201  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: October 09, 2023, 03:32:14 PM
Previously I saw very small odds for betting on Bayern Munich winning and maybe it is true that this time Bayern Munich will again achieve quite a big win even though the opponent is Freiburg. Bayern Munich even managed to score two quick goals from Leroy Sane in the first half and Leroy Sane almost recorded a hat trick in this match but unfortunately his third goal was disallowed by VAR.

Bayern Munich dominated throughout the match and there were no gaps for Freiburg to attack or even control the flow of the game. This result still keeps Bayern Munich from moving from their initial position and they still have a gap with Stuttgart and Leverkusen in the standings, this will be an exciting competition for this season.

If I am not mistaken, about Freiburg in the previous few seasons, it seems like Freiburg can always play and or give a good fight too at least in the top six. But yes, it seems that this season Freiburg does not have its best form and thus, Freiburg is not in the competition at least in the top six . Because indeed, the odds available before the match starts also strongly indicate that Freiburg seems to have been confirmed to lose. So yes, the odds were proven because Freiburg lost by Bayern Munich with a score of 3-0. Even worse, Freiburg really could not make a good effort and or could not also provide good resistance in this match, and it was clearly a very bad statistic for Freiburg in this match.

We have witnessed the dominance of the home team. They attacked and applied constant pressure. Bayern did not give their opponents time to regain composure. Winning easily against Freiburg, Bayern is putting pressure on Leverkusen. Currently, coach Thomas Tuchel's team is unbeaten for the 7th consecutive match in the Bundesliga with 5 wins and 2 draws, 2 points behind top team Bayer Leverkusen.
Overall, this will be a relatively easy match for the home team because Freiburg has erratic performance and has not won against Bayern in the Bundesliga for over 8 years. Freiburg's most recent victory over Bayern was in the German Football Cup earlier this year. And this does not help them at all in this Bundesliga.
202  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: October 08, 2023, 11:06:52 PM

The pair Vinicius Jr and Bellingham have the potential to help Real Madrid this season. Vinicius is positioned as a striker alongside Rodrygo in a 4-4-2 formation, with Bellingham supporting right behind. Before Bellingham joined Real Madrid. Vinicius Jr. and Benzema are the club's strong attacking spearheads. I believe Vinicius Jr. will continue to help Real Madrid in the future if there are no more injuries.
It would be great if Real Madrid could recruit Mbappé. I think Vinicius, Mbappé, and Bellingham will be the next legendary trio.
Of course I am sure that if these three star players are at Real Madrid it will make Real Madrid strength even stronger in the Spanish league so it is possible that Real Madrid will not be easily beaten by any club including in the Champions League.
And if Vinicius Jr, Bellingham, and Mbappe are able to work together compactly in a club like Real Madrid, of course Real Madrid will have the opportunity to win in La Liga and can win the title in the Champions League again with the help of these three star players
I hope Mbappe can joined next winter and with these three star player Real Madrid will be able to maintain its consistency until the Champions League finals.

Mbappé can do everything, is spectacular, and would be an excellent signing. In a team, it is crucial to have players with speed and strength. Mbappé and Vinicius both have this. Bellingham will be the perfect supporter at the back.
Real Madrid needs to aim for a superior squad to advance to an era of dominance. I believe Real Madrid will not let striker Mbappé slip away. Most likely, they will get him at a low price in the next transfer season. This trio will dominate the European skies.
203  Other / Off-topic / Re: If you are becoming a billionaire in 2025,buying a large ship should not be goal on: October 06, 2023, 03:25:26 PM
Can you practice what you preach? While growing up in the hood I've seen many people who were raised from poor backgrounds into big rich men, they all have the hope of helping the poor when they have no money and after they had it all they changed totally, I am not one of those people who ridicules the rich, been poor can blind you into thinking that the rich are devil or bad people, they are not.

A rich man won't tell you how many people he has helped, they are into contribution for motherless babies homes and charities, no one, especially the poor knows much about this, and yet they will still run their mouth.

I want to become a billionaire, and yes by 2025, but can I become a billionaire and no one will benefit from me? It's impossible, even while you are poor, some people are still asking from you and you are still helping them, even evil men have their good days, automatically everyone is somehow and someway helping others.

