201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If Musk doesn't tweet Dogecoin, can it still soar? on: May 18, 2021, 05:42:12 PM
Dogecoin is a coin without team and core technology, but Musk made it appear in the general public. Many people who are not cryptocurrency traders are buying Dogecoin, just like buying BTC. Why does it succeed? Is it just because of Musk? Dogira, Shiba, HOGE, who will be the next Dogecoin?

Or is there only only one unique Dogecoin?

Don't expect other meme coins like Shiba to go to the moon as dogecoin is currently moving. The only reason why there is so much hype about doge is because of Elon Musk and i am sure he won't pump other meme coins. I see many new meme coins coming in the market saying they are doge killer, believe me they are not.

So are you suggesting that we should stop using these merit requirement to rank up ?
No, that's not what I said. You have to read the part of darklus123's post that I quoted and I am responding to. He suggested that only users with a minimum of 10 merits should be allowed to upvote posts. That's what I am against, not against the current merit system.

Yes, now i understand your point of view as it was not clear to me before  Smiley

203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ApeSwap Vs PancakeSwap on: May 18, 2021, 03:42:50 PM
In my opinion, ApeSwap is a project with bright ideas and they are different from PAncakeSwap. however, I still doubt if ApeSwap replaces PancakeSwap

ApeSwap is a promising project but once thing concerns me that recently it pumped to over ten dollars and now it is dumped to around four dollars. Why there is so much dump in its price ?  I agree that all the altcoins are dumping in the market but we do not see more than 50% dump in pancakeswap and other coins  Huh

I would take this as a big buying opportunity rather than thinking something negative about the project. Due to the recent market dump, the newest project suffer more because they have less community and holders. People prefer to hold coins which are old and have large marketcap. I like this project and will be loading up more on ApeSwap.

205  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 'The Simpsons' know who Satoshi Nakamoto is! on: May 18, 2021, 01:37:58 PM
I think they don't know. Because if anyone knew Satoshi's identity, I think they would have disclosed it already. I think Satoshi is either a top secret person or he is no longer alive. But who knows, maybe it will reveal itself in the future.

Whatever they know they always reveal in their cartoons. This means even the Simpsons don't know who was Satoshi.
Also don't have any hope if satoshi will reveal himself any day. Those who claim to be satoshi are all fake.
206  Other / Meta / Re: Need help about account on: May 18, 2021, 01:21:01 PM
I have a question in general.
OP told us that his original account is blocked and he wanted to start again with a new account which is obviously not allowed on the forum.

What if he didn't told us about this fact and start posting with a new account ? There is no way to tell then if a person was banned previously and now using a new account ?
207  Other / Meta / Re: Why are "Likes" turned off in this forum? on: May 18, 2021, 01:08:36 PM
Maybe if we set upvoting function rules like only allowing upvotes to those people who got more than 10 merits or something might lessen the spamming activity but not guaranteed. upvotes can then be considered as one good criterion if the post is worth merit points.
That is still an unnecessary complication that we really can do without on this forum. I think we have bigger problems to solve than introducing likes and upvotes.

That 10 merit requirement is unfair towards newbies and jr. members and might be considered as a newbie jail. theymos has stated he is against introducing a newbie jail and I support such a decision. If there were upvotes and likes on Bitcointalk, newbies should have the option to upvote and have their posts liked and upvoted as well.

So are you suggesting that we should stop using these merit requirement to rank up ?
I don't know how upvotes or likes can help prevent the spam. Merit system is being tested for few years now and has proved to be efficient.

Find out why he thinks you should Diversify Your Portfolio to include Phore and Graphene below!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RD4k4DBO6Ns

That's very nice video in which he has mentioned in detail about both the projects ,Phore and Graphene. Anyone who is new here and need some detail information about the team and project, this 30 mins video is worth watching.

Why are "Likes" turned off in this forum?

Just wondering.

