201  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin Fee Observer Thread in USD(sat/vB) on: November 19, 2023, 06:47:53 AM

202  Local / Pilipinas / Re: PCSO Idinemanda Ang Isang Blockchain Company on: November 19, 2023, 06:36:27 AM

205  Economy / Economics / Re: Life is cheaper with Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general on: November 18, 2023, 11:23:59 PM
I don't know about you guys, but for me, I have discovered that the longer one save in fiat, that is, hold fiat, the more life gets expensive, this is because fiat is known to lose value overtime for several reasons, when fiat loses value, they lose purchasing power, goods and services become more expensive, which in turn makes life more expensive.

This experience I coined from the current economic hardship my country is going through.
The naira lost significant value against some other major fiat currencies, most especially the dollar, this has made things in the country very expensive, which has also made life very expensive to live here in Nigeria.

But for those who have been saving investing, saving in bitcoin, and maybe some other major cryptocurrencies, life is cheaper as we all have seen that overtime, the price of bitcoin increases, and when this happens, major altcoins too experience the boom, thereby making good profit for those who spent fiat accumulating when the prices are low.

This is why I personally implore us all to be wise in how we choose to save our money,
Keep one million dollars in the bank for 10 years, by the time the 10 years is over, you pull out your one million and discover it can't buy much because things are no longer at the same price as they were 10 years ago.

But keep one million dollars in bitcoin for 10 years, by the end of the 10 years, one million dollars must have turned into 5 million dollars or more, and even if things have become more expensive in the market, this money will pay for it all and you will still have a lot of money left to do other things.

Yes, you are right there, dude. That is the nature of Bitcoin; it can provide good future savings in terms of financial stability, or sometimes, in other cryptocurrency, it gives an opportunity to achieve others dreams in life.

And there are many people who have proven it here and who have also been helped to somehow move their lives forward. That's why others, whether they admit it or not, are already addicted to putting money in the bank; even if they have something in the bank, it won't hurt their eyes or pocket. Because they saw potential that was the opposite of the bank.
206  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are there fewer women Than men involved in Bitcoin? on: November 17, 2023, 10:47:36 PM
When I checked the statistics of women who are into Bitcoin and found out that they are less than 10%, it surprised me seriously. It is understandable when we see fewer women than men in sectors that require physical energy to carry out work activity like the military or in the engineering sector but when you still see this same work force difference in the tech and Bitcoin space that they can comfortably do at the comfort of there home, it gets me curious to know the reason that might have been responsible for this huge gap.

I would appreciate if we can talk about this here. What could be responsible for this?

Where did you get the figures where the woman is smaller? Is there any record that can be shown to prove that there are fewer women here in cryptocurrency?

Then one more thing: given the fact that there are fewer women in the cryptocurrency field, I don't see a problem with that either. Why is there a problem if they only have a little OP? What is your point on the topic you have chosen?
207  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Nirerecomend Mo Ba Ang Article Na Ito Sa Mga Baguhan Sa Bitcoin on: November 15, 2023, 02:24:09 PM

208  Economy / Economics / Re: Boycotting iSrAEl's product? think again. on: November 15, 2023, 02:13:49 PM
It's not a good idea to boycott those products, actually, because those products are actually beneficial to the whole world. And then there are also many employees who are given factories too.

That means why would you boycott those products if in your own country the majority of people where you live are benefiting from them, including government officials and rich people all over the world?
209  Economy / Economics / Re: Agriculture vs oil on: November 15, 2023, 02:03:43 PM
Here in our country, I saw something on the news just a while ago that there might be a problem with the supply of oil here because of the conflicts that are happening in the country of Israel, is it between IRAQ or SAUDI, as long as one of those two countries supplies the oil to us.

So it means that there will also be an oil crisis here, so it is probably a big problem now that our government is probably concerned about here, although I don't see any problem in agriculture here, to be honest.
210  Economy / Gambling / Re: what are the best crypto casinos! on: November 15, 2023, 01:52:27 PM
I've been in the crypto space for a few years now, and I just found out about the dice crypto calculator. That seems to be of no use either. What is that? Can it be used to correctly predict what you will bet on in those dice games?

Even in any casino here in crypto, there is no 100% accuracy that you will always win when you play gambling. Isn't it just luck for us gamblers if we win here in the crypto gambling business? It means to ignore what is said to be a technique.