If I become a Billionaire, I will be able to help more people than when I wasn't a Billionaire, but it's not a crime to become a Billionaire, this makes me see poor people as the main threat to the rich and honestly, it's true, this is why some rich people stays away from those who aren't rich, because automatically they are a threat to you, I know many won't accept this as a fact, when you get rich, help people from afar, my uncle used to say this.

If we want to help the poor, we can do it whenever possible, we don't need to become rich to help others. If we don't have much money, let's help them a little, that's also called helping. Don't say we will help the poor when we become billionaires, that's just a lie, and I bet whoever said this: when they become rich, they won't help the poor either.

If I become rich, I will enjoy my life because it is my constant effort and I have the right to enjoy my results. I will not arbitrarily help anyone without a good reason, if they are poor because they are lazy or addicted to gambling...then I have no reason to help them.

Honestly, I don't believe OP would do what he says even if he were rich.
204  Economy / Economics / Re: Women are more economical than men. on: October 06, 2023, 03:13:36 PM
I have to disagree, gender can't be used to determine someone else knowledge and skill.

There's a women who use most of her money to buy skincare and useless thing that she think cut, she will take a loan because she don't have any money to buy foods. There's a men who save most of his money for his future e.g. buy house, buy car etc.

You can't generalize if women is better than men in something and vice versa.

I agree with you, this topic is meaningless because there is no research or evidence that says women are better at saving than men or that men are better at saving than women. It all depends on each person's personality, and each person's personality is different. You're right, there are many women who spend lavishly on branded goods, high-end perfumes or expensive jewelry... not all women know how to save money. While there are many men who can save to build a career and raise a family.
205  Economy / Economics / Re: I am forgetting the value of money. on: October 06, 2023, 03:08:39 PM

What can I do to remember the importance of money and spend more carefully?

Plan your weekly or monthly spending, and buy only what is necessary. In case you cannot control your spending when you have money in hand. I think it's best to invest the majority of your income in long-term assets, which is what I'm doing to limit wasteful spending. Because sometimes we won't be able to control our waste when we have too much money in hand.

There are many people out there who are struggling but life is like that, when we have a lot of money we will consider the value of money very low and it is very difficult to get rid of that mindset without any planning or discipline.

As the season is concerned Vinicius Jr is one of the most important Real Madrid has,  Vinicius Jr has always played an interesting role for his club.  But I'm always worried about Vini Jr because if anything happens to him Real Madrid will really go tough time in their performance.  I just hope as the season goes on nothing happens to Vinicius Jr because he is a key player for Real  Madrid.

With Vinicius Jr and Bellingham Real Madrid still have the chance of winning trophies even if they do not have a pure striker in the team, I'm still looking up to them to make a great performance in Champions league .

The pair Vinicius Jr and Bellingham have the potential to help Real Madrid this season. Kylian Mbappé's career is mentioned a lot. Will his talent be wasted at PSG? he stays with PSG until the end of the season. Everyone has seen Mbappé's talent, and it is no exaggeration to say he is being wasted at PSG. Since the beginning of this 2023/24 season, as usual, Mbappé has always carried the burden on PSG's shoulders. The entire PSG squad is almost just waiting for Mbappé to meet the requirements.
Now is the time for Mbappé to seriously think about leaving PSG to find a place to help him realize his Champions League dream. If he continues at PSG, his career will be similar to Neymar's.
208  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you gamble till old age or not on: October 05, 2023, 09:47:48 PM
Gambling is my passion but I don’t see myself growing old with it. There’s definitely a time that I have to stop gambling and just focus on my family or on my retirement investment for good. I believe gambling is too hard to manage anymore when you’re already old. Your heart gets even weaker so you need not to be exposed anymore with stress and pressures from gambling. But for now, I’m still enjoying gambling, and I can’t tell exactly as to what age I’m going to retire from gambling.