Because:   when likes are turned off I feel like I need to comment instead, which makes things even noisier in forum threads.

In bitcointalk you can consider  Likes = Merit, as the more you like the post you can give merits to the post. Unlike likes which are usually unlimited in number, you won't have unlimited merits to send.
Also with likes, you should also have dislikes but here there is no alternative of dislike as you can't show your expression if you disliked a post.
210  Other / Meta / Re: How to hide Elon Musk topics? Reqest for userscript on: May 17, 2021, 03:19:45 PM
Things have gotten out of control. I wanted to read some topics and 90% of them are talking about Elon Musk directly or indirectly. Angry Angry Angry it is Bitcointalk not Elonmusk trolling.

Well, its the influence of Elon Musk which is causing the price movement in bitcoin. So at the present moment, unfortunately we cannot discuss about the price movement in bitcoin without taking Elon Musk in consideration.
You can stop reading the threads which have Elon Musk in the title, but then Elon Musk is everywhere even in the WO thread.  Angry
211  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anybody here sell their Gold to buy Bitcoin? on: May 16, 2021, 11:58:08 AM
Selling gold to buy bitcoin is not a good idea. Gold is expensive and its price is increasing, so we must keep it. As for Bitcoin, we can buy it with a portion of the money that we would like to lose, The best is to keep the gold and bitcoin for the long term.
If you entry is good then you will end up loosing anything in any market. Bitcoin is a high risk investment if you are investing right now when the price is above $60k and so is the case with gold as it is also riding a rally, in short any asset you invest when the market is pumping has its own risk and gold has some fundamentals basically they are trading for centuries while bitcoin is just a decade old and hence the volatility is high.

I would have sold anything to enter bitcoin at the right moment but not anytime soon.
Investing in crypto is of high risk but people tried to manage it for the sake that they wanted to earn money faster compared to other investments.
Yes, Bitcoin just exists for more than a decade but it has already proven to be a good investment. In fact, some millionaires are jumping into crypto for that reason. Maybe we could say that selling our Gold for Bitcoin is not a good idea but if we think about "OPPORTUNITY" many people had to that.

I don't have gold with me but if i had i would have sold gold to buy more bitcoins. Bitcoin has more potential to grow as compare to gold.
When people say that bitcoin is digital gold, its means that in future bitcoin may flip the marketcap of gold.
212  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is Easy dont be afraid just on: May 16, 2021, 11:06:26 AM
It's not easy

You said trading is easy because we're on bullish trend and you're lucky to take profit before dump. When someone made profit, there's always a people will loss since he buy on the peak or high price. Those people who bought Bitcoin on $60K before still loss right now if he don't sell it, but there's a high chance he will profit if he keep holding. And yeah it's not a trading anymore but a investment. That's why investment is better than trading since you don't need to panic and always watching the price, it will cause mental health for your body.

Well If its bull its bull.
Only You have to make as much Now that You have alot money on bear market to buy dips.
Lucky or not at the End Only matters how much money You make out of this Rubbissh called crypto*

In bull market, even if your coins goes down, if you hold them in your spot wallet there are likely chance that it will recover. But in bear market, the coin most goes down and take a lot harder from them to recover. Trading is relatively easy in bull market as compare to the bear market.
213  Other / Meta / Re: what is the easiest way to see bitcointalk on a mobile? on: May 16, 2021, 10:12:38 AM
I find it hard when looking at bitcointalk  in a browser on a mobile. I am wondering is there an app or recommended browser that is more mobile device friendly?

There is no official app being developed for bitcointalk yet. i wonder if the dev are working on it ?
I tired to use bitcointalk on my browser on my mobile however it is easy to read but difficult to reply (type) on mobile.
214  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online gambling becomes popular on: May 16, 2021, 07:23:42 AM
I think it isn't just gambling but anything online has been becoming popular due to covid-19.
Online gambling and online shopping has been popular because of covid-19 we don't want to risk our health and go to some places just to enjoy so most of us do it online.
Even some gambling games that is only done on local places has been put online.