212  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never gamble in front of your kids. on: November 15, 2023, 01:31:53 PM

Are these underaged children really victims of gambling, or they are victims of hostage of financial situation in their family or surrounding? Kids get lured by gambling as they only see easy and quick money there. If they would see quick and easy money in jobs, or drug dealing (worst scenario), then they wont gamble. I am 99% sure, that these underaged gambling kids are from poor familiar mostly. And I had to admin, that I have never saw a kid from rich parents gamble and being crazy about it. So imho that is all because of money, not because they saw someone play entertaining games with cards, chips or slots.

There are children who are influenced to gamble by their parents and you can search it on Google, especially those kids who are living in the slums because there are no regulations there as long as you have money. Back then where I resided, they played billiards and were able to beat adults with their skills but some of them got bullied and stole their money from them. That's why environment and community matter whenever you want to save your children from such kind of scenario because even though you're not a gambler if almost everyone in the community is a gambler, there's a low chance to save your children from them.

I think the thing that usually happens is that often the children who gamble underage; maybe it's the squatters' areas. Because, of course, only poor people live in this kind of place. And unemployed people, so their only resource to make money is to gamble in different ways.

Because here in our country, you can gamble in many ways, one of which is in billiards, pool, tong-its, basketball, and others. But in areas that are not squatter areas, children who gamble at a young age are rare. So it's only right that we really monitor our children.
213  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How did you overcome the hurdles and gain confidence to trade as a Newbie? on: November 15, 2023, 01:15:51 PM
Entering the world of Bitcoin trading can be both exciting and daunting, especially for newcomers. The volatile nature of cryptocurrency markets and the plethora of information available can sometimes overwhelm new traders.

Todays question i would share how we overcame these hurdles and gain confidence to trade as a Newbie?.

You know, I have seen many newbies who entered the crypto industry full of confidence, and because of that confidence, do you know that many of these newbies just lost their cryptocurrency investments because of the lack of knowledge here?

It means that confidence is not enough; the others did it with confidence, and they looked at it like a gamble that even if they have no idea, they can earn luck just by trading, something that is not good and a wrong view.
214  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop Trading on: November 15, 2023, 12:58:05 PM
I think this is some of the best advice that someone has given me. The major reason most people are willing to invest in or take risks in the crypto market is because they have financial pressure. The financial problems make them blind and definitely lead them to make stupid decisions. Especially because they are urged to take a step without even being aware of the real situations happening around them. People in that position are willing to take any risk to get rid of their problems, but that risk has cost them a lot.And the series of successes is the energy or fuel they get to go on. We can't say to give up after success, but be more cautious about your next move.
I don't think like that. Those who are financially stressed will be distracted from planning investments. it won't go well.
Those who plan investments are of course those who have financial strength. so if the investment does not go according to plan it will not affect the finances.
Investing is not gambling. In fact, I have seen incidents like this happen to many frustrated gamblers who want to double their money instantly.
Investing and trading are not gambling but it went to that situation if that person has no knowledge about it. Many people underestimate the market volatility, they'll though that knowing the basics is trading is just okay but that is not how trading works because if this is only what is in our mind, we'd better stop doing this as it results in losses. We can't force ourselves to become a trader unless we have the courage and willingness to change our wrong mindset and market approach.

Actually, when a trader is unable to control his emotions, it would really lead to losing their crypto assets. Until now, many individual traders still experienced that.

Why do they experience that? That's because they lack ideas and knowledge, because if they only knew how to handle our emotions correctly, they wouldn't just panic when something unexpected happens in the market, that's for sure. Our emotions are part of our traditional activity.
215  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How much was the price of Bitcoin when you started trading? on: November 15, 2023, 12:48:42 PM
What I got was around 235 dollars in bitcoin, at that time, I didn't know anything about bitcoin. It's just that the only thing on my mind at that time was the luck of having a lot of money to buy bitcoin at that time. It's like, at that time, I was jealous of those who had money because I believed in bitcoin and that its value would really increase.

That's why I was nothing during those times, because I didn't have a job during those times either. But it's really like that, just from time to time. Now, I hope I can experience a good profit during this upcoming bull run.
216  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the right age for financial stability? on: November 15, 2023, 03:22:38 AM
The financial stability of anybody can come at any stage, people cannot save when they don't have any source of income, young people are always financially unstable because at that stage they hardly get jobs to keep them stable and most times because of the youthful exuberance some of them are indulge in, they find financial stability or savings as something that is not in their immediate needs.
At the age of 18, it is expected that that person is still studying, that is to say the person is a student, and  we all know the financial burden that always comes up with being a student, so it's always not easy to start saving at that age, because you don't have a steady income.
Financial stability can come only when you have and income, and you can save and make financial decisions based on income.

