201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [WELL] - The decentralized global marketplace for healthcare on: January 31, 2018, 08:07:14 AM
why does the website say that Well Inc is incorp in Delaware and in FAQ it says that legal entity is registered in British Virgin Islands?

Hello!
The company Well, Inc (that already works in California since 2015) is incorporated in the USA.  The new platform WELL (on blockchain) is a subsidiary company called Well Network, ltd - and it's registered in British Virgin Islands.

Hello, Bitcointalk people:)

We are creating WELL Platform - where patients can connect with doctors via different devices and get medical consultation (telehealth solution on blockchain). Here is our site if you'd like to see more info https://joinwell.io. And that's our WEB PLATFORM for a test: https://www.tele.joinwell.com

Our plan is to develop a great, really global, network of clinicians and doctors  who will present on our Platform.
Do you know any doctors/ clinics that can accept cryptocurrency as a payment for their services? Any countries are welcome!

This is a great idea and I hope you succeed. I wish you all very well!

Please tell me, do you support also other health-related professions like psychologists ? This type of advice can be provided by the means of videoconference easily and I think it would be great to extend what you are doing to this field too. Please let me know.

Yes, we do. We want to attract as many specialists in different fields as possible. So if you have someone on mind, don't hesitate to write us to get details)

Thats cool one. This is second thread I guess that I have seen reading such services. The other one was about different services but this one is even better. We could just pay the doc from the virtual world for wasting our money on the medicine which are the harmful drugs really. Lolz!

Well, speaking about the service it does seem to me innovative and will take giant leap in the future for sure. I don't really think my practitioner will really like the idea to get paid in terms of bitcoin but I'm sure you will do great with this services. Hope to see some lists in the future updates if you could. The website is fine but you may wish to update a complete list of doctors according to the region and then everyone can access it easily.

Thanks for opinion! Like your idea of listing the doctors on the web-site. Will forward to the team.
Would be happy to see you on our thread here, on Bitcointalk,  also)

When patients come from different countries or tourists when they fall sick, it becomes easy for them to pay in terms of bitcoins than go through the whole process of currency exchange. This in fact makes things easier for people and patients. The hassle of carrying a card or cash can be bypassed. Such an arrangement should be promoted that makes things comvenient for all of us who are world citizens, where our world is getting smaller and closer.

Exactly. That's one of the reasons why crypto becomes universal indeed. it's good for cross-border payments

Good news and good luck for your medical project by accepting blockchain as a means of payment ,I also have a doctor's acquaintance and he has also been joining bitcointalk since 2017 , I will tell him about your project may be able to you discuss with him , health is very important for human well I respect every doctor including my acquaintance

Hello! Thanks, that would be awesome to discuss with the doctors and get their opinion:) Though on WELL platform doctors would be able to accept fiat as well)
I can give you the link to our site https://joinwell.io, probably it may be interesting to you.
Also we have a ANN thread here.
208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Doctors and clinics accepting cryptocurrency on: January 30, 2018, 01:15:33 PM
I don't like the idea of medical consultations over the Internet. This is stupid. It's like a virtual wedding. You can have virtual sex but the fun and children you don't have to be. It seems to me that the establishment of such platforms is premature. When cryptocurrencies will be popular people will be looking for ways to earn them.

Thanks for opinion. But still there are many ways where online appointments may be useful and helpful. For instance, when you already have a diagnosis concluded by another doctor and you want a second opinion.
Or for example, you simple don't have time/opportunity to visit a doctor. Services like our platform WELL (https://joinwell.io) may really help.
209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Doctors and clinics accepting cryptocurrency on: January 30, 2018, 12:03:23 PM
If it can be implemented, the use of cryptocurrencies becomes important and can come into our lives, not just those of us who understand cryptocurrencies. Ordinary people know cryptocurrencies and even join the world of cryptocurrencies.

Agree. Especially when it refers to our own health. Healthcare industry now is facing a lot of challenges, it's even disrupted. Blockchain with its features can make it better)
210  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Doctors and clinics accepting cryptocurrency on: January 30, 2018, 12:00:34 PM
It's great to hear that doctors and clinics are accepting bitcoins. This isn't yet happening in our country. I hope this time will come. As I always said paying through bitcoin means convenience on both parties.

It is. It gives more transparency and safety to the whole process, especially what refers payments.
actually we develop global Telehealth service called WELL, where patients can pay not only with crypt, but with fiat also.
211  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Doctors and clinics accepting cryptocurrency on: January 30, 2018, 09:05:39 AM
I am a U.S.-based psychiatrist who just started accepting cryptocurrency  in my multi-state direct-to-consumer  telepsychiatry practice. I decided to accept crypto mainly due to its lower processing fees compared to credit cards.
Joinwell.io sounds like an interesting, innovative concept in global healthcare .However,   medical licensing and malpractice risk management  issues could  be challenging especially  for US-based providers that are  trained to be cautious in this  litigious environment.

