My rig will be quite far away from me.
It will get internet access via usb internet key with dynamic ip.
No same subnet, no chance to guess the external ip.

Need someting like teamweaver to reach the rig no matter what.
I need someting like remote desktop, but I also need something that resolves the dynamic ip.
Team viewer has both these features, but keep crashing at startup on bamt.

non si presenta più ma teamviewer continua a chiudersi pochi secondi dopo l'avvio.

Ho provato a installare una vecchia versione ( la 7 )
Si installa, si avvia, accetta il collegamento... ma poi non muove il mouse ne fa il refresh dello schermo.

Teamviewer should save me from guess out the ip I have to connect to, otherwise with ssh I always need to know the external IP (not an option).

Hello,
I'm still in the testing zone and I need teamviewer on BAMT to control the rig (not same subnet, different locations).

I started here. http://www.teamviewer.com/en/download/linux.aspx
I download teamviewer_linux.deb
sudo dpkg -i teamviewer_linux.deb
(no missing dependencies).

Teamviewer 8 appears in my program bar.
If I run it, it shows the first windows and after a couple of second the program get terminated.

Here the log.
Any help will be appreciated Smiley

Note: I also tried teamviewer 7. It does not crash, but I does not work properly (no mouse on the screen, no screen refresh and so on)

Con quattro, salvo underclock, si satura l'alimentatore da 1200w.
Per metterne 5, o si fa un downvolt (ma su linux è dura) oppure bisogna aggiungere un altro alimentatore.
Oppure comprarne uno da 1600w
Per metterne 6... secondo me un 1800w. (1200+650).
Cmq altre persone sono moooolto più esperte di me Smiley

 Sto cercando di installare  teamviever 8 su BAMT 1.1.
Seguendo la pagina ufficiale http://www.teamviewer.com/en/help/363-How-do-I-install-TeamViewer-on-my-Linux-distribution.aspx#other

sudo dpkg -i teamviewer_linux.deb
Il pacchetto scaricato si installa e compare teamviewer nel menu.
Clicco, lo avvio, si apre la finestra iniziale... ma poi il programma viene terminato dopo pochi secondi.

In allegato il log di errore.
Qualche suggerimento?
Non vengono segnalate missing dependencies durante l'installazione.

[edit: non so bene come gestire la cosa, visto che il forum è bitcoin, ma volevo offrire un bounty di 0.5 LTC per chi risolve il problema. Purtroppo non ho BTC, mino solo scrypt e mi rendo conto che 0.5 son ben poca cosa considerato che valgono quanto un caffé Smiley ]

restart mining session anche a me fa qualche casino a volte.
Non sempre si riavvia correttamente.
Meglio fare stop e poi start.
Oppure, nel caso di cambiamenti grossi, fare un bel reboot.


E.g. quando setto autofan, se poi cambio i parametri e riavvio solo cgminer, le ventole non rispondono.
Riavviando il rig tutto si sistema.

E' capitata la stessa identica cosa anche a me. A me era capitato passando da bfgminer a cgminer e viceversa utilizzando lo stesso file .conf
Anche io non ho mai notato nessuno differenza e non penso che il file .conf caricato "parzialmente" crei dei problemi perché tutto funzionava cmq bene...però alla fine l'importante è risolvere  Wink

Nemmeno nel file precedente avevo failover-only : true, eppure ogni tanto mi sembra swtichasse alla pool di backup.
Quindi mi chiedo, faiover-only serve?
Leggendo mi pare di capire che le pool di backup siano comunque attive e che il failover serva solo ad evitare di distribuire lavoro sulle pool alternative senza che sia assolutamente necessario.

Nel mio caso, usando 3 pool dello stesso servizio (wemineltc.com), meglio che "perda" sulle altre pool piuttosto che aspetti di vedere se il lag si risolve.

Il file di configurazione nel mio primo post, dava errore e veniva caricato parzialmente.

Come dicevo questo file viene caricato senza errori ma ha un problema.
Abbassa il clock della gpu per mantenere la temperatura (col vecchio file di conf nn succedeva).
Ho risolto editando alcune impostazioni (auto gpu e gpu engine) creando il file che segue (attivo in questo momento).
Quest'ultimo file viene caricato senza problemi, gestisce la temperatura delle GPU solo con le fan e tutto fila liscio sia dal punto dei mhs sia dal punto delle temp.

Però non capisco perché questo va e il mio primo file di configurazione dava errore!
E' come giocare a "trova la differenza"!

 mi stavo preparando ad aggiornare il client ufficiale di litecoin, ma non trovo sul sito nessuna info per verificare il certificato con cui è stata eseguita la firma.
Sul server l'eseguibile risulta firmato da security@litecoin.org - key 969276F5 ma non trovo da nessuna parte ne le info sulla key ne il fingerprint.

Fai una cosa, fai un backup del file .config, poi con aperto cgminer crea un nuovo file .config con i tasti (S + W + INVIO).
Ti crea un nuovo file .config con le impostazioni del vecchio e dovrebbe correggere eventuali errori.

Il mio seasonic 1200 ha la fan in testa, anche i coolermaster e i corsair mi sembra.
Poi non saprei, io ho comprato il seasonic perché tutte le guide lo riportavano come il migliore (in rapporto al prezzo).
Una possibile soluzione *per tutti* sarebbe prevedere il PSU in posizione sdraiata su un lato, in modo che la ventola butti su un lato e non sopra o sotto.
In questo modo con slot simmetrici uno a dx e uno a sx puoi montare qualsiasi alimentatore rispettando il desing per l'airflow.

Ho notato che all'avvio cgminer segnala un errore:
config file partially load... start cgminer -T.
La scritta appare velocemente e viene subito coperta dalla lista di share accepted.
A parte ciò cgminer si avvia e funziona tutto perfettamente, le mie schede vanno molto bene, no errori hw, l'hash è stabile, i rejected sono sotto 1%.

Tuttavia mi piacerebbe capire e risolvere questo errore: qualcuno sa come fare?
Ve lo chiedo perché sto per trasportare il rig nella destinazione definitiva e vorrei fosse tutto sistemato (andare poi a fare manutenzione non sarebbe comodissimo).
E' vero che tutto funziona comunque bene, però ho notato per puro caso quel piccolo errore e mi sto chiedendo da cosa possa dipendere.

Forse lo spazio è poco ottimizzato, il ripiano sul fondo è occupato solo dal PSU. Magari si potrebbe spostare da qualche altra parte per ridurre le dimensioni totali.

Cmq se posso suggerire, sempre pensando ad un eventuale acquisto, io prevederei bulloni e rondelle per il fissaggio dei profilati. Cosi puoi spedirlo smontato (limitando l'ingombro e le spese di spedizione) e si assembla facile.
