Amazing.How's going?

Latest Version of Keyhotee Alpha for Windows and Linux here

http://invictus.io/bin/keyhotee_0.5.6.gz

For a daily update with detailed progress info about Keyhotee development, you can visit the github repo at the links below:

https://github.com/InvictusInnovations/keyhotee/issues?state=closed

Dan Notestein is in charge of Keyhotee development atm as Daniel Larimer is working on Bitshares X.

The new Keyhotee alpha release 0.5.6 is available here: http://invictus.io/bin/keyhotee_0.5.6.zip
Linux release to follow tomorrow, assuming no major problem reports.

This version fixes the "send to wrong contact" bug introduced in 0.5.5 that was causing emails to be lost, plus many other smaller bug fixes.

One change you'll note if you create a new profile is that there's less info requested on profile creation. There's also a mail server icon that reports the status of your connection to the mail server (it's beside the bitshares "plug" that currently reports "disconnected" for alpha testers unless you're running a special build).

There's a new feature for selecting a contact from your contact list and emailing it to other users for import into their contact list (new contact is sent as an attachment that can be selected for import by recipient). In another day or so, this will be updated to send multiple contacts. There's also an authorization feature that will ultimately be used for a couple of things (sharing transaction keys for increased privacy transactions, direct connect IM, etc), but this feature doesn't yet do much on the surface.

Now that the hectic support activity from Keyhotee founder ids has settled down, I've been diving into the existing code for keyhotee ID mining. Getting that operational is the next major task for me. I have a rough idea of what needs to be done, but I'm still mapping out the details before I make major changes.

charging a fee makes this more like a scam.

it looks like Violation the bitshares source code license

it looks like Violation the bitshares source code license

Big scam. The owner of this thread is only posted 4. Just a few sentences without any white paper and even thoughts.

So I guess this thread is over since it doesn't comply with BitShare licence.

Hi guys this is a scam

This is a scam DO NOT SPEND MONEY WITH THESE GUYS

Scam? Why?We r not the bad duplicators,we r just the followers.
Unless you can provide details of your team, their previous work etc we will have to consider this a scam.

Bottom line is why should anyone trust you? Why don't you provide your real name, location, the people you are partnering with, a list of contact information etc. or even a coherent plan?

The creators of Bitshares have been extremely open about the project from the very beginning and very open about who they are, and they still are, just check out their website and forum. There has been a continuous possibility to invest in Bitshares X since november with PTS (Protoshares). PTS had a fair launch and has been in the top 10 on coinmarketcap since it was listed available for anyone to check out.

Why would your clone be more fair?

It is a giant endeavor. I hope you really have the financial resource and manpower to make a steady progress.

They certainly do now!

When Do you think will We be able to buy  Ether coin?

We haven't announced anything yet, but we are looking an Ether pre-sale likely to take place during March.

How many days/weeks of notice will you give for the pre-sale?

Watching The Office UK right at the time when it came out was an epic experience. It felt like suddenly everyone realized something new.

Imagine suddenly seeing X as a joke. What is incomprehensible is that NOTHING and yet EVERYTHING has changed. (1948, aged 59)

I know exactly what you mean, Gervais & Merchant kinda created their own original genre that has been copied so many times now, but I'm confused by the bolded second part of your posthaha/

"WittTweets" started twittering Wittgenstein's autobiography over the course of a few months a few years back. It was quite fun to follow the tweets - it felt like he sort of came alive. Smiley

I take the idea to be that one can see the same thing in a completely new light, without being able to pinpoint what has changed. And seeing something suddenly as a joke is an excellent example of this, for when you try to explain *why* it is funny, it is extremely difficult.

I remember seeing The Office with my mom and brother, and my brother and I got it at the same time, while my mother didn't, and try as we might it was impossible to describe why it was funny.
211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitshares, Ethereum and Mastercoin Three-way Panel Discussion on: March 01, 2014, 07:35:26 PM
The legal obstacle some of these companies faces is significant. But the potential for growth is there despite even regulations, as was demonstrated by the rise of BitTorrent. If one can securely store and exchange value on the net practically for free, and perhaps even with Bitshares X store value in a crypto-asset pegged to the value of the dollar or gold, then I can see it rising in spite of prohibitions. It might slow down the process as individuals will stay cautions, but nevertheless.

I think the "confidence in Bitcoin" is part of the rather insubstantial emotional swings of the market. If you look at the long time charts we are uncannily close to right where we should be at this point. Perhaps I'm just religiously bullish but I see bitcoin being right on track to 1000 dollars by August.

Was thinking about it, then decided it would be too much hassle.

...

*Phew*
213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Bitshares, Ethereum and Mastercoin Three-way Panel Discussion on: March 01, 2014, 03:16:19 PM
I couldn't find any thread concerning this epic discussion. What do you guys think about the Bitcoin 2.0 race? They all seem to transition away from proof of work as the main means of security.

Other than that I try to invest a little bit in all of these guys, including NXT, eMunie, Counterparty, etc. hoping one of them becomes perhaps as Bitcoin is now. With the corroding trust in centralized exchange, perhaps 2014 is the time for these technologies? What do you guys think?

215  Local / Skandinavisk / Er desentraliserte børser og banker neste steg for Crypto? on: March 01, 2014, 02:42:10 PM

"Capitalism 2.0".
216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PTS] February 28th Bitshares X Snapshot! on: March 01, 2014, 02:24:04 PM
Done! Value of PTS is now transfered to Bitshares X, which will launch in 2-3 weeks time.
217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PTS] February 28th Bitshares X Snapshot! on: February 27, 2014, 11:30:26 AM
Could someone explain to me what I have to do before Feb. 28?  I have PTS in my cryptsy account right now...

I'm downloading and sync-ing the windows PTS client right now and will transfer the PTS there when done.  Is this all I need to do for now?

Yes. Once your PTS is in your private wallet you just have to wait for the snapshot to be taken. Once the snapshot is taken your private wallet (key) has an associated number of Bitshares XT.

Note that you can't claim these shares until Bitshares XT is launched (around The Ides of March (15th)). Also note that you don't lose your PTS when the snapshot is taken. You can do whatever you want with your PTS after the snapshot, as long as you keep the private wallet (key).

By the time Bitshares XT launches there will be several user-friendly guides to help you claim your shares. If you have any other questions feel free to send me a message.

I was drawn to Invictus purely by being interested in their ideas from articles such as The Three Laws of Robotics, Is Bitcoin Overpaying for False Security? and DACs That Spawn DACs.

More recently the updated Bitshares X whitepaper was released. They also recently released their February newsletter, worth reading for those interested in the progress of Invictus as a company. They also recently got a new website in connection to their attendance at the Miami Bitcoin Conference. Here's a video of a three-way panel with Daniel Larimer and a representative of Mastercoin and Ethereum at that conference. The website will be revamped and improved within the next month.

Both Daniel Larimer and his father Stan Larimer have been extremely open and published all their ideas. Daniel Larimer helped set the bounty for the most popular Bitcoin video ever made.