Gambling is a fun, entertaining game, but we can turn it into stress and pressure from gambling. Of course, gambling will not be suitable for people who care about winning and losing. I agree with your comment ''just focus on family or invest in retirement fund''. I can apply this to myself because I am passionate about this game of chance. So stopping gambling can help me be in better spirits when I get older. I will have a plan in place until I get old and will be determined to stop it.
209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: October 05, 2023, 09:25:51 PM
Brighton is really not finding it easy even after they had started very well in the English premier league they haven't been able to replicate that form in the Europa league this just shows how difficult the European international club football can be different from the domestic league football.
Joao Pedro's penalty in the final 2 minutes made it a little better for them as indeed at least 1 point is a good thing when 2 goals down at half time.
This is not an easy match for Brighton as they have to try again and again when the match is quite balanced between Marseille and Brighton.
At the moment they still have to fight harder for the Europa League because even though this is 1 point for them but in terms of the standings they are still at the bottom because they have only collected 1 point but seeing from the acquisition of other club points I think the opportunity to change performance for the better and to be able to qualify for the next phase can still be for Brighton.

Brighton is a team with a scientific and practical playing style. But their problem is that their force is thin, with some pillars injured. The midfield, their most crucial point, has become the biggest concern. The possibility that the attacking side will have to bear the burden of defense is very high. The Brighton team also had a bad start in the Europa League front. Accordingly, they suffered a 2-3 defeat at home against AEK Athens 2 weeks ago. Continuing, Brighton had to try very hard to draw with Marseille. Ultimately, a 2-2 draw helped Brighton take home its first point. They are still at the bottom of Group B with only 1 point.
210  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I choose Bitcoin on: October 05, 2023, 04:25:40 PM
Yesterday my partner came up with an idea to deposit a good some of money in a fixed deposit account on an online banking platform offering a 13% interest rate, they offered to pay the interest upfront but the initial deposite would be locked in till the exact stipulated time. Though this may sound like a good deal I discouraged him from making this investment for the following reasons.
Firstly with the rate at which the traditional currency in my country is steadily loosing value and the proposed profit and initial deposit might just be valueless at the matured time this deal might be of little or no value.
Secondly these platforms in my opinion cannot be trusted as different reasons can lead to their folding up and shutting down. I understand that life's a risk but some risks are not worth taking.
On the other hand I offered a solution. I asked him to invest in Bitcoin, now even though the price of bitcoin is volatile, in my opinion it is still more profitable to invest in Bitcoin especially for long term investment than in any fixed deposit scheme.
If you were in the position to give financial advice to someone looking for a long term financial investment, what would you advice?...

I agree with you: btc is suitable for long-term investment, I'd rather not call it an investment - it's more like buying something valuable... As for trading, it's quite hard to get profit out of short-term deals in cryptotrading. I think that btc can bring hodlers some profit in a couple of years, but most probably there won't be a dramatic price rise...

You are contradicting your own words, if bitcoin is not an investment then what do you call it? Moreover, when you buy something and expect it to be more valuable in the future, you don't call it an investment, what do you call it? But I agree with you, bitcoin will give better returns if we hold for long term instead of just trading short term. There are still many people who make profits from trading, but I believe that if we compare the total returns of both, holding will give better returns.

If not for Bitcoin, we would have all went home sad.

If bitcoin hadn't been created there would be no cryptocurrency industry, so it's no surprise that without bitcoin everything would completely collapse. I think anyone involved in this market knows this even if they are an investor in those damn altcoins. The importance of bitcoin is undeniable and it will always be so even as the market gets bigger and bigger, bitcoin will always be the mainstay, the great father of the entire cryptocurrency industry.
212  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: October 05, 2023, 02:35:19 PM
Empoli vs Udinese, This is a battle between two weak guys at the beginning of the season in Serie A.
Even though Empoli won 1 match, they still have few points. Under Aurelio Andreazzoli, Empoli is still the worst attacking team in the tournament, scoring only 1 goal and having the worst defense with 16 goals conceded.
The Udinese team has not won a single victory until now. Coach Andrea Sottil's chair was shaking violently. If he can't help Udinese win, I don't know if he can continue to sit in that position anymore.
Every team wants to win, But I really don't know which team will win. They are all equally bad.
213  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: October 05, 2023, 02:00:19 PM
Mbappé played very poorly in the match against Newcastle. Mbappé is completely lackluster. According to my calculations, in this match, Mbappé had 49 touches of the ball, with 36 passes. He also only had one shot in the 85th minute, but it missed the target. Along with Mbappé, striker Muani for 100 million almost left no mark, played chaotically, and rarely finished. That left PSG completely deadlocked in attack, while their defense made too many errors leading to goals. Newcastle gave Mbappé and PSG a nightmare.
214  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 04, 2023, 10:42:40 PM
Napoli should understand they need to have a better relationship with players like Osimhen. Because if you compare the situation of Napoli without Osimhen you can understand they usually can't have a good performance without of this player. The drama that happened to this player about the TikTok account of Napoli made Osimhen have a bad relationship with his team and there was even some news about this player leaving Napoli before his contract ended.

