick summary of the ETC hardfork that's happening ?

Thanks

Well yes I can give you a summary but not of ETC hardfork because that doesn't exist. ETC is a hardfork of ETH and the misconception that has been floating around lately is that ETC will hardfork next week but that is not true. What is happening is an upgrade to the current policy which will in turn reduce block rewards. That is the jist of it, but by no means is this a hardfork!