Hello! Great to hear an opinion from a specialist!
Well, we already operate as Well, Inc in California, delivering Telehealth services. Got a medicare license and HIPAA compliant.
Would be very happy to talk to you, for instance, via Skype or something. As we are expanding our doctors' network
212  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Doctors and clinics accepting cryptocurrency on: January 30, 2018, 08:37:26 AM
Your plans are really great, but to do that is not really easy. and in the present circumstances, finding a human resource that accepts salaries by crypto is a very difficult task. in addtion, Will the government allow you to do this or not?

Well, we completely understand that it's not very easy to implement. and on WELL platform doctors can accept fiat money as a payment. (our business model is fully described in whitepaper - invite you to read it here: https://joinwell.io/docs/joinwell-whitepaper-en.pdf)
As for the governmental issues, we hope that someday there will be changes to do that. And by the way WELL already operates in California (the USA), but with no blockchain implemented. And got Medicare license.

Any news about the project? Any activities? Please share

Hello. Recently our founders were in Miami for the crypto conference (you can read the news a bit upper): met a lot of influentials in the industry, talked to clinics and etc.
Also currently we are developing our web-platform demo, adding new features.
And expanding our doctors' network by negotiating to clinics, physicians and etc.)
Working hard indeed)

NEWS: WELL Attends North American Bitcoin Conference in Miami

WELL founders Ildar Fazulyanov and Alex Prokhorov were at the North American Bitcoin Conference in Miami last week meeting with potential partners and those interested in project. The event (part of the World Blockchain Forum: Investments & ICOs) was attended by approximately 4,000 people.

Main conference highlights for WELL:
- Meeting with cool people: Tai Lopez, celebrity investor and advisor to over 20 multi-million dollar businesses, whose podcast gets approximately 800,000 downloads a month; Slava Baikalov of Qurrex, the first hybrid crypto exchange; and Bitcoin evangelist Chris DeRose.
- Future of ICOs is with companies that have real products (such as WELL) powered by blockchain, as opposed to tokenized ideas projected onto blockchain. WELL was a standout among contributors eager to enter the healthcare arena with companies that already have a working product in place.
- Ildar and Alex were able to speak with several healthcare clinics, doctors, and contributors who have already expressed interested in partnering with WELL

Hi there! Did you hear quite breaking news about AI-equipped Stethee ‘smart’ stethoscope? It could be a step forward to the better user experience for WELL telehealth platform.

No, haven't heard.
Wow, that's a real breakthrough technology and can be used for remote appointments. Thanks for the info. For WELL it's really interesting, and may be quite beneficial!

Telemedicine has been showing great promise as an alternative mode of care for patients suffering from cardiovascular disease

How patients can benefit from WELL ?
- nurses and doctors can now remotely monitor patients’ vital signs using cutting-edge monitoring devices.
- WELL becomes particularly helpful when patients have mobility issues or are feeling unwell.
- it saves a great deal of time and money on transportation costs (especially when the hospital or doctor’s office is far away).
- WELL appointments work out at approximately 30% less than in person visits
- virtual visits on the WELL platform can be scheduled 24/7, 365 days a year (so people’s normal schedules are not disrupted and they do not have to take time from work etc.)

You are welcome to read the whole article on our blog

Stay healthy and WELL Smiley

We announce partnership with Amberdata

WELL announces  our partnership with Amberdata, the essential provider for operationalizing public and private blockchain. WELL will use Amberdata’s platform to monitor and support blockchain operations.

WELL operates in a precise, structured manner using a decentralized system via blockchain technology, to ensure that there is always transparency in what the company does and also WELL uses blockchain to store needed data, for example, client’s medical histories.

We are really excited about our future cooperation collaboration with Amberdata. The company’s founding team has extensive experience solving challenging problems in the blockchain world, and enabling new opportunities in the market. Amberdata’s platform will help us integrate blockchain into our existing businesses processes,” said CEO and founder of WELL, Ildar Fazulyanov.

Shawn Douglass, CEO of Amberdata, added: “WELL is realizing decentralized healthcare, eliminating borders and connecting medical professionals with patients across the world. We are proud to support the team and their vision providing the operational telemetry”.

You can read full details on our MEDIUM blog

Are you as excited as we are? Wink

How this collaboration will affect the platform development? I didn't get the point.

WELL will use Amberdata tools to monitor and support blockchain operations. So it will help us to implement blockchain solutions of WELL

When this solution will be done and start working? Any forecast?

We plan to release WELL blockchain platform in the 4th quarter of 2018. But it all depends, probably we'll manage t do it earlier

The word telemedicine came about in the 1970s. At first such medical solutions mainly served patients living in under-provided and rural areas.
Today telehealth represents healthcare's natural evolution in the digital age.

What makes it so efficient?
- it facilitates chronic disease management
- telemedicine decreases providers’ travel times enabling them to plan their schedule in a more efficient way and see more patients
- the number and length of hospital stays decrease due to patient’s receiving telemedicine at home. That makes the running of hospitals more efficient
- telemedicine enables quicker detection of patients’ major warning signs and less hospital readmissions

As more cutting-edge high-tech equipment becomes available to take telemedicine to even higher levels, the efficiency of telemedicine will be even greater. And that's where WELL comes into play
With WELL customers enjoy the benefits of telehealth solutions. Patients have access to leading doctors and specialists, 24/7 365 days a year via the highly practical and efficient WELL web and mobile platform.