Italian club's supporters supports these acts of humiliating and criticizing their players when they are not in there best shape. Napoli have grown to put good fight before losing against elite teams all because of the top striker that's present for games, I'm taking about Vicror Osimhen who doesn't jeopardized his goal scoring opportunities and he ensured he utilized them good. Napoli made a crucial mistakes by posting funny video of the Nigerian who missed a penalty against Bologna, leading them to a draw tie in the game. Victor Osimhen have made his decision which would be clearer in the future when triggered.

Under tremendous pressure from public opinion, Napoli's social network CEO, Alessio Fortino, decided to resign from his position. He said he felt unable to withstand the pressure from public opinion after posting a TikTok clip mocking Victor Osimhen, Thereby pushing their relationship to the brink of danger. This is a satisfactory solution to retain Osimhen. And I think Osimhen received a private apology from the Napoli board last week. It seems they tried to reconcile their conflict.
215  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Knowledge vs hodlings on: October 03, 2023, 12:42:49 PM
Yes, agree with your thought that investing does not require much capital. If an investor acquires his investment knowledge and starts investing by making small amount of money especially by following DCA then he can gradually increase his investment and he can solve the financial problem as well. But if he does not have knowledge, it is worthless even if he owns a lot of wealth because we often say that if a man is not educated then he is blind even though he has eyes. In the same way it can be said that without investment knowledge he will not be able to see what is offered to him no matter how good it is. So capital is not always the important thing in investment.

Both are equally important and necessary. If you only have knowledge and don't have much capital, you need to make a lot of effort to accumulate capital and increase investment. While those with both large capital and knowledge will have an easier time on their investment path. But you're right, if we only have capital but no knowledge, it will only lead to failure. So in my opinion, capital and knowledge are things we need to prepare carefully before deciding to invest in bitcoin.
Yes, both of them are important, but that doesn't mean if you don't have much capital you shouldn't start your investment plans, like @JJG has been saying all this while, that you don't need much capital to start investing in Bitcoin, you can use at least $10 to start investing Bitcoin, but if you think that a $10 is too big to get before starting then try $5.

Once you have your first BTC with low capital, anytime you have another small amount of money you can still accumulate, even little by little, you will see that you have accumulated more than the amount you are planning to get without even you noticing it.
As a new investor, they should avoid procrastination because procrastinating can easily cause a person not to even invest in Bitcoin, so they should avoid it.

Exactly, and that's what differentiates bitcoin from all other assets or investments. We can start with minimal capital to invest in bitcoin, unlike investments that require fixed amounts or require large capital like real estate and that is a barrier huge for many people. Bitcoin is special and most friendly to everyone because people can invest with any amount of capital or can accumulate over time. Although it is not much related to this topic, I would like to add that, bitcoin is for everyone.
216  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin be accepted as a dominant currency in the future? on: October 03, 2023, 12:25:07 PM
The popularity of Bitcoin in the future will most likely increase and there will be more adopters compared to today. However the increasing popularity of Bitcoin will probably be a problem for governments because it will disrupt the distribution of fiat and it is likely that the majority of governments will not allow Bitcoin to become more popular. So I think whether Bitcoin will become the dominant currency in the future is quite unlikely because government regulations are increasingly strict. Moreover, until now most people treat Bitcoin like an investment instrument, so even though the adoption of Bitcoin is increasing it is not because Bitcoin is a currency, but an investment instrument with a good ROI.

Many governments have been accepting bitcoin more, so I don't think governments will find a way to limit its popularity. But I agree with you that they will not allow bitcoin to become popular as a currency, instead they will accept it and treat it as a commodity for us to trade and tax.