Although many businesses suffered during the covid-19 lockdown but we saw a boom in the gambling industry in the form of online gambling. Even though the physical casino's were closed, but we saw that people used online gambling to spend their time. Even once the all the physical casino will get open, people will still prefer to play online at their convivence.
215  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk Token on: May 16, 2021, 07:05:53 AM
The forum must create it's native token and distribute them to members based on their activities.
Tokens must be transferable among forum members but should not be listed on any exchange.

Although the ticker btt is already taken, we can have btf that stands for bitcointalk forum.
Any crypto project planning to run their airdrop or bounty campaign must buy these tokens first from forum. This will give forum another stream of revenue generation.
This will also prevent scam projects from running bounty and running away without paying.

This is a good idea if it can be done because the rate at which people are been scammed in bitcointalk forum is just too rampant am sure this will further regulate this community. And also I suggested this will not only for any one coming here for project advert it should equally affect any new registering member.

How would the bitcointalk token will help to stop people posting scam services or stop the overall scam ? This makes no sense.
Also there is a proper system of ranking up and we don't need a token for that purpose. Obviously we not going to give free tokens based on the activities and merits Cheesy
216  Economy / Services / Re: [NSFW 18+] Custom female Fansigns on: May 16, 2021, 06:15:09 AM
The models can change from time to time, without notice

Can you tell us who will be the models from which you have done agreement for this service ?

Sorry for this question but why should someone need to pay for fansign from random models when they can Easily Edit the Photo to make it looks like a fansign? this is a free service we can find in internet.

and if there is someone that i will be requiring to have a Fan Sign , then this will be famous and Starts and not randomly.

I think he will provide fansigns with real models because i think no one will be willing to pay for photoshoped fansigns.
217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PHR] PHORE BLOCKCHAIN - Private Decentralized Marketplace & Ecosystem. POS/MN. on: May 16, 2021, 06:04:39 AM
I believe that Phore is a long-term project, so the drop of 20% today could be irrelevant in a large time frame where the phore marketplace could gain a slice of the online shopping market and where Graphene will become a reference platform among dev.
I remembered the first snapshot helped PHORE rose and got higher price than $0.5. It is abnormal as the more snapshots, the lower price this coin has.

No offence as I still hold my PHORE coins. I hold it because I get low money if I sell it at this moment. The coin season will be expanded longer and PHORE will have its turn to get pumps.

This coin will need some news with technical developments to rise, not only rely on snapshots.

I think phore team is doing good work for the project but they lack in listing of phore in some major top ranked exchanges. If they could focus on listing it on big exchanges, that will bring more volume and hence we may see more adaption.
218  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: I need PayPal on: May 16, 2021, 05:43:59 AM
Hello there! friend. I don't need to explain. Naturally there are people who understand.

So you think there are super humans who will understand what you are looking for.
It would have been much better if you would have clearly written that you will pay 120$ fee in addition to 600$ paypal transfer.
219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you lend your cryptocurrencies? on: May 16, 2021, 05:23:16 AM
Certainly there are risks, but I use DeFi
I also use CeFi on the Binance exchange
These bring solid revenue

I am not lend my crypto to any individual but i will more than happy to stake my crypto in centralized platforms like binance to earn regular interest from it.
You can do yield farming or provide liquidity and earn good returns which are way better than the returns which may be received from fiat banks.
220  Other / Off-topic / Re: I got vaccinated today on: May 15, 2021, 10:14:22 AM
I have got my first Dose earlier today , and i felt nothing but normal so i think those afraid of the vaccine must be consider trying to keep the vaccine in their.

Did you feel any sort of fever after getting the first dose of vaccine ?
My elder brother and few of my family members got the vaccine but they got high fever after getting vaccinated. I wonder if this is normal ?