Regular income is needed to ensure financial stability. Sometimes pleasure drives people away from saving, and we see this more often in young people. You are right about the financial burden of being a student. Sometimes we expect those young people to do a lot.

I'm sure those young people also want to achieve their goals in terms of financial stability, but resources may not allow this. I think most young people will take smart steps to ensure their financial stability when they find a job and earn an income.

Most students are very cunning and aggressive when it comes to these matters, and this cunning can also bring them good results and bad results as well. So that means that these students should be guided correctly, in my opinion.

Therefore, to know the right age to discover financial stability, they must still have enough knowledge about it, and having a good job is only one of the ways for them.
217  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blackrock ETF Discussion on: November 15, 2023, 03:12:09 AM
The step made by Blackrock in the Bitcoin ETF application in DTCCC is undeniable; it really had an impact on the rise of the price value of Bitcoin. And because of this, many investors really hope that this Blackrock ETF will be approved in Sec.

But, even so, there is still no guarantee that it will be approved because, based on the history that we know, most or all applications are rejected. And this time in Blackrock, they will probably do delaying tactics here, for sure, as they are doing here currently.
218  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto or Forex? on: November 15, 2023, 02:55:43 AM
Hello,
What are the Advantages and Disadvantages of the Crypto and Forex? Why should anyone choose Crypto over Forex?

Thank you.

The two are very different and they will never be the same. Although Forex was ahead of crypto but in this instance it seems that cryptocurrency has overtaken Forex in the short time that has passed in my opinion. These are their pros and cons.

Quote
Cryptocurrency

Pros:

Decentralization: Cryptocurrency is not controlled by any government or financial institution, which can make it more attractive to people who are distrustful of traditional financial systems.
Borderlessness: Cryptocurrency can be used to send and receive money anywhere in the world, which can be a major advantage for people who live in countries with restrictive financial systems.
Transparency: All cryptocurrency transactions are recorded on a public blockchain, which can help to prevent fraud and corruption.
Potential for high returns: Cryptocurrency is a relatively new asset class, and its price can fluctuate wildly. This volatility can lead to high returns for investors, but it also carries a high risk of loss.

Cons:

Volatility: Cryptocurrency is a volatile asset, and its price can fluctuate wildly. This volatility can make it a risky investment.
Regulation: Cryptocurrency is still a relatively new asset class, and there is still a lot of uncertainty about how it will be regulated. This uncertainty can make it difficult for investors to know where to stand.
Security: Cryptocurrency exchanges and wallets have been hacked in the past, and these events have caused investors to lose money.

Forex

Pros:

Liquidity: Forex is the most liquid market in the world, with trillions of dollars traded every day. This liquidity makes it easy for investors to enter and exit the market.
Accessibility: Forex is a very accessible market, and there are many different ways to trade it. This makes it a good option for investors of all levels of experience.
Potential for high returns: Forex can be a very profitable market for investors who are able to consistently make profitable trades.

Cons:

Risk: Forex is a risky market, and investors can lose money if they are not careful.
Leverage: Forex brokers often offer leverage, which can allow investors to control a much larger amount of money than they actually have. This can be very profitable, but it can also lead to significant losses if the investor makes a mistake.
Regulation: The forex market is regulated in many countries, but the level of regulation varies. This can make it difficult for investors to know where to stand.

I just want to emphasize that crypto and forex both have the same risk involved, so anyone who tries these two needs to be prudent no matter what they choose to invest in.

219  Economy / Economics / Re: How to survive hyperinflation? on: November 15, 2023, 02:09:24 AM
It is not easy to live during hyperinflation, to be honest, but for the beggars who have no money and only rely on alms or help from others, they are not affected by it, but they are used to it, and they are actually going through severe hyperinflation. But they are still able to survive because they still fight and find ways to survive.

If these people can do it, especially we people who are not beggars who live in the world, especially if you are here in cryptocurrency, you can say that you are a middle-class type of person because the internet is not free in cryptocurrency. When it is done, this is your source of income. Am I correct, or do I have a point?