The government certainly won't let bitcoin become a currency, but what about investors like us? I also believe that many people are happy for bitcoin to become an investment rather than a currency. So, bitcoin's path to becoming a currency will be very difficult indeed.
In general, you're correct regarding governments. Do they not enjoy having control? They enjoy paying taxes and following the rules. Doesnt Bitcoin disrupt the current quo because it is decentralised? When we, the investors, exchange Bitcoin, they can tax our profits if they regard it as a commodity. They won, so thats a victory, right?

However, even though we can see Bitcoin's potential as a medium of exchange, there is a major issue at hand: Are we, the general public, really willing to spend Bitcoin if its price keeps rising? Imagine using Bitcoin to purchase a pizza today, then realising a year from now that you could have purchased a car with that same Bitcoin! Governments play a role, but so does our mentality. We might be the ones preventing Bitcoin from succeeding as a currency. Isnt that something to consider?

To be honest, we humans are very selfish, and no one is willing to sacrifice their own interests for others for the good of the community. I always see people saying that they really want bitcoin to be a currency and that they are ready to use bitcoin as an alternative to fiat so that it is recognized as a currency. Everyone talks well, but no one sacrifices their bitcoins to become a pioneer in using bitcoin as a currency. People only know to hold and wait for the price to increase to make a profit, but they always encourage others to consider bitcoin as currency. That's why I think we ourselves are the big barrier to becoming a currency.
217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: October 02, 2023, 10:24:16 PM

Regarding Real Madrid victory over Girona, I myself suspected from the start that Los Blancos was a nightmare for them. However, we appreciate Girona achievements for several weeks without being defeated, now Girona is in third place in the standings. If ATM against Sevilla is held in the near future, I think they will be evicted again, of course with the condition that ATM must win against Sevilla.

Whatever happens this season, I will continue to commend Girona for their performance and efforts put in from the beginning of the season to win at least five games in a row and keep their top four position in the rankings. Indeed, Real Madrid was no match for them, and they face a formidable opponent. The defeat of Real Madrid should not weaken them, but rather motivate them to put in more effort in their next game to regain their winning form.

Girona is a strange phenomenon this season, and they have commendable achievements. This is only the 4th season Girona has participated in this tournament. This makes their beginnings even more remarkable. Girona's attack is playing very well. They have scored 18 goals from the start of the season so far. But Girona could not create a surprise against the club with the highest quality players and most prosperous tradition in Europe despite playing at Montilivi's home field.
The Madrid giant is a prominent name in La Liga and the Champions League. Losing this match is normal for a new team like them.

Is there any chance that we might see Lionel Messi going to the Saudi Pro League? I think it will be really interesting to see him playing against Cristiano Ronaldo or even play with Cristiano Ronaldo if he actually goes to the same club that Cristiano Ronaldo is in at that time. That would be really something to see. Maybe the lifelong dream of many people will actually come true. Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo playing in the same team.

But I am just speculating. That does seem like a little too good to be true. But I actually think that Lionel Messi might also think about his retirement. After all, he has achieved everything in football.

Yes, that is the dream of the fans of the two idols. Or there will be a friendly match for Messi and Ronaldo to compete against each other one last time. But maybe it was just a dream. Messi rejected Saudi Arabia's colossal salary offer before joining Inter Miami. I think because he received the most prestigious award for a ''World Cup'' player. For him, there is no more title to pursue.
Currently, being happy with his family and returning to his homeland is probably what he wants.

I will do my best to promote bitcoin to the people around me, to the villages and communities around my region. I’m doing this so that people will get to know the truth as I don’t want others to have the regrets I have today. I want to give people the same opportunity that my friend gave me ten years ago. I will do my best and the choice is theirs to make. I will never give up on my quest to spread bitcoin to others. So help me God!!

I don't think you'll be able to do that. Who will believe you if you yourself have not achieved any positive results with bitcoin? If you want people to believe what you say, you first need to prove that you have invested in bitcoin and that it is bringing change to your life. Only then will people believe what you say is true, otherwise you are just wasting your time.

My advice, you should focus on changing yourself because it's never too late to start with bitcoin. Don't try to be a good person when you can't even take care of yourself.

By the way, I see you always repeat that you will help people understand bitcoin, but I don't see you mention that you invest in bitcoin, have you invested in bitcoin?
